Why would you want to pretend to be Planswalker? I mean... He's awesome and everything, but you're awesome too.
But if you really want, I'll distract him with a group of trees performing opera while you sneak in and get them. I think Mabel would be perfect to conduct the orchestra.
Would this plan work?
@V But then they would mess up the Arias!

I truthfully don't know. It is a wonderful instrument.

Germans? Oh, they'll learn. I'll make 'em.
Or do you mean sisters? We never learn.
Do you have siblings? Do you love them or hate them?

Stoats legit King Arthur by The Succubus.
I have an older brother - I don't see much of him these days but I think we get along better than we used to when we were kids. It's kind of a "Cold War" relationship. My twin sister I get along much better with her although I never think I'll understand what goes through her head sometimes.
This is a question I purloined from the LGBT thread - what do you think your spirit guide/totem animal is and why?

Because you have not come up with a properly compelling excuse. Unless your boss has seen Ted, I recommend the "my significant other tried to break up a dog fight, got bit and is at the hospital" schtick.
Due to chemo, everything tastes like it's been coated in sugar. How can I get past this?
@V: I'll live. It's mostly palliative treatment at the moment, but physically I'm feeling okay - and besides, there's a handful of people who've told me that if I kick the bucket because of this, they'll come and kill me. Most of them are women. And you know what they say of women and their wrath...
In answer to the question perhaps look at foods + flavours that don't so much try to mask the sweet problem (otherwise you'll end up with two conflicting tastes and everything'll taste like crap) but work with it. Dishes like ham and bacon are good with a small amount of (non-sweet honey glaze as your tastebuds will help with rest, along with certain salads. You could try curries as well, using the spiciness to subdue your tastebuds a little.
Would sort of question should I ask TPBM?

I see them! You left them at the end of my bed. Don't get up -- I'll make you some coffee.
Can you suggest something to make some white noise at night in cooler weather [i.e. not a fan]?
@v Interesting, sweetpea, thank you. I do have tinnitus too although I want the white noise more to drown out noises from outside. I'll look into a Canadian equivalent.
& no you didn't break the 3-post rule, but it would have been okay with me if you did.

Sorry if I'm busting the 3 post rule but I most certainly can, my delectable parakeet.
I work with hard of hearing individuals and many of them complain of something called tinnitus, which is the fancy term for hearing phantom noises in the ear. One of the therapies we use to treat it involves "noise generators" which can help distract the ear. They often have quite a wonderful range of different sounds, like ocean waves, birdsong (my favourite is rain).
This is a shop run by the RNID - a UK organisation for hard of hearing folks. If there's a Canadian equivalent, they might be able to point you in the right direction. =)
How are you feeling today? =)

Better than yesterday. I have a cold, and I'm waiting for something, so not good, but definitely better. Being able to do something (like browsing this forum) is helping.
Do you wait for something to happen?

Patience. Lots of patience. Also, try filling the paperwork out in pencil on one copy and double-check everything's right before filling out and submitting a copy in ink.
Hard one, what would no one else know? The Winds of Gath by E. C. Tubb? Would that count? Though I think it was the 4th book in the (33 book) series that was my favorite, Kalin, but it's been so long and I marathon read the 32 books that were out at the time (the 33rd was published like 20 years later than most of the series do to legal struggles) so I forget which one was my absolute favorite.
If you were any Lord of the Rings character which one do you think you'd be?
