Somehow, I managed to see "Next to Normal" the weekend before last. It was ... fabulous (it's about the effects of a mother's manic depression on her life and family). Such a unique zany spectacle.

I don't live among them, but my family is the Appalachian sort of redneck (think Lil Abner) and we visit them at least twice a year. They're not would-be domestic terrorists though, far from it.

I've never left Australia. But I have been to Sydney. (Which is ten hours away from where I live, so don't say I haven't travelled. Also, I suffer from motion sickness, and that combined with not sleeping for a night on the bus on the way back meant I was incredibly sick the next day. Therefore, I'm taking a plane next time)
Have you ever visited Queensland?

However, if you need too, make sure you've prepared before. And remember, people understand if you have to read your speech off a piece of paper.
I got through all my high school oral presentations that way.

Yes I do, my dear Elemental, all of it to do with breathing and projection and eyes and freeness of gesture that is difficult to convey without a few years of actorly training. More important, though, is to communicate with intent to the audience, and not just recite solipsistically.

@@V Indeed. I was even lucky enough to see it in the cinema when it first came out.
I recommend watching it. And yes, there is some swearing, but it's not rude or obnoxious or anything. Just keep the volume down in those parts.

Least-favorite? That is a tricky one. Um..... I'm going to assume out of all my favorites you're looking for the one at the bottom instead of my most-hated songs, of which there are many.
Probably... Shepard Lad. It's a very good song but it's just fallen out of favor.
Is there any song of yours you could listen to again and again?
That's a difficult question. But there are some soundtracks I can listen to for ages without fail.
In fact, I'm currently listening to the soundtrack of Howl's Moving Castle. It's very soothing in parts.

I'd probably convince them to give communism a fighting chance. It got villainized and I always wish I could see what a superpower with the existing infrastructure originally postulated could do.
