I can make a new entrance at a different location if people think it would help. At will ability, so if you think it'd help just say so.

And did we get back to the Rogue Encampment to rest in between? I thought we were going to do that...
Mariah healed you up. Resting seems like a bad idea because we get ambushed when we come back.
Edit: please note the buffs that Mariah just gave everyone. Koury, if Corretha can't hit with a +5 buff active, it's time to switch from ranged touch attacks to AoE spells.

I got the initiative bonus.
(Actually, I completely forgot about me missing it last time, and just used the value that is on your new sheet.)
As for going back to town for a nap, no, you didn't. The only opinion on the matter I got (or the only one I noticed) was the one that Mariah would heal you up, rather than you returning to town.

Oh, right.
The red squares are the big forge fire.
The brown squares are a table, covered with various tongs, small hammers, and similar instruments. Several more are hanging on the walls (tools, not tables).

You actually lost (barely), but the opposition didn't do anything you can see. The smith seems busy producing that clang, and all the others did was to shuffle around a bit.

OK. I remember now why I thought that idea was sorta "meh". It's because the class specifically states "Dirgesinger levels do not stack with bard levels for determining which bardic music effects... a bard has access to."
I think that needs to change, otherwise my Song of Sorrow will be permanently stuck at the reverse-Inspire-Courage of a 5th level bard.
Hi Ernir! We need to resolve the question on how the Dirgesinger levels stack with bard levels.
Also, if anyone has suggestions on my upcoming build, please chime in. I'm currently planning on 3 to 5 levels of Bard and 5 levels of Dirgesinger. Since I'll start at level 10 (or possibly 11), this gives me 2 levels to maybe take a different class or two. I'm not really sure where I'm going after Dirgesinger so suggestions are welcome. My current thinking is a level or two of Crusader, but the problem with that is that it seems to beg for Jade Phoenix Mage after Dirgesinger, and that's.. not particularly exciting for me. It could work I guess, but it seems.. meh.

Sorry everyone, work has been kicking my butt since last week. 12 hour days sitting at my PC troubleshooting work issues has left me with very little desire to turn on a computer while I'm at home. Hoping it calms down in the next couple days and I can get back to regularly scheduled posting.
Yikes, looks like I missed the boat on this one...I was at 51/118 after that last fight. I'll try to get a post up tonight after I make dinner for the family.

Since it doesn't matter yet I'm pretty sure Ernir will let me heal you to full. I'll get a post up for the heals in a bit.

Hi Ernir! We need to resolve the question on how the Dirgesinger levels stack with bard levels.
How about
Quote:
Dirgesong (Su): A dirgesinger gains the dirgesong ability. Dirgesong follows the same rules as bardic music (see Bardic Music, page 29 of the Player’s Handbook). Dirgesinger levels stack with bard levels for the purpose of determining how often a character can use dirgesong or bardic music, as well as the bonuses provided by the bardic music effects the character knows. Dirgesinger levels do not stack with bard levels for determining which bardic music effects a bard has access to. Each of these songs counts as a use of bardic music.
and
Quote:
Song of Sorrow: A dirgesinger can evoke sorrow and lament in his enemies. To be affected, an enemy must be able to hear the dirgesinger perform. The effect lasts for as long as the enemy hears the dirgesinger perform and for 5 rounds thereafter. An affected enemy takes a penalty on Will saving throws, attack rolls and weapon damage rolls equal to the bonus provided by the bard's Inspire Courage bardic music effect. Any bonus that would increase the effect of Inspire Courage has a corresponding effect on Song of Sorrow. A successful Will save (DC 10 + the dirgesinger's ranks in Perform) negates the effect and makes the character immune to that dirgesinger’s song of sorrow ability for 24 hours. Song of sorrow is a mind-affecting ability.

Speaking of things unlikely to be missed, Corretha would have used one of her PoP 1s and her one remaining PoP 2. In addition, she would have used her headband to recover a level three spell.
Spells recovered: Max Lesser Orb of Acid (1st), Max Lesser Orb of Fire (2nd) and Heart of Water (3rd).
Heart of Water was recast right away, reestablishing my Heart of combo.
Huh, here's a question. I'm using the name construct ability from my PrC, which allows me to give a recitation to my constructs. I do have to maintain it with a swift action every round, but does it also include the other restrictions that Recitations labor under, namely being unable to use other truenaming? And, should I make a truenaming roll to attempt to put the Recitation up, augmented and everything else?

I'm going with the favorable interpretations. You're already increasing the truespeak DC to get the recitation on the AC, rolling again doesn't seeeeem to be implied?
And the whole thing would suck so horribly if you couldn't use other truenaming while boosting your Astral Construct that it can't be right...

Confirmation from Kellus that being unable to use utterances is what is intended. I think I can see the point: some of the higher level recitations seem pretty good, I guess.
As for augmenting it, the augmentation is supposed to be added to the roll to manifest.

Ah.
Well, if we have Word of God on it, I suppose he knows his system better than I do. =/
