Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Night 5:
The woman stayed inside her cavern, stirring the ingredients in her pot. She looked over the man in front of her, less of a man, and more of a… thing. He glowed lightly, a benevolent grin across his face. The sound of a bell tinkling followed him where he went. She glared at him suspiciously, then shook her head. “You wish to help regain a throne?
How do I make your motives known?”
The glowing man shook a little, tinkling furiously. The woman shook her head. “I do not know how much I can trust,
Tell me, are you sprinkling dust?”
He flew around the room for a moment, and the woman continued to stir her potion. “If you must remain with me,
Then the night’s action you shall see.”
She lifted a mirror to the man’s face, and it shifted to show an old man with a scar over his left eye and a wide grin. In the mirror, the old man grabbed a sword from off the cavern’s wall. He spoke to the woman at the pot as she stirred lazily. After a moment, she removed the sword from its sheath and dipped it into the pot. It glowed with mysterious power, then she removed it and handed it to the older man. He grinned, and took off. She shook her head and continued stirring.
The woman placed the mirror back on the ground, and watched as the man turned into a small ball of light and left her cavern. She shook her head and continued stirring.
The older man grinned as he came upon the castle. Unlike the Rogue, he wasn’t sneaky. He rode right past with his horse, slashing with his newly-imbued sword, killing all the guards he came into contact with. He laughed heartily, coughing slightly as he did. He hadn’t seen so much action in twenty years. He made his way into the castle, dismounting and snatching a lance from one of the fallen guards. He stabbed the lance into the ground and threw the horse’s reins over it to keep it there. He stalked towards an old room he remembered. One of the king’s most trusted stayed there now. He slid one gloved finger along the edge of the blade, grinning deviously. He thrust the door open, and the man inside gasped.
The older man grinned, winking. “I remember you. It has been years, but I remember you.”
The potions maker leapt up, holding his potions close. “S-sir…”
The older man put a finger to his lips. “Save it. I remember you, you remember me. Surely you understand why I must do this.”
The potions maker nodded. “Yes. But you also understand why I did what I have done.”
The older man shook his head. “Frankly, young’un, I don’t try to understand most of what you kids do.” He waved the blade, then nodded. “Good blade, this. I am sure you see… just what has been done to it…”
The potions maker shook his head. “No, no, she…”
“Yes. She did. Just like you did.” He stood a little straighter, adding, “Thing is, she knew what she was doing when she did it.” He leapt at the potions maker, who tossed a potion onto the ground, creating a smokescreen. The older man began coughing, then cleared his eyes, noticing that the man had gone. “Damn you. But you will not be back. Not for a while. At least these old bones have done that much.”

Gnomish, I tried to boost you again. Anything?
Anyone else wish it was the Rogue making Pengi mad (as long as someone is doing it, of course we wish no one was making Pengi mad)? That would certainly make this job easier.
Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Nothing. I'm betting your boost just gives my target double protection instead of giving me two protections. I haven't heard a word of being boosted or anything like that.
I don't like that the wolves killed C'Nor. It was probably for his nightkilling ability, which could mean they're getting more confident in their win. What other things could he do at night?
Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Yes, Sit mister Ebonwolf
now roll over, shake, good boy.
Anyways we can confirm that C'nor was not lying about his role.

Hm. Well. It's been an interesting game. Good luck on defending the castle (or killing off its current inhabitants, depending on your side...), everyone! And thank you, &we. The confirmation is appreciated.

Ok guys, last night I scried C'nor and Marked Bookboy. I wanted to know whose side C'nor was on and I thought Bookboy could be a potential wolf target.
My scry on C'nor came as Good But...
My Mark on bookboy must have been redirected because it went to a mark on C'nor and I found that he really was the medicine man.
If the redirecting was a test of some sort then Thanks! Because it acually helped but it could have just been chance.
Anyway, nice to still be around.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
The Rogue is dead it's good to know
because he was our greatest foe.
Well, actually not our greatest but one of them. If only the masked seer would still be alive.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Venetian mask targeted me last night.
Now that he's scried a second time,
The Blackguard still is Tom the Mime.
So, on the other hand, Matthias, why did you lie about scrying C'Nor?
Also, @bookboy: To quote what I wrote:
'From this I conclude that one of Matthias and C'Nor are wolves, could we have our handy-dandy king check one of those out for us this night phase?'
I said one of, not both.
Ironically, even though I was on a wrong lead, I might have been right about one of them being a wolf.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Sorry Runebound, I missed the "one of" part completely, which made that seem like very silly reasoning. Also, how do you know Mask targeted you? Which ability did you use last night?
Gnomish, I double checked the QT, and Pengi said two targets. Guess I'm just unlucky.
Ebonwolf, I admire your confidence in my ability to stay alive :P.
Tom, agreed. Which carries heavy implication that Vesth was Rogue and taking a big risk to get rid of the Marauder and secure the King's scry.
Matthias, would you care to answer Runebound's question? The narrator's said there was no fool role (not that I really trust them in this game), so you were lying.
Also, great job everyone on actually getting lynch yesterday. I wasn't sure if we could do it.

I didn't lie. Honestly. Why would I? If I was a wolf, I would want to keep a low profile and claim townie or some other easy-to-lie-about role. At least I wouldn't claim I scried a mason. Unless C'nor was a fellow wolf and I wanted him to be trusted by the town. But that would be two heavily exposed wolfs and the claim could be easily countered by having another seer scry C'nor. I was probably tricked. Or C'nor has a double role, that would be really strange.
Let's try it again. A wanton look and tattered dress,
Istari is the Sorceress.
Could someone confirm this? Because I'm either a fool or somebody is messing up all my scries. Or the people claiming to be seers are actually lying.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Sorceress does sound like an appropriate name for what Istari has been claiming to be able to do.
Do disguisers give scries a false result or no result? I think we've been forgetting that there is probably a disguiser in this game. Perhaps C'nor was targeted by the disguiser when Matthias saw him as the Keeper.
Normally, I wouldn't bring this up, except for a few reasons:
1. Matthias has a very valid point that what he did would be REALLY stupid for a wolf.
2. This is a very valid point that should be brought up.
Ebonwolf, if we don't lynch Matthias, I'd suggest you scry him tonight.
Focus on marking people that are somewhat more suspect than me (speaking of which, anyone still doubt me?). In particular, mark people that haven't claimed. Then we can pressure them and if they get lynched we learn the role anyways.
I'm going to keep targeting Gnomish, since if my ability does finally work it will be very clear and very helpful.

Then I'm a Fool. There's no other explanation. Why would anyone want to mess my scries up every night? It can't be a disguiser, that would be a really big coincidence, hitting my targets every time.
Alternative explanation: Istari is lying. Or unknowing about his real role. Not very likely, but possible.
And I'm voided today and tonight. I don't know if that will interfere with a scry on me. At least I can't use my scry and vote.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Matthias
I'm suspicious of calar as well. Matthias' logic is quite sound, and killing him today, unmarked, would be useless to us.
Matthias, scry me tonight. Then we can find out if you're a fool or not.
PirateMonk, check me tonight. Then we'll know if anything interfered with Matthias' scry attempt.
Runebound, I'd recommend starting to use your scry on the people who haven't claimed yet. That should give us a start for who to target.
Ebonwolf, mark Matthias and scry Runebound (unless you've already done that successfully). That way, if we determine Matthias is deliberately lying, we can lynch him and learn his role. And I just want to get absolute confirmation that Runebound is on our side.
Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Matthias also said he was voided, so any scry you ask of him would apparently have to wait. Too tired to actually contribute at the moment.

Sorry for the rebound, RBS. I shouldn't have skimmed the last few pages of the thread and assumed you were still a highly suspicious unknown, so I thought to neutralize you.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
Anyway, I'd like to contribute, but at the moment I have no idea whatsoever how. If anyone has suggestions for a good rebound next night, I'm all ears.
I'll just follow the current bandwagon until then, sorry calar.
