Only two more nights before the grand opening of The Rabbit Hole.
Most of your crew is already here. You're waiting on one more arrival, though. Jane's childe, Liz.
It REALLY wouldn't do if she's late for tea. Especially considering the size of the favor you're doing, putting her up in Calgary. Of course, maybe it's to be expected. Getting out of the US was much more of a pain than it used to be.
Those poor border guards. The stress finally got to them. There's a running bet between the Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat about weather or not they'll actually lop off the heads of the next group through that checkpoint.

Given the last batch? Probably.

Anyhow, you're awake now, and a little peckish. You've arranged with a local radio station, C-Jay 92 to host a talent show here at the club during the grand opening. Gets you some free advertising, with hopefully passable entertainment on top.

The local Malkavians were delighted to help you set up shop here in Calgary, given your reputation. The Prince was less so, but he should know better than to try stepping on your toes. Speaking of toes, you expect Alistair to visit some time either tonight or tomorrow- he refuses to set himself to any kind of schedual- "That way, I'm never late."

There's plenty to still be done, of course, and it wouldn't hurt to get out and listen to the word on the street.
Word in your head is that there's a large number of Kindred fleeing in this direction, and you're one step ahead of the crowd as always.

Lox sighed and put his Hat on, a black and green striped fedora in this case with a box of matches and his signature '9/pi' card tucked into the ribbon, before wandering out to the Table, the centerpiece of the Rabbit Hole's Tea Party Lounge which doubled as the meeting place for the Family as well ast he VIP dancefloor and bar...and sandwich table, and dinner table, and arena, and bed...among other things. Seeing noone currently attending the Tea, Lox shrugged and shoved a hand on his right pocket and sauntered out into the night, humming out loud to a song vibing on his end of the Cobweb, "Jane jane, Liz gone away. Hope she'll get to Tea today..."

Well, from the Flight information, she is supposed to arrive at 11PM. So she'll probably actually get in around midnight. Which is great, as it lends a bit of lunacy to her introduction.

Lox nodded, not to anyone outside his head, though, as he exited the Hole from a side door, dropping the four feet between th door and the ground without so much as flinching. Hatter matters need no ladders As it was said, sometimes...probably. Lox continued down the street towards the corner, hoping one of his contacts, currently pretending to be a hobo, would be there.

Indeed, as the night is young, your hobo friend is there. He respectfully nods his head and stands up as you approach.

Soooo....how's things? Lox smirked and asked whistfully, all the while slowly turning in place and taking in everything around him.

"Tonight? There's an ill wind blowing."

This contact, what is it he does? General information broker? guy who keeps his ear to the street? apprentice mage, drug dealer? He will have something for you, just have to know what info to drop. I'll edit it into this post when you tell me :3

Lox shrugged, "Somebody got bored of bein dead?" He suggested, then nodded at the estimated time of call, patting his pocket. "Sounds good. Well, you run into Pickadillys or Wangos, make sure and come see us, yeah?" He remarked as she walked away, waving behind him, humming the tune again as he walked down the street to the metal fabrication shop.

You hit the Metal Fab shop, it's down the alley and on the other side of the complex from your club. Place is a little worn down, business hasn't been great, but they're still running and nobody's been layed off.
The sign on the door says open, and there's a stocky older man behind the counter, looks like he's used to physical work.

Lox grinned, seeing the man as he walked right up and clapped him on the back, though he wasn't entirely sure if he nkew the man, How have you been?! I was wondering if I could borrow the use of your equipment again...Iv'e got this TREMENDOUS muse I must placate, you see, and she's simply SCREAMING metal! He practically chirped, the design throwing itself together in his head nearly as quickly as he was talking for a rather large, rather loud gun.

He waited a moment and his phone rang, once, before he snatched it from his pocket and flicked it open, expelling Hellow Liz. Lox. Hatter. Yes, I'm doing well, yourself? Good, good. It's good to hear you've landed safely. You have a car, yes? You've got directions to the Hole? Excellent. We're all very excited to have a friend of Jane's over. FOR THE LOVE OF PRIMOGEN, DO NOT BE LATE FOR TEA!!! Bring spoons. Ta! All in one large breath more AT the phone than into it before snapping it shut and sending it back into the pocket adjacent from his empty pocket watch pocket, eyes never having left the man.

The man looks at you askance.
"You want this for what, exactly? Aren't you that guy from the club? We did some work with your stage?"

Give me an Expression+Manipulation to convince this guy that you're building the gun for something club-related. Like shooting T-shirts.

It's for shooting those little rubber glowsticks.

"Right. Sure then. We can get that done in about two weeks. That OK?"

OH! Um...could I help? Lox asked, suddenly seeming shy, Or I could just draw up my idea? He offered, pulling a piece of charcoal from another pocket.

[Acanous]

"You an engineer?" He asks incredulously.
(Give me Int+Crafts, difficulty 7 to come up with an original working design, followed by Expression+Crafts to draw it out for him. One success is enough in both cases.)

As in little napkin sized piece of paper telling me some old man in a college SAYS I can draw things that wont collapse? No. He stated derisively, letting it show plainly how much he thought about THAT system as he quickly began scribbling and jotting on a nearby peice of sheet metal a detailed depiction of his, almost comically large, gun, from the copper-faced handle to the rounded square barrel body and the words, "One lump or Two?" scrawling in huge and tiny script and scratches up and down the barrel.

"What in the..." He says in obvious awe, as your mad font of inspiration trails off the napkin, onto his desk, and you start jotting down lines, curves and numbers totally out of order yet they MAKE SENSE.
The guy behind the counter is a little spooked.
"Sure. I... I'll draw you up a work order for this and bill it to you in the morning."

Glad I could help. I'M very excited to see my darlin Lorylai in the Materium. He remarked, proudly plopping the bit of charcoal back into his pocket before exitting the shop and wandering off into the night to see what was to be seen.

As you take a stroll, you catch a whiff of wet dog. It's coming from a hotel, the Sandman.

Your stroll also takes you past several rival clubs. You're sure you saw a Lasombra take someone to a car to feed as you passed Republik.
and hey, wasn't that one of the girls from that french band you're having compete on Wednesday? Maybe. You didn't know she smoked. Such a terrible habit, if you're not a caterpillar.

Lox wanders by the hotel, sneaking peaks into a few windows to see if it's a dog, a Dog, or a Puppy he smells, then continues on to the back alleys of a few of the Hole's rivals, taking particular interest in any discarded flammables in dangerous areas or open back/side doors.

indeed, you find a nearby garage which has left their oil rag disposal can outside.
It's right by Republik. They also have a back door, and it's currently open.

You catch what appears to be a prostitute leaving the hotel. She's what smells like wet dog. She looks like she's got a bad taste in her mouth, and also like she's watching for threats.

What a careless man, leaving his rags in a can... Lox mused with a wicked smirk as he casually nudged the trashcan full of rags into the nearby open door of Republik, Tragedy falls on those who are careless... His smirk spread to a devilish grin that seemed too angular for his noble features. Let's teach you Spontaneous Combustion Awareness. He chuckled darkly to himself as, with but the smallest of nudges from his psyche, the trash can full of "neglectfully discarded mechanic's rags" burst into flame, quite obviously spontaneously, as oily rags do when left lying around in small, hot spaces like this back room of Republik "some lazy employee" stashed them in.

Only affording himself the breifest moments to revel in the first thrummings of Fear deep in his mind, the only proof he had he wasn't a COMPLETE loss, and humming his Jane Liz song again, Lox tucked his hands in his pockets and wandered off to follow the odd smelling woman, curious as to what sort of Dog she was.

((Can I identify the smell as Canine, Lycan or Gangrel? Oh yes, and Vitae -1))

The rags burst into flame, and nobody has noticed *Yet*. You imagine there will be quite the stampede.

The woman is Lupine in nature, and if you wish to follow her without being seen, give me a Stealth+Dex.

Lox continued following the Dog around the corner and down the street, fashioning a scent in his mind the Lycan would find friendly...and not food related.

Lox continued following the Dog, wondering idly where she was going...but got bored after a few minutes and decided to grab the LYcan's attention with his prepared scent, Lovely night, yes?

She jumps a little, completely shocked that you surprised her. Looks like she's getting ready to fight, but then she calms down as she catches a whiff of you.
"Not really. Leeches about. Bloody strong ones, too. Barely got out alive. What are you doing here?"

Lox shrugged nonchalantly, "Damned things are everywhere now that they can't hide in the US..." He remarked, then produced a flask from his vest, taking a sip of his own Vitae he had previously deposited the night before, Oh, you know, wonderufl night like this, only thing to is head out, feed and **** and fight, right? He chuckled, offering the flask to the Dog, preparing his second 'prank' to make the contents taste like delicious, high-end liquor.

She takes it, sniffs it, and chugs it with relish.
"Thanks. I've had a really rough night. I know the one of them is gonna be prowling at a local gas station later, you wanna help me take them out?"

...I"d be worried if Lox wasn't so into the idea of a pet Dog...

Lox tucked the flask back into his vest, I had a scrape with one of their Uglies in the sewers just this morning. Took three showers to get the smell out and had to buy new clothes... He remarked, However...I am curious to watch you work... He teased, smirking slightly.
