I'm back. And slowly getting back into the fire emblem fandom again. Glad to see all my friends here again c:
Oh, it's not that I disliked him really, it's just he's kind of unrealistically one dimensional in the original game. I mean he always sort of teetered on that comedy relief/actually incompetent line, and adding in extra flirting dialogue just emphasizes that problem. Like I said though, I like him more now that we've seen him a bit more lighthearted and goofy as opposed to just being lecherous all the time to people's faces.
In previous chapters, every second or third line was a pickup line from Sain, which disrupted the mood and flow of conversation.
Now it's more like people actually talk about other things and Sain indulges his humorous fantasies in the background of the real action, which I find to be a much more balanced approach.
I hope my tiny nitpicks don't give you the impression that I'm not enjoying your work. It's very good, and I know you have to deal with what the game gives you.

Well he also has moments of not being a pervert in the original games. Such as when he offers to help Lyn get revenge. (Hopefully he just is trying to be nice.) Also his A support with Kent.
I will try in the future to show more of Sain's not perverted tendencies. And it's fine this let's play is as much for the readers, as it is for me.

My thoughts on the chapter.

Well even though Lyn did not get a chance to fight, that chapter was fruitful. Everybody but Lyn and Florina got a level up, and Florina's over 2/3rds there. I got an extra sword and lance for when I start needing replacements.
Sain's level up was terrible. A single point level up is horrible and it really impacts his future chances on the team. Right now Sain and Kent have the same avg stat up per level.
Kent's level up was decent. The best part about it is that it allows him to double the Brigands, and the Mercenaries. (As long as the random level ups don't give them speed.)
Wil's level up was awesome. He's more accurate, and avoids better, and is tougher. So if Wil keeps these level ups I might keep him as the bow user.
Thoughts on new characters

Florina is our first flier. Fliers take several defensive hits. They do not get avoid or defense bonuses from terrain, and are vulnerable to bows. However in exchange for these hits they have unparalleled movement. They are not slowed by any terrain except indoor walls. They also have the movement of Cavaliers.
Florina is right now by best answer to blocking mages. While her resistance is not high, it still beats out anyone else on my entire team. As she levels she gains above average in every stat except Hp and Defense. She on average manages to cap Skill at 25 and Speed at 28 at level 18 and 17 respectively. Florina is also the only flier I have in Lyn's mode, so no matter how bad she becomes, I'm stuck with her.
Wil is my only bow user right now. I do get another one later. Wil's growths are balanced. Except he caps strength at 25 at level 19 on average. In addition his defense and resistance growths are bad. However he had a nice level up, and he has the same affinity as me. Which will increase his accuracy and avoid as the game goes on.
That sounds like the highlight of luxury

Well the issue is though. I get him really early in Hector's mode, so if I can get Dorcas to a decent level, I'll have a decent unit from near the start of Hector's mode.
Did I mention that I love this level? you have the tactical problem of using terrain to compensate for massive outnumbering, and add to that my innate desire to kill the boss, which means exposing one or more units to being swarmed, makes an interesting challenge.

I've had this level down to a science for a while now. Kent and Sain are usually high enough level to sweep the main entrance. Will messes around with them. Lyn Florina and Dorcas clear out the left then head down. Florina sits on the forest tile on the high left milking reinforcements for experience. Will Holds the right while Sain and Kent mop up. Usually give the boss kill to Lyn.

My thoughts on the chapter.

Another chapter dealt with, I played more aggressively then I do most defend maps because I wanted the xp, and I was never in any danger. The danger won't start until at least late Lyn mode if its in Lyn mode at all. Although Hector's mode will be challenging.
On level ups.
Lyn's level was bad. A two point level up, that only increased Hp and Luck, hopefully Lyn won't have too many level ups like that.
Kent's level up was not bad. He's stronger and more accurate. This Kent has progressed a few levels. I feel comfortable evaluating his process so far. Kent has slightly more Hp then average. Which is nice. It helps him tank more blows, and he's closer to surviving a round with the final boss. Kent's strength is also above average. Which is really nice, more damage is always welcome. His skill is below average. Which is okay, I mean he uses swords and lances so a low skill isn't too horrible. His speed is right about average. His luck is below average. Which hinders his accuracy a tiny bit, lowers his avoid, and makes him more likely to get critted. Which is bad. His defense is about average, but his resistance is below average. It won't be a problem in Lyn's mode because Mages are rare, but by the time I get him in Hector's mode, it may be an issue.
Florina's level ups are nice. Thanks to her high speed and luck, Florina has the highest avoid on the team. Sitting at 31. The extra resistance is also nice.
Wil's level up was okay. Nothing really to report. I'd wish he'd have gotten Speed instead of Skill so that he could double archers though.
Sain's level up was okay. However Sain may be the first person I kick off the team. Kent has more Hp, Skl, Spd, and Res. Sain only wins in Luck, and Def. It's not looking too good for Sain.
My thoughts on new characters.

Dorcas is an axe fighter, right now he's my only axe fighter, and until I got my super unit near the end of Lyn's mode it will stay that way. In addition any xp he gets will help with Hector mode since he joins in the second chapter of it. So I'm kinda stuck with him. Dorcas caps Hp on average, and nearly caps 30 Strength on average. However his speed is terrible barely reaching 13 at 20/20 on average. On the bright side his skill is high for an axe user. Giving him extra accuracy.
