The Kakuna starts inching away, trying to escape. Hank flits away as well, but doesn't fly too far, only sitting in a tree branch.

The Snivy takes the shadowy hit, then moves back, launching another vine at the Pokemon.

Romeo limps off to find Jessica.

'Looks like I'm on probationary boyfriend duty. Look, I'm going to be honest. You can see what kind of man I am. You've read my mind. I wont promise to be only with you, and I don't expect you to be with only me. But, if one day we fall in love with each other, I'd cherish you beyond my very life, beyond my soul. Is that okay with you? I just want to make my intentions clear. Your friends don't seem to think I'm the right sort of man for you, but I think thats for us to find out, not them. Don't you?'

He looks back at Artemis. 'I didn't cheat, I just didn't stop someone else cheating.' He smiles at her happily, and Artemis can see he doesn't hold any grudges to her or Taylor.

Romeo throws back his head and chuckles. 'Well, I'm sorry. Looks like I wasted everyones time. Sorry about that everyone. At least I had fun in the rock shooting room. The Arbok? I'll give that a pass.'

He looks at Gerald and Ethan. 'Well, lets get to work, shall we?'

The Snivy bats the ball away easily with its tail, breaking it in half, launching another vine, this time at Paul.

The Kakuna uses a silken thread to pull itself towards a tree.

Big mistake, the same voice says into your mind, seemingly amused.

"Let's get your ribs checked. Trust me, that can be pretty bad."
He thinks about a few chemical scars on his back, and the arbok that gave them to him while trying to crush him, before someone took it's head off with a shotgun. Not a fun day.

"I think that's up to them, not me. You know, because I dot assume people will be okay with whatever I decide." She looks back at Romeo as she says the latter half.

'I'm not dumping you. I still feel exactly the same way I do about you now as I did when I met you. But I can't be what you want. It's you who just dumped me.'

"Gah, let me butt in before she ends up killing you. She's the girl. She's got the psyokinetic powers. That means she's right. You were doing well up until you accused her of dumping you."

She walks away, only to have Taylor walk over and put her arm around her, talking into her ear.

Gerald looks to the girl, then to Sparky, questioning. Was there anything he could do? The joltik shakes her head. Ah well. He pushes against Romeo with his toolbox.
"C'mon, before you do something to make it worse."
He tries to herd Romeo out of the gym.
"Ethan, little help? Nice meeting you, Artemis. Do what you need to, either way."

Ethan shoots Romeo an evil glare, which is only amplified by the lighting catching his glasses. He snaps his fingers, indicating Romeo should move to his side, now.

I have all day. Well, except for when I have to pick up that Ralts from the TM store. But I can push that back a bit. "Hey guys, I'll catch up later. She seems like she needs more than just one friend right now." She runs after Taylor and Jessica, glaring at Romeo one last time. Now wasn't the time for "I told you so's," no matter how tempting. "Jessica, you okay? That was a terrible way for him to dump someone."

C'mon Casanova, lets do something productive with your time. Ethan walks out of the gym with Gerald and Romeo in tow. Any psychics will detect the hint of annoyance in his mind.

Hey, you don't get the right to grumble at me until you man up, bug. But no worries, we'll work out the kinks in you yet.

He regroups his battered Pokemon and recalls all of them save for the still-healthy Hank. He then sets off back for the big city, looking to find a Pokemon Center.

Artemis pats her back. "I don't blame you. To their credit, not all of them are bad. He was a ****. So are some of us, honestly. Just...be careful. Just be careful around guys in general, actually. All of them want at least one thing from you. It's your job to find the ones that want something besides that. At least this came out before you did something that you would really regret." Wow, this is just like what Maman told me when Damian tried this at school. Crap, she might have actually been right about something.
She pulls out her arrow and starts twirling it around. "It might just be a personal thing, but when I got mad, I always got a satisfaction of firing this at a target. It helped me focus and keep my mind clear." The arrow glints in the artificial light of the Gym. She plucks it out of the air and offers it to Jessica. "You want to take a shot? Might take your mind off of things."

Outside the Gym, Romeo speaks to Gerald and Ethan. 'Could one of you drag me to the pokecenter? Preferably the non-psychic one. I'm still a little paralysed here. And my bad luck keeps happening with psychics. That one's friends tried to feed me to a snake and the previous one mugged me and stole my emolga egg. None of the psychics back home were like this. Oh wait, those were mystics. Now that would explain alot.'

"If you hold this."
He hands Romeo his toolkit.
"Otherwise, you walk. Sorry, but it's hard to move people while holding something."

'Okay, deal.' Romeo grabs the toolbox in one arm and throws the other around Gerald. 'Drag away good sir.'

Sparky skitters up his arm to rest on his head as Gerald helps him to the center.
"So...did that last line ever work for you in the past?"
