The don't slit a throat by accident because they set off a reflex type.
He looks embarassed, as Taylor gets flashes of near misses today. I have too long of a violent past to trust myself enough in social situations. I need help getting out of that.
He follows them to the Saffron Gym, to watch the test.

Ethan follows the group to the gym, somewhat curious about the test. He doubted he could pass it without psychic powers or cheating. Or being more dextrous than Koga himself. He watches the events eagerly, but also scans any pokemon he sees in the gym.

Romeo decides to play along. He jumps over the low one and again swings at the high one with his case, trying to make it look like he's blasting it away with unknown psychic powers.

The Arbok pauses for a second as if it would stop, but then dashes forward as if ordered on by some invisible presence. It glares at you with evil eyes and you find yourself barely able to move.
