Well hasn't it been a minute since we've seen you around! I though you bowed out, actually. Welcome back, Cultist! How've ya been?
I have been great, actually. I'm two months into first year university and loving every bit of life! It's been kind of hectic for a while, so I have neglected the Forums. However, now that I'm finding a rhythm I find myself once again speaking to all of you wonderful people here at GiTP.
How has everyone else been?

Fluxuating in and out of conciousness, trying to maintain the attention of an incredibly bright and charming lass, struggling with my own studies due to lack of an idea of where to go, being beaten down at a soul-binging job, lost 34 lbs and started gaining muscles, and trying my hardest to maintain my own sence of balance with the forums. And that only scratches the surface.
I think we're missing one other poster, along with the Gm. Where's Shazek?

You don't know the name of these things, but you know some of their behavior.
They are, as you guessed, afraid of the light. Generally speaking, if you are in the light, you are safe. However, they are attracted to blood and have a good sense of smell. If you wander too close to the dimming darkness, there is a possibility that they will leap out and attack (assuming they are there waiting for you). The darker the area, the more danger you are in. Also, the larger the concentration of them there are, the more brave they become. However, if you end up removing all darkness and the creature is stuck in the light, it becomes fierce and will attack on sight, so you don't ever want to truly expose one, even by accident.

I own two carriages, and would prefer to take them both, so we need at least one driver.
Do you think I could use handle animal to teach Silvan how to use handle animal on other animals? At least to drive. Because I find that image hilarious.
But ya so are we at the drivers or? Not sure where are group is at the moment. Seems like we need a timeskip or?

Well, if he's capable of leading the other horses or pulling the carriage himself, then we could potentially not need another driver... funnily enough, the same could be said for Kel, actually.

I'm honestly not too sure. I thought Shazek was about to look for drivers, but nothing's happened since...

What exactly are we waiting on, anyway? Am I supposed to post now? It seemed like we were about to leave before it sudenly slowed down again...
As he stares into the recesses of the wood, examining each object at some length, Lyral ponders just how long the creatures are willing to wait at the edge of the darkness. Their torches won't last for very long, and as soon as the last of the light is gone, they will advance. Lyral calls out to Osulu.
"If you don't have any light spells, these creatures will advance. It's no trouble for me, but I think it might slow us down some." Lyral reaches into the box, taking out each item one at a time. He hands the book and the hat to the elf, sheathing the dagger with the 'skinning knife' at his hip.
He did have one light spell. The light you guys are in is from him casting it on the ring he is wearing.
