Re: Explorers of Acacia - OOC thread, the Second
I'm almost tempted to include a meta joke about having stayed in this city for all of, what, 2 days in character, but it feeling like 9 months...
Horray for getting off of work for the day, and being able to figure out what was wrong with my avatar's posting earlier!

We should probably wait till he posts the interruptions. You could roleplay or ask questions on the trip though.

Well it IS interesting random banter
I think Kel being the saintly druid would oppose being labeled by something with blood and death though

I believe my people refer to this as
"filler" ... does that mean we can be
non-canon right now, and maybe
off model ?
'zu zu's still being quiet as heck... I wonder if she's secretly up to something...

You want to know the bad part... All 3 of those links tell me I've been there before.
EDIT: 2 important things...
1: You guys are in how many carriages?
2: Roll for Initiative. EDIT 2: Do so here, as I can't seem find the dice thread.

Rolling initiative for Lyral:
So yeah, he will move before the enemies, whoever they are. Makes sense, considering that he was kind of looking out towards the countryside surrounding the party.
Also, I'm pretty sure that we are all in one wagon, are we not?

Well, for that one, Spot check please, to see if you can act in the surprise round.

Alright then, I suppose I can have Lyral roll a spot check:
Wow, a natural 1, but he still managed to get a 17.
It's impossible to auto-fail skill checks due to rolling a 1, right?

Ya, a natural one just means a poor roll. You still might make the DC.

How much experience did we get from that first fight with Cruorin? I don't seem to have noted it down on my Character Sheet.
Also, terrible, terrible rolls. I kinda wish Jorah had been built after my op-fu was stronger. As is, he seems really weak compared to what I'd expect of myself today.

I know I did. I also know (mostly from looking over your sheets, to find the number) you never noted it down. From looking, Algrith seems to be the only one to have noted the value I apparently gave of 800 xp (which sounds off, I'll start digging through logs). Also from looking, I can't get at Tarmakos's sheet, as it says I lack permission to do so.
EDIT: As it happens, 800 was correct, as per...

Right.
You do need to beat this though:
(1d20+5)[20 ] \
EDIT: Which you did not. No surprise round for you!
I'm moving forward assuming 1 carriage.

Wow, what are the odds of that ever happening? 100%, I suppose.

I know you meant that sarcastically, but you odds of failing that check in general are (According to a program I just mocked up) 7%. For failing it after a natural 1, 35%. The more you know.
My program is misbehaving, I'll be back. I brought it back in line.

So where are the enemies? Are they within 30 ft? Does Silvan get to act in the surprise round as well?

That check will do. They are in the trees the daggers flew out of, which are within 30 ft.
