I second the NPC's question, Cultist. Where did that story come from?
My memory - I had most of it written down somewhere, and adapted bits to fit this particular game world. Such things are all we have in the end anyways.

Qwerty, can I make -one- -final- change to my character sheet? There's a feat I was going to take at 9th level that I only just realized I'm not sure how to justify gaining through the story. Meanwhile, I could have taken it for my 6th level feat just fine. And the feat that would be taking its place, there's no issue in qualifying for at any level.
... There is one minor detail. If anyone attempted any good based detecting, I'm apparently a light bulb. I'm not sure if detect evil enables also detecting good by virtue of the lack of evil.

Both those rats should be very dead. Nice bit of combat, shows Lia's still got it.
Although I could have done with quite a bit more information on the combat space - I assumed the rats were at least within 2 squares of each other because I wasn't told otherwise and I didn't want to delay by asking a question about it. Similarly I have no idea how large the cellar is, whether there's any cover or lights, whether the terrain is difficult, how far away the hole in the wall is or even where the rats were in relation to me. Could really use a bit more info in future.

I was under the assumption that everyone was still there. Halaza and Tarmikos are both getting ready to leave, is all. At least if I'm following right, still.
Remember the person you captured? Tarmikos is headed off to see if he can possibly find more of them, hopefully running into other allies on the way there, for the sake of recruiting them into heading north later (and ensuring he doesn't get his butt handed to him for walking into the middle of the den of hit men by himself).
Halaza, meanwhile, is going to use the fake guard (though I'm not sure how well that would work with Digan destroying part of his armor and making him look far less ... guardy) to locate the thieves of the guard outfits.
And then it seemed like Algrith and Imaran might be joining Halaza, while Jorah intended to either help find the remaining few in the party, or ensure our searches were right. And you noted you might be able to help find people with your nose.
That seem right from each member involved at the inn?

Yeah, because fighting 15 men is exactly what Lyral needs when he is on the job...
Try not to kill them -all-... That wouldn't be very nice.
Although I'm honestly surprised you were able to save the lives of 3 of them after hitting them -and- perform a bit of surgery on them. I'd have expected a Heal skill check for that kinda thing myself. I'd have laughed if you ended up finishing them off trying to take care of them.

You do realize that Lyral just crippled two guys, right? Without magical healing, they probably won't walk again. Moreover, he planned on questioning them for information. Trust me, they would have died slowly and in considerable pain.
Also, I would feel distinctly more comfortable if you were to not refer to my character's actions as my own. I don't like getting my hands nearly as dirty as Lyral does - please do not confuse the two.

The only thing I wasn't aware of was the exact number. I thought you ended up incapacitating three of them, not two. Otherwise, I thought I was pretty much up to speed on what was happening.
I only say not to kill them because you put up the weapons and got out your bare hands. Which means there's going to be a beat down. One square blow and *BAM*:Yourheadasplode.

The two aren't confused at all. I'm aware of the difference between player and character. I just get a bit absorbed in the roleplaying, and don't always take the time to make the proper designations out of character. I'll try to work on it if it worries you.
Although I find it funny that it would seem worrisome. Other than getting myself in the mindset, I never associate myself as being the same being as my character, and I'd find it odd that I'd do so to someone else when I don't do it to me. Other than the method acting required for the role, I'm just too lazy to fix the pronouns in designating which which is which which I'm referring to.

IC, Tarmikos has probably fought worse odds. And even if he's potentially getting into a situation as bad as Lyral's, Tarmikos probably wouldn't think twice about acting. Letting you guys go one way while he goes another seems right for him.
