(Lets you cast a total of 5 fireball spells with Reflex DC 14 half: 1 of 7d6 damage, 2 of 5d6 damage, and 4 of 3d6 damage)
Yep, I have five feats plus scribe scroll (Which is automatic at lv1 for both archivist and wizard) and now I can sort my spell progressions, and just have to work out which new spells I want to learn.
That sorts out your items, I'll post them IC soon. Someone get IC actions rolling. If you have anything you want to do with your new buddy the fire giant that's up to you, otherwise you can search the bodies and head into the District.
Okay, cool on the Goodness :)
I intend on taking Paladin levels after a couple of discussions with our cleric.
I'll go with the Dex and Initiative bonus, which will also make Tumble much easier (not to mention Move Silently, Ride, etc) -- which should be nice.
I have three feats (Plus Skill Focus (Diplomacy) from Marshal 1) because I only have 7 HD. That's how it works, right? BY HD and not by ECL?

Verden is just going to quietly follow the group along, I'm going to be fairly incommunicado for the next two weeks, I've got my end-of-year externals coming up. If his input is needed for anything important, when I'm not around, Admiral can take over, I'll try to stop in every couple of days, but I may not be able to. I do want to keep up with this campaign, its very fun, and I'll be back after the 21st of November, once I'm clear from the end of the exams.
I had assumed that you had walked out of earshot of the giant before you talked. If you were talking about whether you were going to kill him that would probably break the hold of the charm (and you haven't tied him up or anything like that). That does mean that he hasn't heard anything you've said recently.
As for somewhere you could drop him off: the fire giant would probably be better off in the middle of the desert than in a civilized area, since he doesn't have a guildmark or any allies (and is accustomed to living in the desert). If you want to pick a relatively livable spot a hundred miles off and drop him you can since you've been studying local maps for days. (Though I think Hope is right that 12 days is a lot of time, and he knows very little).
So, how do you feel about bag of holding teleportation? That is, Hope can only 'port with 50lbs of gear, so can she put a person or people in her bag, then teleport? Could I put the giant in my bag and transport him that way?
I ask because it would not cost any resources to do so, and would be a handy trick for the future.

PChubby: Haha I guess I meant congrats about surviving the deadlines. I'm just in the middle of an insane period myself, but luckily my boss (thesis adviser) is understanding.
Lexin: cool! I know, I often find myself in the same situation. Rahne has heard about a bartender here who might be able to help us.
