Yes. Sorry for the delay in posting- sometimes my schedule makes it very difficult to be consistent, and I usually try not to sacrifice quality for frequency. But this last delay is much longer than I'd like, yes. Everyone will get updated today.
Incidentally, while i normally never like to push character's actions, the sooner the party leaves the guildhalls, the sooner play will speed up
Yay for update. Ok, ok, will try to ask less questions... *grumbles*

OOC if there is a particular job that might work better for the overarching storyline, just let me know. As is, I assume anything that isn't "9-5" should be compatible with whatever you have planned but I'm not married to anything in particular.
Like most DnD games, I expect the party to make their money from adventuring rather than consistent jobs. This means taking freelance assignments, which can come from any of the four guilds (with the whole party working together on each). Any job that separates you from the rest of the party for more than a few occasional posts would lead to frustration.
Again, please don't think I'm pushing the characters towards particular decisions, which is something I am firmly against. Indeed, there are multiple large-scale plot threads that I've thought through for this setting (you've stumbled on one or two story hooks already), and the party can choose through their actions which campaign they'll pursue.
Speaking of which, before Faeliel answers Lexin, an unfortunate metagame clarification- does Lexin want to join as a full member? That would largely preclude adventuring- it's akin to the staff of this church.
(Faeliel could dissuade Lexin in character, of course, but since she has no reason to that would feel even more metagame!)
To stay true to my character's personality, I really need to check out the institute, and then make a decision. I understand this slows the game a bit, so I'll try and streamline my posts slightly so not to keep people waiting.

Thought there would be a similar job to the one my character had in background... meaning he is supposed to walk around and help people, it wouldn't interfere with adventuring. If nothing like that is available
"I will think about it, Bishop. For now I have some free time... first time in years, don't want to be bound to one place for a while. After the need for travel is fulfilled and I get to know this place better I would be happy to serve the Church in more... stationary manner."
Morgunn finishes the 'interview', and as they go to the main hall [I assume there would be someone coming with him] , he asks the priest they met at first if there are any suitable lodging options for newcomers and citizens of the Church like them.
That should speed things up a bit.
EDIT: I just thought we were supposed to apply for a job there, don't know why I thought that.

My apologies for that. Realistically, a group of 12th level adventurers would be offered full-time jobs almost immediately. It's not always easy to reconcile verisimilitude with narrative needs (I'm not a professional writer or anything close).
I think you are doing fine enough. Also I enjoy the fact that when you are online its almost always the same time as me so there is interaction and such.
Hey everyone, hope you had a nice weekend. It is really sunny here in Washington and everyone is grilling steaks lol
It is a tiny bit meta, but I don't think it would be inappropriate to discuss what exactly the group's plans will be after meeting an the inn. We have a bit of time until we've all finished with our guild buisiness so I thought I'd try to open up dialogue again :)
Hope would like to eventually make her way to the Capitol, but is in no hurry if anyone else has something they'd like to explore.

I was actually literally in the middle of writing the updates. Everyone but Verden will be in the tavern in just a moment (Verden will be along soon I'm sure )
About timing: Everything will go faster now that the gang is together- creating four simultaneous threads, with all their settings and conversations, is like DMing four campaigns at once.
Having said that- I will be traveling next week, from Saturday 5/19 to 5/27. While I may be able to post during that time (possibly even multiple times), it's also possible that I won't have any opportunities at all.
I just had a horrible thought...
The Guildmarks have strong abjuration on them, to prevent them being covered or changed by magic... What happens when I try to make myself invisible? Does the guildmark still show?

Oh hey now that we're in combbat, I realize I never saw your response to my 'wand idea.'
I've looked at archery as a Succubus, and found it lackluster. I'd like to change my two archery feats for improved sla feats (Ability Focus Charm Monster and Suggestion would be the two)
Then, to make up for my diminished combat prowess, I'd buy wands with the money I used previously for Bracers of Archery and my Bow.
Just let me know if those are okay changes to make :)

Fight... we are not yet a team, but one of my buffs is for allies, which includes you right now... so:
Righteous Wrath of the Faithful (Aura) extra attack (like with haste) and +3 morale bonus on melee attack and damage for everyone
Also we can move in groups both players and enemies, that works better in PbP
Edit: One more thing, how close are assassins to each other, and is there anyone close to them?
In other words can I use 15' burst and get only the bad guys in?

psiclone57: Your character can't use any wands since you don't have a spell list (since you don't have any class levels).
Incidentally, you might want to base your build strategy (arrows vs spells, for example) on what class levels you'll want to take from now on. Considering your incredibly high charisma, you might be thinking about a sorcerer or bard, but since their spellcasting would be 12 levels behind the spells would contribute only negligibly (you'd much rather use your at-will charm monster than any 1st level spell).
Have you considered becoming a paladin of freedom? At the second level, the Divine Grace ability would give you a +12 to all your saves, and Lay on Hands would let you heal anyone 12 x (paladin level) points per day. It would also fit quite nicely with your character's redemption arc.
Still, if you have another idea for the character, it is of course yours to play! (Like I said though, no wands yet).
Lord Hakura: The two at the table look dead.
Lexin: The killers are 10 feet apart. There are some people at the adjacent booths, but by aiming for the area in front of the assassins you can get both in a 15' radius blast without hitting anyone else.

Hope has +23 bonus to UMD, while DC for using wands is only 20... so she can use any wand without rolling... although the DC in these is ... ... weak...
So I suggest using the ones without DC, if any

Forgot all about UMD, thanks for the reminder! Hope, of course he is right.
Yes, the main things I'm considering for level ups are a Paladin or Battle Dancer for a level, then Divine Crusader, but again I'd have to look a little deeper to ensure those are the best choices.
It's difficult to find something that really plays to her strengths, oddly enough. People recommended Fiend of Possession, but that sounds decidedly Evil to me.

psiclone57, I think there are a lot of classes that could work really well for your character and race.
I suppose I'm starting to see the benefit of the bard, since you would get the inspire courage ability that no one in the party currently has. Besides, while level 1 spells are very weak compared to what will be a Level 13 party, you'll be chock full of them thanks to your Cha score. You could specialize in illusions (since you already have enchantments at will) and they'd have very high Will saves for disbelief. (But not getting beyond Silent Image until Level 16 is really weak).
Rogue is another decent one, since it would keep you flush with skill points even more than the bard would, and getting sneak attack and evasion can't hurt.
It's true that the succubus doesn't make a great warrior, with its massive HP and base attack disadvantage relative to most of the party. But after a few levels in paladin you could be a backup archer. (And your damage reduction, spell resistance, and various immunities and energy resistances obviously help a lot towards keeping you alive, as would a paladin's Divine Grace).
