Grouped initiative as before, when the group comes up anyone in the group can post, a limited amount of retconning is possible if it makes the battle flow better. So here's how the initiative order stacks up:
Enemy Group 1: (Minions and one other creature type)
Hero Group 1 (Mertes, Zimelda, Crabb, Arjhan, Goyle)
Enemy group 2 (3 creature types)
Hero Group 2 (Rat, Alessa)
You're not in combat until you detect an enemy or become aware that an enemy detected you (this has only happened to Mertes). If the detection is not simultaneous, the less perceptive/stealthy combatant(s) is(are) Surprised for the duration of a mini surprise round.
This happened to Mertes (his Perception check was not high enough to spot the hidden kobold minion). The kobold used its surprise action to throw a javelin and hit Mertes. Since the minion won initiative over Mertes, it now gets a regular round, which I'll post later.
You're waiting 15-20 seconds (aka 3 rounds) for Mertes to do his thing, and then Alessa is charging in, am I right?
The plan as stated was:
Mertes climbs the cliff to go in the hole, fights the nearby kobold, and checks whether the hole leads to the same place as the waterfall. If it doesn't, or if he can't determine it, he'll let everyone know so he can rejoin them. If it does, he'll stay in the tunnel and everyone charges in 15-20 seconds (3 rounds) later.
So right now only Mertes is in combat. Everyone else is waiting to hear from him, and if they don't, then they'll charge in. Zimelda wanted to go in after Alessa and Arjhan, that's no problem, you can delay down initiative if you want.
Also, Dekkah is AFK this weekend, so even his portion of combat won't start immediately.
If your initiative block comes up, we will pause the game. Take the time to get out from under the pile.
BTW, Mertes will need a minor action to ready his axe if he wants to use it to attack next round (it would need to be stowed while climbing, ripping the curtain, and climbing).
Remember, the way the wrenched arms works is, there's no penalty as long as you sustained on the previous or current turn, or used an AP on this turn. You only get the -2 penalty if you didn't sustain last turn AND didn't use an AP yet this turn AND didn't sustain yet this turn.
YHeah, but I realised that if I want to be able to move and sustain next turn... so if I dont draw my weapon now, well I'll have to waste a move or standard to sustain.
So your turn is going to be minor: endurance check, move: 6 squares, and then depending on what you see you'll take another action? Or are you going to roll another active perception?
The rest of the party is waiting for Mertes. If he comes back out, you'll all go in through the waterfall. If he doesn't come back out within three rounds, they'll assume he's found a way to get to the cavern behind the waterfall and they'll charge in. Last I heard, Alessa was going to lead the charge at the end of round 3, with Arjhan following soon after.
You and the two minion kobolds are the only ones in initiative right now.
C'mon don't let this grind to a halt! It's been 29 hours!
Edit: Now I see what you were doing, that was an exciting section in the Grandpre game. I can wait since combat hasn't started in earnest.
Mertes endurance - (1d20+7)[11]
So Mertes's minor action is to pass the endurance check, negating the penalty.
Mertes still has a move and a standard action. Since he knows where one of the kobolds is, he can begin a charge against that kobold once he's close enough. If at some point during the charge it becomes evident that it can't be completed, though, the action will be lost.
I see a couple options for you:
1. Move then charge
2. try another active perception to look for traps or other hidden kobolds
3. head back out and report your findings to the rest of the party
4. Use an item
Sorry snowbody.
I was busy at work yesterday, I barely had time to reply decently to my own game.
The worst is that i did write some reply for your game, but it appear it did not come up (probably got a message 500 from the forum and it did not register (and i didnt notice it was for your game).
I tend to reply apply and go check other stuff...
Today I was called to court as a witness (took the whole day), that is why I didnt not reply (and I only replied after it - quickly becasue I had to leave to see some show as I came back home)
Also I did not think I could move and Charge. that is what i would had done then... becasue you said they turned a corner 50 feet away... I can only move 30 feet... so I assumed i coudl not see the enemies behind the corner which would still be 20 feet ahead of me.
If move and charge is an option (and I dont see a lot of kobold waiting for me), that is probably what I would do (I dont mind if you keep my action as is too)
I am sure not gonna charge that many enemmies and down a cliff that high. As soon as I spot them I'd stay as hidden as possible (not gonna walk in the open - Mertes is agressive but doesnt want to die ), maybe even take a few step back to hide for those who did not see me (not to get gunned down too much and i'll wait for my alies to get in).
I am not sure if I'll get shot by rain of javelin or not, but I might take my standard to second wind if I get hit a lot ...
Given that we weren't doing anything for those rounds when Mertes was inside, we could have been on delay, right? Makes more sense, since those turns would go to waste anyway, to at least use them to move up in the initiative order.

Y'know, you're right. And that makes the initiative order simpler too. However as you're going in blind the baddies will get a surprise round on whoever's first in.
I'll finish Mertes's turn, and then put Alessa in the cave.
Umm to move where you put me on the map I needed only 2 square of movement right? I'd like to move back with the rest of my movement (out fo sight of most enemies) an and use my second wind.
I am assuming that all these attacks comes from a readied action from the kobold that interrupted my movement right?
Oops. Yes, Mertes has the rest of his move action and a standard action. I jumped the gun giving Alessa her turn. You can do that, then Alessa's turn starts and the kobolds all miss her. Now it's Arjhan & Zimelda's turns.
What do they greyed out tokens mean? Also, can that quickblade still AoO me if I move past him? I know he still has an opportunity action left, but I am not sure if he can chain multiple triggered actions to my single move action.
