Ah - correct. Thanks Shadow_elf! Goblin Tactics is an immediate reaction, so it goes off after the attack completes. At that point Irontooth is dazed and can't take immediate actions. Mertes's push happens as originally written.

Arjhan is conscious (no longer dying) at 10HP, but Prone. Zimelda still has a move action if she wants it.

Normally it'd be a standard action strength check to pull him off the ground, but I'm feeling generous. And devious.

Let's see...roll a strength check (Zimelda is +4) and if you beat a DC 12, Arjhan can stand as a minor. Fail by more than 2, and it takes a standard, or move+minor, for him to stand up.

Alright, that turn could have included a few higher rolls for us. But if Mertes can handle Irontooth and the Wyrmpriest alone for a round or three longer, we should, with some luck, be able to mop up the dragonshields.

Whoops, I forgot about one hit, but it was a doozy. Zimelda is at -1HP and unconscious, pending Arjhan's choice of whether to use his daily, Martyr's Blessing, as an interrupt and take the hit. (It would resul in him going unconscious again, so I don't think that's worthwhile)

But, if he lets Zimelda fall, he'll be filled with a surge of righteous anger, and his daily, Paladin's Judgment, will recharge.

Alessa can essentially convert that Racial Potion into a healing potion with Elemental Resilience, so she should be fine. Give it to Zimelda, I think, since she's only at 10 HP, while Mertes and Alessa have 19 and 17 respectively.

Plus, it's only fair for Arjhan to return the favour for all that healing Zimelda's given him.

EDIT: Updated the map for the results of all our turns.

Dragonshield used its immediate reaction, Dragonshield Tactics, shifted south to (k,6), Mertes continued his charge to (j,5) and missed.

Slime hit DS1, but there are no legal squares to pull to. DS1 remained at (k,6).

Arjhan shifted to (l,4) and hit DS2 for 13 damage, bloodying it, and letting Zimelda spend another healing surge.

Need actions for Zimelda, who is at 14/29 HP, bloodied, and prone.

So Zimelda spent 2 surges - one from the potion and one from Arjhan powers? Yikes, running low on surges...

Spending surges is always optional. If you don't want to spend them, you can continue lying there unconscious (but I won't give the potion back to Alessa nor the daily back to Arjhan).

Correction: The Dragonshield can be pulled to (l,5) and no further. Shadow_elf, do you want that? It would result in Arjhan being flanked.

No, I don't want them to flank Arjhan for free, though they will probably just use their shiftiness to flank if they want to.

Also, Zimelda is at 17 HP. 10 from potion, 7 from unmodified surge.

Arjhan is down again, but the kobold stabilized him (have to keep as much blood as possible for the sacrifice you know!)

Is it time to sound the retreat? Or call for reinforcements?

How many surges does Arjhan have? It may be time to call for a tactical retreat. We can either recover our Encounter Powers, then do a bum rush (sending the minion ahead to clear traps) and blitz them with Encounter and Daily Powers, or we fall back entirely and attack again later/tomorrow.
