He tried to join several times during the Moff Interregnum and was turned away due to lack of hawtness, but I'm 100% sure that doesn't count as applying for membership.
@ Marciano - He's never tried to become an actual member, only keeps hiring them to do things. If he wants to become a member, he'll have to fill out a form and talk to Ilpholin. But due to their repeated contracts, I don't see it being very likely, preferring to keep it employer-client based.

While we're talking about AMEN, I would like to bring up the topic of Mechano-Panthers.
Mechano-Panthers patrol the halls of AMEN(And some important rooms, like the Main Room) and are basically godmoddable by anyone with a character in AMEN. However, I'd rather you not have them do anything past their programming, which is:
1) Subdue intruder with instant drying cement foam
2) If 1 is not possible, kill intruder with razor sharp metal claws and spiked tail
3) Bring body to torture room or to BioLab(if dead)
The cement foam dissolves from a solvent that the panthers also have.
Also, the panthers will listen to any AMEN member and will go after any people that come in that are not being accompanied by a current AMEN member. They're made of titanium as well, and are as strong and as fast as a normal panther. They will ignore orders from AMEN members if given a conflicting order from Ilpholin, and unknown to Ilpholin they will ignore an order from Ilpholin if given a conflicting one from Megan.
Er... You might want to change the programming about going after anyone not currently with an AMEN member. If you get attacked by a mechanical panther on entering the base to join, it's going to sour you on the whole place, y'know?

Hey Serph? I made a mistake. I had meant to give Sahaar's character in Watch someone to interact with, since he hadn't been responded to yet, but I somehow looked at the wrong post when I went to remind myself of what his name was. >.<
Unfortunately, what I had in mind doesn't work when Sakura has a group of people to try and admit and she's not qualified to do so. With just one person Sakura could have managed until she needed to redirect said person elsewhere, but not so much with a group.
So would you mind if Sakura wasn't interacting with Grantz and Cornelia at the moment and I can edit my post as I'd intended? I'm really sorry, didn't mean to make you type up a post for nothing. I'm sure someone with a proper character to help them out will post for them soon enough.

Not necessarily true. If they came to join, generally they knock at the front door. Where upon either a member greats them or the base AI does. I'm sure it'd be fairly easy to set it up so that the panthers can get a bit of info from HALlelujah. So either they're with a member anyways or they get informed.
Those that just barge in anyways are exactly the kind you'd want to sic the panthers on.

So, I started off writing this as a mini-plot inspired by Community for Inside, but then I figured that this could be a little more than is allowed within city-limits (seeing as there is the whole "entire areas should not be affected" rule). I thought I would post it here first to get opinions on it first.
[Red Zone- Paintball Warzone]

Inside one of the innermost communities in the Red Zone a warzone has formed. This warzone is not a conventional one by any means; the entire neighborhood has collapsed into a semi-extradimensional state of anarchy and chaos. It's every man for himself in this area, where the only rule of warfare is that only paintball-based weaponry can be used.
Exactly who started this massive struggle is unknown, but the purpose of it is clear; the last creature standing will win a Borg adaptive shield matrix, one that will be permanently implanted within it. Dozens of the multiverse's deadliest warriors are duking it out in the makeshift arena. Due to the fact that this area is slightly out of phase with the rest of the Nexus, a few specific rules do apply here that do not affect anywhere else;
Once one enters the battle arena, one cannot leave until he/she is hit by a paintball. Anyone can enter just by walking into the neighborhood (which is basically a twenty block by twenty block area with an ever-changing configuration of city structures).
Upon coming into contact with wet paint in this area, no matter how insignificant the amount is, the character who got hit is permanently banned from the arena and "shifted" back to the mainstream Nexus. Usually the shift is instantaneous, but there is a delay for those who wish to say any overly dramatic "last words."
If one decides to delay their shifting so that they may say their last words, they briefly exist in an "in between" state between the Paintball Warzone and the Red Zone. This allows them to say what they need to say while at the same way rendering them unable to influence the environment around them.
All forms of non-paintball weapons still work in the Nexus, but using them in any manner will result in an immediate banning and shift back to the mainstream Nexus (no time for last words given). Magic, Psionics, and overtly harmful forms of telekinesis count as weapons for the purpose of this rule.
NPC Factions within the Paintball Warzone
The Blade Dancers: Hailing from a bleak alternate reality 22nd Century Earth, these Blade Dancers split off from the main organization and arrived in the Nexus through unknown means. Survivors of the harsh, post-nuclear apocalypse desert wastes, these humans are merciless and vicious in their attacks against other paintball contestants. The Blade Dancers are led by a telepathic mutant going by the name of Odin.
Nesh'glar Elves: The origins of these Elves are unknown, but it is believed that they are the last of their race. For the most part, the Nesh'glar elves are extremely similar to other's of their species, though they always have chalky white skin and golden yellow eyes. These elves follow a rigorous magical belief dealing with mana, and believe that they must consume the corpses of defeated enemies in order to absorb their mana. While they are unable to eat any of the combatants that they defeat within the paintball warzone, the Nesh'glar may follow defeated opponents into the mainstream Nexus in order to finish the job and get the mana that they felt they were cheated.
Orion Pirates: Roughly thirty Orion Brutes and Nausicaan raiders have been gathered by a trio of Orion vixens in order to try to secure the Borg technology for themselves. Assuming they could reverse engineer the Borg adaptive shielding matrix, the Orion syndicate could easily trade the technology for millions of bars of valuable gold-pressed latinum.
Uruks of Isengard: Oddly enough, a detachment of Uruk-hai have found their way into the Nexus, and have sold themselves to the highest bidder as mercenaries. Exactly who they work for is unknown, but it is suspected that he/she is a member of the Blue Zone's elite. The Uruk-hai have proven themselves to be extremely capable supersoldiers, not needing sleep or nourishment to complete the tasks that they are assigned. They seem to relish in wiping out as many opponents as they can with their strangely designed paintball-launching crossbows.

I'm not the go to rules guy for Nexus, but if this gets off the ground I want in, because a) I want to bring back Emmi and introduce my Graffiti
Guild and b) this idea is too awesome not to do something with!

As long as it's only one neighborhood, not the whole Red Zone, it should be fine (though Wolfbane would be the one to give final confirmation on that, of course). And I'll also drop someone or other in there if it gets green-lit.
I am curious, though - the way you have it written, someone who steps in a puddle of spilled paint, or gets hit by a stray droplet splashing off something, would be out. Was that intentional? Also, how does armor factor into this? It seems a little odd that someone who comes into the arena wearing power armor is just as vulnerable as somebody who goes in naked. And do purely defensive uses of magic or psionics still count as banned weapons?
(By the way, are you up for continuing that one plot you were running in Outside for Apprentice-Pilot?)

Well usually people don't just walk right in to AMEN, a member usually answers the door. Which if the person is with an member they won't be attacked. And like Rein said, the ones that just barge in are the ones you want to sic the panthers on Anyways, handwave for them to get basic info from the base's AI to make them more...hospitable? *And Bushranger, I have no idea what you're talking about with Becky...the last scene I can remember with her included Clarissa and Dave, and Dave was pulled into bed with Clarissa and then fell asleep...* **Pokes OrchestraHc to GLoG, the tiny dinosaurs man!**
