Also, I'm questioning your foreshadowing technique. Going over the thread, I'm not finding much that implies a method to save everyone. Save Everyone besides Pernumba, perhaps, but besides the wards there doesn't seem to be much of a chance for us to do anything.
Also, how long is it to nightfall, or has it already happened? This is very important.

Wait. It's night. In a Shadow Land. Running isn't an option then: we can't survive in the under world.
As for flying, so far it hasn't seemed to do much good...

Yeah, but Penumbra can just fly out of range of their longest-range attacks. Firelances are like firewands, but they stab people. So, short-range.
Edit - Also, according to p.313 of the core rulebook, you can reflexively pay a mote when leaving a shadowland at night to enter Creation instead of the Underworld.

Mirror didn't have a bow, and he seemed to keep up with her adequately enough.
Also, there are a couple big problems with relying on the wards, namely the fact that any countermagic at all breaks them, plus it's not certain how long they last.
The fact that we'll be in the Underworld for about 8 hours is also a bit of a problem. Plenty of time for some nasty stuff to happen to us.
Edit: Huh. Didn't know that rule. The shadowland only covers the house, yes?

Oh. Then we plunged a good part of Nexus into the underworld.
Does this count as disrupting the trade?

Fortunately, virtues add directly onto DVs when you channel them on defense, not into the pool.
On an unrelated note: Tomorrow, I will not have internet from 11:30 Eastern time to either late that night or Monday morning. I apologize for the delay, but if someone whacks me absurdly hard, I will want to stunt and/or channel for my defense.

Hmm. So we've done serious damage to one dude, at the cost of our combatant. ..
Yeah, Next action, Child's getting out of there.

I would like to point out that I am not out of the fight. All the Charms I was using to attack with for the fight with Mirror are now active, for free, for my next three actions. I can't oneshot any more Abyssals, but I can still fight perfectly well.
Edit - He's still standing? After ten levels? This guy's awesome. I no longer want to kill him.

And now, I imagine if he doesn't return the compliment we're going to see his pals do so.
Hmm. How were they intending to get into Nexus? They came through the shadow land extremely quickly: it'd been up for what, 5 min tops?

You can't use Excellencies, though, and being mote tapped means they don't have to be conservative.

Yes, but I'm still DV 8, Soak 17, with three Valor channels and four Compassion channels left, and it'll take 11 levels to incapacitate me.
I know they don't have to be conservative, but Fat is almost certainly at -4, and Thin...
Thin's going to try and pulverize me, but I think I can take it if I channel Valor against his flurry. That's DV 14 with a one-die stunt. If I can survive one round against Thin, Fat's down.
Of course, I'm trusting to the two of you to take out White-And-Red. I'm willing to bet that I can survive going toe-to-toe with one and a half Abyssals working together for my next three actions, given that that's practically an automatic excuse to channel Valor. I don't think I can manage three.

Depends on how Combat focused they are. They could channel virtues as well, and they could also unleash Flurry charms. The mirror to Iron Whirlwind would be devestating for you, as could some others.
And if he has wound negating charms, then he might not be as sunk as you might think. Isn't DM a grapple based martial Art? If so, watch out.

As for Fat, if he grapples me and manages to hit, I'm screwed. OTOH, he can't be a DM specialist because DM doesn't allow any armor.
Even if Thin uses Iron Whirlwind to make six attacks, he doesn't have any scene-long buffs going. With a Reaver Daiklaive and Strength 5, he's got 15L damage, so he needs a margin of 5 successes to do more than ping damage. That would require 14 successes on his final attack, which would require an average of 28 dice.
Hmm. I started this math to prove you wrong, and ended it proving you right. Still, let's not start running away until he's taken his attack - it may not be that bad.

That's ignoring stuff like Damage enhancers, is it not?
Also, not entirely sure if they can't have scenelenghts up: it's possible, in my mind, to start a combat in the middle of a scene, or to join combat like that.
In any case, since my next action isn't till after their combined action, I'd say I'm not likely to be running before that.

That's assuming they don't have combos. Only reflexive charms are free; most damage enhancer charms are supplemental.
Hmm. It is possible to buff before combat and it would explain what they were doing while Mirror was tanking, but there aren't that many scene-length melee buffs Thin could use.
It looks as though it all really depends on what form Fat uses.
And you can move on anyone's turn.
