No clue who black dog is; assuming he's even giving us his real name. Can't seem to find anyone who matches his description, and the only Black Dog I can find is Treasure Island; and that guys I crippled pirate.
Rolling defenses here while I'm at it given that I'm everyone's only hope of dodging this thing.
Durami, Jacior; I'm sorry, but your only hope now is to roll a dodge and prey you get a natural 12. Otherwise you're about to get hit.
Though, if Bakiri can think of away to guard himself with his Thunder spell, you would have better odds. Granted, you'd be able to save yourself on an 11, but it's still better than needing a natural 12.
Actually, you can't defend others against an attack like his really... Well, you can push them out they way now that I think about it but that wouldn't make any sense to add your Sheila bonus to that. Best you could do is take the hit instead.
Also, all future characters like Black Dog are original characters. Don't waste your time trying to google them.
All damage is before armor. While all of you have the same armor now, that will likely not always be true.
Jacior, you didn't take the appropriate penalty and were actually hit. Also, your ranged defense is the same as your ranged attack with Thunder (+6). Furthermore, you cannot use a ranged attack to defend against another ranged attack as far as I know.
On pg156 it says that we're allowed to utilize any attribute to defend ourselves in place of our standard defenses, though using a non-weapon attribute to do so requires a readied action, and the roll to do so is the same as to use the attribute. That said, he did forget to apply the penalty from the attack.
That said, given that we still don't know how physically tough we've become since before going to sleep; is it treated as a life or death situation? If so then couldn't he burn EP to make up the point difference?
