If Felix is leaving, Roqoan will probably try to keep the two bandits we just captured here, and let the other two we sent to Father Wisely come back to help out.
We only need a place to put them, since i doubt Oleg will take them all in. But i'm sure we can find something.
Morbis:
I've actually never seen a monk in action, so it's going to be interesting to see what yours can do.
Edit: Oh, and Roqoan is from Grayhaven, a city with a large dwarven population. If you want to you can tie your new character's background to Roqoans. Might be easier if you new character has already a link with our group.
You could be Fermor's long lost twin brother, who's a childhood friend of Roqoan, who used to own Alistair as a dog and had Maple as a doll. And who once bought a potion from Julian and it disfigured his face
The he is a she, and as for tying her backstory in with others I doubt she would know anyone, she is an intorvert and very conciencious of her appearance. She will actually be wearing a mask since she doesn't like people staring at her scars. She can comiserate with Maple since she was also raised in a monestary though taught different values.

I can do brother or relative. If you see my fluff, I have a big family. Estimated 14 siblings. It's possible that you were related to me directly and I couldn't even remember your name.
In fact, it'd be cool if we'd known of each other.

Since I don't feel like typing all of her fluff via phone I will do it here and add it in the sheet later:
Appearance
Spoiler
Brin is the average height of a female dwarf but much more stalkier than a typical woman. Scars cover most her her body leaving her horribly disfigured, her legs are the only places unmarred. Random patches of hair grow atop her head but she keeps it clean shaven and hides her face with a mask and a hood; however one of her eyes has gone white from the tragedy but she is still able to see out of it. She wears gloves over her hands and full body robes, losse fitting and comfortable. She is quite agile and strong but her voice is rather gruff for a woman which causes her to speak little in large groups, prefering to hide.
Personality
Spoiler
Brin is a peaceful and contemplative person. Heavily disciplined and trained but not educated formally. She is very tranquil and calm even in the most dire situations but able to inflict violence upon anyone she deems deserves it. Her bow is her life, she maintains it with tedious steadfastness that borders obsession. She has a love of nature and flora and enjoys gardening as a form of meditation. She is polite to others but for the most part keeps to herself, willing to offer advice when asked but does not go out of her way to preach to others.
Background
Spoiler
Brinhelda was born in Grayhaven to a smith and a seamstress. Her life was happy, preferring to help her father in the forge over her mother in the store. When she was 20, Brin was forced into helping her mother with talioring by being a model for a blouse and a bonnent. In the forge, wear from working on an order Brin's father, Brom, fell asleep while pouring hot iron into a mold. The hot metal fell on the poor man, roasting him alive and also set the fuel for the forge on fire. Their home was soon aflame and the two remaining inside were soon surrounded. A beam fell down on top of Brin's mother and due to the excess fabic on the blouse, the young dwarf was also pinned. When the flames spread to Brin the fabric soon burned and she was able to pull free. She screamed and bolted for the door. As she burst through the door her entire upper body was covered in flames. Brin fell to the ground and began rolling around in hopes of exstiguishing her body. With the help of some people passing by, the fires covering Brin were put out leaving a burned little girl.
Brin thankfully passed out from the pain but awoke in agony and delierium. She was taken to a monastary in hopes that the monks could save the child but for a couple of weeks they were unsure of Brin's fate. Though she survived the initial damage, it was infection during her vulnerable state that was the most deadly. In the end Brin managed to pull through, her skin toughened into a distorted mess. Taking pity on the poor child the monks offered a place for her, which she accepted having no close relatives. So she studied martial arts with the others but was often bullied due to her appearance. She was never as fast or as strong as the others but what she lacked in physical prowess she had in discipline and sheer mental fortitude. The elders noted this quality and began teaching Brin the way of the bow. At first she was clumsy and this caused more ridicule because a dwarven archer was in itself an oddity. Though she never gave up and her master encounraged her in her lessons. He recommended in taking about a hobby that would help calm her mind and align her chi thus making her more able to enter a zen state required for their form of archery. So at her master's suggestion Brin took up gardening and started cultivating and manecuring small gardens around the monestary.
Time flew by and eventually her master told Brin that her training had come to an end and she was encouraged to leave the monastary so she could see the world. Brin was frightened by the prospect, the monastary was her home and she was afraid of people. The elders discussed among themselves and came up with the suggestion of going into the stolen lands. It was sparsley populated but offered a chance for their young disciple to use her skills and see the world. Her archery master crafted a mask for Brin as a going away present, she would have cried but she lacked the means to do so. With a heavy heart Brin left the monastary with a charter into the unknown.
Alright fluff done, let me know what you think and let's get this character going!

Ugh... not to sound like a **** but... wtf SamBurke lol? First of all this isn't your prisoner, secondly you are not acquainted with anyone in the group and you are already dictating the actions of the party without consulting them, a party you aren't fully integrated in yet... if you have been reading the other posts the others were going to execute this one and your character is swallowing whatever she has been spewing (no sense motives)... not a good way to intro your character I am afraid since you have kind of highjacked a prinsoner that wasn't even yours. There is nothing wrong with trying to save Kressel but doing it with a brand new character that didn't even help capturing her and without consulting the people who did the work... it's not really cool in my opinion. I may make one last post with Felix but I don't want to because he WOULD attack the bandit then the Dwarf...

Well, cutting her ropes may have been too much, but I don't have any problem with the general thrust of things. Obviously it will all require some in character debate.

Cutting the ropes doesn't mean anything. With my arm on her, I can kill her instantly (Grapple>Helpless>Coup'de'gras) the moment she has an issue.
Agreed that the cutting was a bit much...
DM, can we ret-con to leave the hand-ropes on? (I"m assuming she's tied hand and foot).

Also, agreeing. Still, philosophically, I can't hold the position of someone just being "evil." Either they can change (Fermor's position in the game) or they can't. If they can't, that means they always were that way (otherwise, they'd have changed). Thus, some babies are just made evil (by the gods? By luck? Who knows!). I can't buy that.
So, an evil person can become good, or vice-versa.
Simple enough. But it does lead to the dialogue that I gave.
As to my actions, I agree that releasing her hands is a bit much.

The whole good vs evil debate is a grey area, but realistically this character has little knowledge about the person brought in and their deeds, the best judges in this case are Oleg and Svetlana and Oleg was ready to kill her himself. The dwarf can say whatever he wishes about redemption but he is being way too trusting of someone who kills for fun and has threatened worse on the poor lady... With that said I am fine with how stuff is going on but cutting the ropes was going too far for someone who had nothing to do with the affair. On a happier note, can we get rid of Felix and bring on the monk, I am getting tired of his paranoid rants and general moodiness, I want my shy dwarf gardener!

Sure, once the Kressel scene is resolved one way or another, we can fastforward to the next morning, and the arrival of your archerlady.

I figured it wouldn't; usually doesn't. Still, Oleg and the Trappers are part of the audience.
I am on freakishly dangerous ground. Yay for worst character introduction EVER.
It is kinda train-wreckish to watch. But still, the situation's not unsalvageable. And no one seems to be getting majorly annoyed OOC, so life goes on.
Just don't get huffy if your character doesn't get his way IC. Can't win 'em all!

Lol I wouldn't say worst character intro ever, just most colorful and eventful; however, I really doubt that cleric will get his way: 3/6 want her dead, 1/6 is neutral and wants info, 1/6 wants her alive for the greater good (Dwarf vote counts less in IC due to being new but equal OoC), and I will assume our Sorcerer King would like her alive so she could serve him The trappers don't really matter in this case, Oleg does, it is his trading post and he is not wavering... Good try though you put forward a good case!

Looks like you're wrong about the Sorcerer King. (It's Emperor actually )
I agree that Kressel can't be trusted, especially seeing how arrogant she's been once she was untied.
But Roqoan is taking advantage of this situation, he will try to get the other bandits we've sent to Father Wisely back here to work for him.
And by trying to execute Kressel himself, he's trying to get some goodwill with Oleg. So all in all, Roqoan isn't unhappy with how things went.
Lawfull neutral isn't altruistic neutral
Morbis Meh: Just so you know, i actually had a lot of fun in the discussions between Roqoan and Felix. It was a welcome change from the typical situation where the CN rogue and the LG paladin clash over loot.
Now we have a CG rogue that wants freedom for everbody and a LN sorcerer that wants power. You nicely subverted the typical rogue that just wants money.

Why thank you dear sir, I also enjoyed the banter between the two; however, it was just getting rather annoying mechanically and I originally made this guy for a city campaign lol. I normally don't play rogues thoug, not my style, and I thought a freedom fighter would be great for the city game he was in. Now we are currently in the middle of nowhere and he just doesn't feel right to me. I shall keep the fun up with very intriguing and odd banter with the burned dwarf monk, she may even develop a quite crush for the suave sorcerer

Alright, the xp tracker has been updated. And ALL y'all should notice that it's about that time!
LEVEL UP!!!!
Sithis, I advanced your xp a bit. I want to keep you roughly a level behind the party to start, but I don't want you TOO far off, so I think this is fair. From here on out you'll be eating a flat 3K disadvantage, so that level adjustment shouldn't sting quite so badly.
And with the adjustments I've made to the adventure, you guys might just need every advantage you can get...
Take your time, RP as you will, and in the (actual) morning I'll advance the time frame to the in-game morning...

Also LD am I just introducing my new character or are you going to do that for me? I will wait to post, you can even describe Felix's mysterious disappearance if you so inclined.

There we go! Sorry for the delay. Felix, introduce away. Hope you don't mind the setup...
Oh, and Steckie, I believe you made a list of items to sell? Oleg and Svetlana will give you half price on the items, save for the 14 hand weapons. Those are battered and kinda crappy, so the best they can do is 25 GP for the lot of 'em.
They'll pay in trading post credit, if that's all right. It'll take a few months for them to get their raw GP liquidity back. (The bandits were seriously bleeding them dry.)
