Would someone please explain how my connection is timing out when I'm hosting the server I want to connect to on my own PC? Even when I hadn't port forwarded, I was able to connect to localhost, now it says conenction timed out: connect.

Whaddaheck?


EDIT: Apparently, my connection times out no matter which server I try to connect to. I've tried five now, only two were localhost.

I can't get on the server. Either i get "Internal Client error java connect ecksepton timed out: connect" or "Took too long to log in" Ihave the Macro Keybind Mod and Zombe's modpack. Any idea what's wrong?

Do you think Notch needs to make a update for horse riding or try to be Orc Cavalry (Boar (Pig in minecraft) Riding since I learned from Rich's Spring Minis).

If I had to guess...


Sap probably think's fixing the code is more important.


Especially if it makes it easier to update WorldGroups.



Personally, I'd say that implementing the rest of the potion effects would be a good thing to work on. Use cocoa and sugar in the potion of haste...

Yeah, there need to be more status-effect potions, like hunger, blindness, invisibility, maybe even baleful polymorph. Baleful polymorph would be hilarious.

There are actually several mods for horse riding, so there's some chance that some sort of horse may be introduced someday, though more potion types seems like a more likely thing to be added, as some of the programming for the other types already exists.
Also I doubt jeb would make anything technic style vanila, but technic itself is easy to install at least(and doesn't overwrite any mods you already have for your vanilla minecraft).
I could imagine some of the yogbox or peaceful pack things possibly being added, or at least things similar, as both mod compilations are closer to the style of vanilla.

edit; anyone know how to add this "texture pack patch" thingy to the texture pack(link to base texture pack) it's meant to be used with?

It uses Tekkit 3 and the launcher updates it automatically, yes. Not that it matters, because if you take a look in options on the launcher, you can manually select the build you want to use. (Though just leaving it on always use recommended builds generally works. )

Aye, same, it was really fun getting to start tekkit like we did(it's a bit confusing to try to start up on some of the other tekkit servers, either because the ban large parts of tekkit, or because theres so much built already it takes a long time to reach an area I can gather even basic resources from.)

I want to shoot my bow while riding a pig, to balance it out with the Spider Jockeys. Or maybe ride a tamed wolf... Even better: Ride EVERYTHING! Just put a saddle on a zombie and hop on. Put your saddle on a squid, get one of those water-breathing potions, submarine!

I'm making a redstone circuit, and the T flip-flip is not working. Every design part checks out, and yet it doesn't toggle when it receives an on then off signal, it just immediately switches on when it gets an on signal, then off when it gets an off. And I built one exactly like it earlier, and it works. Wtf is going on? If someone could come troubleshoot my circuit or tell me what's going on, I'd be appreciative.

Did you turn it 90 degrees? Because I made a redstone gate with sticky pistons once and it worked when aligned N-S, bot not when E-W. (or maybe the other way around.) I still don't know what causes it.
