AFAIK, height is still pretty tied to genetics, but difference in nutrition can make major changes. I live in the Netherlands, where people in general are the tallest in the world, and we eat and drink a lot of dairy products, so presumably its at least partially tied to that. Asian people are nearly all lactose-intolerant, so they wouldn't generally eat or drink those, and most of them are pretty short.

Steve's girlfriend, the one who has unusual things happen to her a lot to the point they had to call in Dora's old witch mentor to make sure she wasn't cursed.
