[Forest 2.0]

Kieth moves about the forest, his steps leaving nothing but ash of what was most likely grass, looking to kill or be killed. Nothing was more fun to this lesser demon than to engage in the meaningless carnage of battle.

After walking for a while he spots a creature with a bow and then he smiles with delight.

RRRRRWWWWWOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Kieth belowed and rushed in attempt to ram and grab the female and crush her in his four muscular arms.

Gordon moves his knives into his ready position, planning on either parrying with them, or having the body armor he wears protect him from any blows.
"I guess I'll have to make ssure not to kill you then. I don't kill in cold blood." The creature hisses, drawing his sword. In his other hand, a ball of black fire flares into existence, the fire rapidly spreading to cover his entire body, as well as the sword.

And as the fire spreads, more and more light is sucked in, spreading darkness around them.

"Going to face me ass you are, then? Don't want to usse your great big dragon powerss againsst me?" He asks, making that strange hissing laugh again.

"Now, where would the fun in that?"

Gordon quickly lashes foward, turning on the trick of his knives. The trick to those knives being that they have small generators inside of them, so they pack a electric punch as well as a cutting edge. Not a bad trick, especially when going up against a sword.

However, the black flames might make this attempted attack go very wrong, but oh well. He's made his choice.

Well I'd find it a lot more enjoyable..." As Gordon attacks, the creature takes a step back, raising his sword to parry the blows.

Sadly the knives don't really do much just by hitting the sword since the handle for this sword isn't particularly conductive. Nevertheless, the creature's hand is a little too close and he's given quite a surprise and nearly drops the sword.

"Sss...that'ss not very nice, iss it?" With a hiss he quickly backs away, throwing a ball of black fire at Gordon's head.

The poor deer never stood a chance.

Matched for speed quite easily by the twelve foot tall carnivorous dinosaur chasing after it, the animal can only flee and prolong the inevitable. Because as soon as a clear shot is available!

"bNOM!"

That absurdly long, sticky tongue lashes around the creature's neck and hauls it backwards into the waiting mouth of the yoshi. With almost unnatural speed the dinosaur distends his jaw and simply swallows the deer whole.

And then POP!s out an egg!

Yellow has been snacking on wildlife as he treks toward the interior of the hunting grounds, though he hasn't encountered anything else that he would consider a worthy foe just yet.

And with victory comes reward. As the slivers fall before Mateo, their bodies fade away into dust, which is then blown off into the distance. The vampire will feel a warm light coming over him - not caustic and deadly sunlight, but something softer. Less threatening. As the light envelopes him, Mateo will feel a rather curious but painless sensation as his fangs begin to grow and become sharper. Within seconds his fangs are long enough that the poke out past his lips, and sharp enough that they could feasibly puncture all but the thickest of scales and chitin. When the light fades, it takes with it the worst of Mateo's injuries. He won't be completely healed and he's still infected with the sliver's diseases, but he's no longer bleeding openly and isn't in danger of toppling over any time soon.

Mercutio stops when Thenadier's eyes fall on him. The blue-skinned devil is half-way down a hill, hands loose at his side. His tail loosely coils around his legs as he stops, the flat black spade resting on the rim of his boot. He matches Thenadier's gaze coolly but cautiously. Thenadier can't see any weapons on him, but his heavy red coat could easily be covering some up, and he has a spell-book on his hip and who knows what could be in there.

Meanwhile, the hail grows thicker still. What was once drops no larger than a small pebble has now become fist-sized clumps. Mercutio's yellow goat-eyes follow the hail upwards to the clouds above Thenadier. The four heavy black clouds grow ever closer but at this point don't seem to be gaining any size. They're much closer than anticipated, and as they fall lower they converge into one large cloud. The hail stops for a brief moment, before a massive chunk of ice the size of a small boulder drops out of the clouds, falling straight down at Thenadier. As Mercutio sees it, his cunning devil mind sees an opportunity and takes it.

"Look out!" the devil cries. He vanishes in a cloud of blue smoke, filling the hills with the scent of brimstone and sulphur, only to re-appear at Thenadier's side. Unless he moves out of the way or has some sort of anti-magic abilities, Mercutio will grab Thenadier by the shoulder and teleport them both twenty metres away.

Gordon quickly drops to the ground, letting the ball of black fire go over his head.

"Well, then if you insist."

Gordon turns into his dragon self, giving him a much greater reach. And with that greater reach, Gordon tries to use his claws to knock the sword out of the creature's hands.

Hills Overlooking the Desert

Thenadier growls at the fist sized hail. Not at all liking the feel of the cold, hard ice smashing against his armor. Thenadier growls and still holds up the rifle, going to fire the amazing weapon across the desert at the might dragon. The rifle would reach too. He pays no attention to the massive hail-boulder falling from the sky. Then, he's successfully grabbed! His rifle goes off, sending a bullet off into the desert to embed itself in a cactus. He has no current antimagic gizmos activated, and is whisked away by the teleport. Of course, he quickly recognizes the stench of brimstone. Thenadier hated demons or devils. It was because of a potent demon he was stuck in that gem, his body obliterated by Tobias. He looked over with his almost sparkling grey eyes and glares before brandishing an ebony blade that appears n his hands. The blade glowed a fierce red and is jagged, built to rend flesh and puncture insides. Thenadier's rather scraggly goatee and angry eyes flash. "Who are you?! Blackguard!"

Mateo smiles, feeling the light. It's not often a vampire is granted blessings from a deity, though Mateo is an avid hunter and hates vampire politics. He adjusts his clothing, frowning at the massive holes in his trousers (though there's no longer many holes in his legs, and those that are there are rather small). He's going to have to buy a new suit when he finally decides to leave. Though for now, he's going to continue hunting, but he'll be subtle now. By being loud and noisy, he attracted two things that he was only just able to defeat and didn't leave much trophies. So now he walks through the forest as stealthily as he can, trying to sneak up on his next prey.

The yoshi has appeased the goddess! He'll glow briefly, before getting an instinctive... feeling. He knows that if he eats a creature, he'll take on it's color.

That'll be quite interesting.

[Northwestern Caverns]

The white flabby beast is slashed by the floating disk at this point, and it's skin tears brutally with the sound of shredding paper. Now, that got it's attention, but it's something DC may not actually like.

It's neck lengthens out as its entire body seems to twitch over to the side, away from the razor, and then it lets out a scream. this isn't some simple scream of pain, no, this is such a powerful awe inspiring howl that DC will be able to feel the very air vibrating around him, and given the acoustics of the cave and trumpeting quality of the creature's vocal chords, it may very well be loud and high-pitched enough to blow out the psychic's eardrums.

Circling tightly around the trunk of a skeletal tree, the fish doubles back and swims towards Wenomir. Once again, it opens its mouth and lets out another ice-beam.
This time, Wenomir dodges the beam by performing a pirouette to his left, then charging straight ahead at the fish, making a pair of diagonal slashes as soon - or if - he reaches it.

"Sss...much better."

The creature dives forward under the claws, rolling into a ball, then uncurling and jumping back up to his feet.

How to beat a dragon?

Step 1: Deny it the ability to fly.

It's almost like this creature's fought dragons before or something. Instead of trying to stab Gordon in the underbelly and risk getting trampled or just having his blade bounce off, the creature goes straight for the nearest wing, aiming several quick slashes as he runs past.

Well!

That may very well be interesting! Yellow will have to find some things to nom so he can change colors! No doubt that will be all sorts of fun! Maybe try light blue first?

Because he always wanted to fly...

Though given that his color will be changing on a regular basis now Rebo is going to have to come up with a nick name other than 'Yellow' for him.

Hmmm...

Anywho!

Yellow stops at a small stream, his line of eggs bouncing along behind him! The twelve foot tall dinosaur clad in black carapace armor stoops down to get a drink!

Well, that hurts. Gordon's left wing gets a few slashes before he pulls it back.

"Rargh! Clever, but that won't work twice."

Gordon knows about the weak points of dragons. That's why he spent a lot of money on a special armor, one that covers those weakness.

"blathering blatherskite"

The armor activates, covering Gordon, who takes advantage of the additional protection to risk a tail sweep against the creature.

Forest's Edge

An armored yoshi wanderer, chain-chomp and procession of eggs in tow, stopping to rest at a small brook after a hard day's adventuring, to rest and revitalize for the challenges that no doubt lie ahead? Why, this story could go just about anywhere. Next thing you know the poor dino could be grabbed by a stream-dwelling beast from the deepest fathoms of some insane gods mind, or fighting clockwork owls that sing in binary formed of ticks and tocks! The creative possibilities for this scenario are nearly limitless....

And delicious.

In the trees above, a set of yellow green and vermillion eyes stare down at the wandering dinosaur, their owner licking his dessicated lips. Like a living blob of silly-putty the Creativity Vampire stretches groundward from it's perch, trying to grab one of the yoshi's eggs and quickly pull it back up into the concealing folds of the treetops.

Mmm...

Water!

Way better than drinking sea water, that's for sure. And sadly the yoshi hasn't found nearly as many melons in his trek through the forest as he would have hoped. Oh well. As he drinks he's startled by a sudden, "ARF ARF!" from the Chomp!

The sizable dinosaur jerks upright, glancing around for signs of danger.

But the only thing he spots...

Huh...

One of his eggs is missing.

Maybe it got stolen by one of those annoying bandit rats?

Do those even live around here?

Ah well.

He bends back down again to continue his drink.

Hee hee!

With a silent snicker at the poor yoshi's bewilderment, the creativity vampire tucks the egg away in it's nest a little higher in the trees branches, along with the rest of it's ill-gotten spoils. It's got all sortsa stuff up there, from computer wristwatches to shiny pebbles to a magicky-smelling sword it swiped from a passing paladin.

Creativity vampires are pretty much oversized magpies when it comes to resisting shiny stuffs.

Yoinking the aforementioned magicky sword and a slice of raw owlbear meat from it's horde, the vampire stretches down once more, this time in an attempt to rid the yoshi of it's companion.

Waving the bloody hunk of flesh in front of the chain-chomps face for a moment to get it's attention, the vampire slashes at the chain tethering the spherical guard-dog to it's master before quickly hurling the meat far, far away. Hopefully this will result in the chain-chomp being unchained and going after the meat instead of the vampire, as the former is certainly more appetizing than the latter, who smells more like pocket lint and aluminum than anything edible.

Oh you silly vampire.

Should have been happy with the egg.

As soon as the monster appears again the Chomp gives a loud, "ARF ARF!" and starts pulling at the chain!

Quick as a flash Yellow grabs the chain, whips around, and aims to clobber the crap out of the vampire via smacking it upside the head with his Chomp!

And he's not tinder-footing around here, either! The yoshi charged his toothy flail with his yellowness! Should the attack hit it'll send a seismic shockwave exploding through the vampire's body that would prove lethal to many foes!

Oh, ouch. The greedy vampire gets clobbered right in the face by the seismically charged chomp, letting out a pained YIPE! and dropping the sword as it rockets back up into the trees like a rubber band.

Unfortunately, creativity vampires don't really have any organs to break so as powerful as that walloping was, it doesn't deal that much actual damage to the bizarre creature. Just leaves it stunned and with one hell of a headache, coiled up around a high-hanging branch.

Looks like the yoshi's gonna have to figure out how get the pesky undead down from there before he can kill it for good.

"Arf arf!" says the Chomp, apparently pleased with being used to bludgeon things.

Good dog.

Best weapon.

Yellow glares at the creature. He's eaten undead things before. Dry Bones, mostly. They taste terrible. But dissolving them utterly is one of the few effective ways to get rid of them for good. And reaching things on branches?

Ha!

That's easy. The yoshi is twelve feet tall. And his tongue, fully extended, is about twice that in length. And barring everything else he could just jump up there if he had to.

So what does this all mean?

It means that Yellow defaults to the most tried and true method among yoshis to solve problems.

By eating them.

"bNOM!" goes the yoshi as he lashes his tongue out at the vampire!

In the driver's seat is Fritz, a speckled and bespectacled gray mouse, the Don's bodyguard, right-hand man and possibly best friend, not a front-line brawler like his boss but a crack shot with any gun you care to name. In the vehicles to either side are more of the Don's muscle, the ones following behind various capos who've earned enough favor with the boss to be invited along for the hunt.

Every one of the transports is packed to the gills with firepower, from simple mouse-sized versions of normal Earth weaponry to packs of plastic explosive, harpoon cannons and even a missile launcher or two. One really can't be too prepared when heading into place like this.

With so many magical creatures prowling the Hunting Grounds, the smaller beings who've lived there quite peacefully for a long time, tend to be forgotten.

The plains are home to a wide variety of these ordinary creatures, most of whom are too large to give the mice much notice, and some of whom are mice themselves. So the group is, at first, largely ignored.

But how could a pair of frolicking young foxes resist such a colorful parade? The bright cars and the smell of their favorite prey draws the brother and sister to investigate. Although they aren't even dire-foxes, just ordinary auburn-colored critters, they still have the potential to be deadly enough to a mouse.

Being fairly new to the prospect of hunting, they probably don't do a very good job of stalking the procession. Though to be fair, they are running in order to keep up with their speedy prey, which makes blending into the surroundings rather difficult.

Swamps
Spoiler

The fish manages to swim-fly under the first strike, but the second lops off a good part of its curtain-like fin. The severed portion softly flutters to the ground like a discarded garment. A thick black and silver mist begins to pour from the wound. The fish lets out a high pitched cry, and as it continues past Wenomir it seems to have lost much of the grace it flowed with earlier. It wobbles in the air a few times, trailing glittering black behind it. Some of this trail passes Wenomir's face, and should he get a good sniff of it he'll find himself feeling much more relaxed.

The fish repeats the process of swimming away and then doubling back. Except this time it's going much faster, and will go out of its way to ram right into Wenomir.

As Mateo makes his way through the forest, he'll hear her first. A woman's voice, singing sweetly. Even the very birdsong seems to have died down so it can listen. He can't recognize the song. It sounds almost Sylvan, but anyone with any actual experience will be able to say that it certainly isn't. Whatever language it is, though, it's almost heart-breakingly beautiful. Mateo might find himself strongly tempted to- no, needing to - find the source of this beautiful song.

Oh Lucifer's toenails. Why did mortals always have to be like this? Couldn't they just accept that they'd been saved without any ulterior motives? Mercutio's ulterior motives aside, they were all so suspicious! It was really quite irritating.

"I just saved your sorry life, mortal." Mercutio's words are emphasized by a thunderous crashing sound as the boulder of ice hits the ground. "Or do they not teach basic manners in the material planes anymore?" He takes a step back. Thenadier will notice a silvery-blue light emitting from below Mercutio's sleeve. Lines of abyssal text snake into the palm of the devil's hand. After a moment, the light takes on the shape of a jutte - a baton with one long round tine and one shorter one parallel to it designed for catching hostile blades. He holds it up, ready to catch Thenadier's blade and twist it out of his grasp should he try anything untoward. "If you attack me, I'll be forced to burn you to a crisp and take your soul. I'd rather not do that right now. I have something else in mind, if you'll stop acting like a child and listen."

As Mercutio speaks, Thenadier might be distracted by events going on behind the devil's back. The hail has stopped, but one of the clouds is sinking down to ground level. It stops about five feet up, and this is when Thenadier gets his first good look at it. His impression of sheep turns out to be mostly accurate. He can even make out a clear head, with a long snout and huge and surprisingly solid horns. The head merges seamlessly into the cloud, just as fluffy and soft as an unshorn sheep. The cloud ram snorts, and charges the pair of them. Since Mercutio appears to be quite unaware of this, it may just be up to Thenadier to return the favour. If he chooses to do so, anyway.

Since Gnatz is gone the scorpion will try to the the other on. This time he comes from directly under the enemy trying to either spike him on his tail or grap him with it.

Grantz stays hovered in the air. Rakshasa acts as a decoy and puts up a defensive stance staying in one place, due to that he does not see the scorpion tail come out of the ground and the tail impales itself somewhere on the torso.
Being a Demon Rakshasa tries to grab the tail to use his body as an anchor to keep the attacker in place while Amir preps his C4.

((After this is Amir's turn but since what I did needs a response from the scorpion, who's turn is next then?))

It's possible for the two Wolfen to climb on top of the latawiec, but the creature won't make it easy for them. It swoops down, before taking to the skies again, spirals and performs other aerial manuevers in an effort to get them off.

Wenomir waits, perfectly motionless, as the fish flies towards him, holding his sword low. Just as it gets close him and is about to ram into him, the warrior will take a step back and thrust his blade forward, attempting to make the creatre impale itself on it.

Gordon knows about the weak points of dragons. That's why he spent a lot of money on a special armor, one that covers those weakness.

"blathering blatherskite"

The armor activates, covering Gordon, who takes advantage of the additional protection to risk a tail sweep against the creature.
Armour would imply that Gordon is rendered unable to fly while it is out, though.

Otherwise the armour would surely be so flimsy that his foe could pierce through to the wings anyway?

Anyway, as expected, Gordon follows up with a tail swipe. Apparently having guessed this was coming next, the creature leaps over the tail, rolling clear and breaking up into a run, turning once he's got out of melee range of the dragon. "Sss...ssome dragon you are. Ssso sslow, sso predictable."

DC's hands slam over his ears, the psychic forced to drop his weapons to protect his own hearing. That abrupt shift of focus also makes him lose his telekinetic grip on the bladed disc, the nearly falling to the cave floor before stopping its descent.

Said weapon flies at the monster again, though clumsily and not that quickly, as DC's still recovering there.
