Lomni does as he's told - after all, what choice did he really have? During their rest period, he studies the map more, trying to commit it to memory. He also takes a good look a his new greatsword - cleaning it up more, if necessary. He tries to come up with a workable scabbard for it utilizing bits of armor from the fallen drow warriors.
Oh yeah, I forgot, but Kirzen didn't. She's making him a nice one actually...
Scabbard
adjust to fit any size blade, appears as desired by wielder
tipped with Pearl of Sirines
1/day each(max duration, or until sheathed) Bane bonus against any foe type (excludes any weapon has) declared when drawn (1 hour) Icy Burst(1 minute)
ooc: If you don't mind Gryn, can we get a map once you've figured out enemy actions? Doesn't look like Lomni's gonna get 3 rounds to study the giant for the death attack...
Yeah I can work on a map.
The "advance boldly" kinda mucks up the whole death attack thing...
"While studying the victim, the assassin can undertake other actions so long as his attention stays focused on the target and the target does not detect the assassin or recognize the assassin as an enemy."
Lomni's actions are going to depend on whether or not the drow warriors (who act before Lomni) are able to kill any of the goblins in the front lines...
A smile slid across Lomni's face as the giant bellowed his answer. Lomni stepped up [5 foot step to D5] and attacked.
ooc: DC 16 fort save or die (death attack) for each one that hits.
As I read it the death attack only applies to one attack.
1st attack missed, makes Lomni visible
2nd is unconfirmed critical, but qualifies to force the death attack save or 39 dmg
3rd is confirmed critical 49 dmg
Given the damage it has suffered prior to this, and the damage dealt by this attack sequence, it would be dead whether it saved or not. If the save fails it would look more dramatic, so...
Holy crap batman, I got myself wrapped up in quite a mess here! I suppose its inevitable, with only two players and the whole universe to play as NPC hehe
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems we can't really do any melee attacks at this point due to others being in front of us... Any chance of a map?
There's room for you to get in there into melee. I'll try to churn out a map, until then maybe this will help...
The tunnels are 10' wide. There are 2 drow warriors and the bugbear zombie at the intersection. The bugbear zombie and one drow are in the front of the intersection, with one warrior behind the other. So there's a 5' space behind the bugbear zombie in the intersection.
hey guys, drastic life changes going on just now so I have only limited access to public computer. Not having access to my computer means some loss of info I had worked up, but we'll push on anyway, albeit a little slower most likely for a week or 3. But fear not, it won't be a lost cause!
Uhm, Lomni? I'm not sure how much you guys want to play this out. Its not much of a challenge really, though there could be some ability drain and temp loss. Frixal will repair jmost of it anyway for her brothers, since she depends on them to accomplish what she wants.
If you want ot play it out it fine, I'll do the gory details. Otherwise we can move this bit along to the next.
I apologize for this pre-emptively, but I have concluded that I don't have time to run this game in any fashion I would enjoy or respect. Perhaps sometime in the near future I'll have leisure time to spend gaming again, but for now I'm ending the game here.
