I think I'll just get a critical hit with Ruby Nightmare Blade. (1d20+17)[35], extra damage is (1d10+8)[16] plus the 30 from the regular hit.
So that's 46 damage, which is only two less than the maximum damage eldritch blast could deal on a critical. The blast will definitely be secondary in combat to my maneuvers.

I'm giving you another Standard Action.
You know you wanna Eldritch Blast someone.

One melee or ranged attack action. Doesn't Eldritch Blast count as a ranged attack? It could be argued that since it's an SLA that it wouldn't work, but that just seems like a technicality. I'm pretty sure I could Eldritch Blast someone through Snake's Swiftness. Of course, it's Lucretia's call. And I'm certainly not going to do it if the ogre is still alive, although I'm guessing it was taken out by the Nightmare Blade. So if it's still alive, I'll just finish it off, and if not and if Lucretia allows it, I'll blast some random mook.
I think Vardoth and Sythini will get along just fine.
Edit: Lucretia, would it be alright if I switched out the Invocation Leaps and Bounds with Hideous Blow? Leaps and Bounds is pretty much just flavor, and I'm already good at the skills it boosts, whereas channeling eldritch power into his blows seems very fitting for Vardoth. I haven't done anything that this would effect so far, so it wouldn't be that big a deal. If you would prefer me not to, I'll just wait until 10th level or so when I can change them anyway.
Also, Eldritch Blast is not a melee or ranged attack, it's a spell-like ability. You cannot use it in conjunction with Snake's Swiftness. Otherwise that opens up the door for all sorts of silliness. The wording of SS is clear, says I.
The ogre is not dead.

Yes Strainseir, and you were at the top of my notepad with the information about your attack, and I totally forgot to write it in after I wrote about Galizur. I'm sorry!
But yes you did.

I'm still thinking of what would happen in a Vardoth vs. Ashley match. You could easily butcher me in melee with Wraithstrike and Power Attack, but my mobility would keep me out of range, and I could just fly and pepper you with Blasts. But on the other hand, you could cast Fly and follow me, with a much faster speed. But then I could invoke Voracious Dispelling and tear apart your buffs while hurting you. But then you could...
Well, I don't know. But it would be a cool fight if it ever happens.

Well no matter what, Sythini ultimately wins.
New Animate Dead minion.

Which is why I'm not going to post the combat results yet, because I'm very tired (and yet I cannot go to sleep) and I'm really upset at myself for making mistakes (such as forgetting Strainseir's results). But I hope the pace can be maintained, because Chapter One is relatively short and if we can get it entirely out of the way, I think we can move on to the more interesting bits like choosing a heresy and meeting with the representatives.

Mistakes happen, and indeed are particularly to be expected at the beginning - nothing to worry about. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Sorry y'all, I just got home and trying to post the fight results via phone proved... really really difficult. I'm eating dinner now, compiling the notes, I hope to have a response up before the night is over.
I'm sorry
Also, 503 errors might be the devil, especially in Safari. Where information isn't stored. So if you mess up a post due to 503, the whole post is lost.
Not that I lost a post or two today trying to 1) report the fight to you and 2) explain why I hadn't done 1. Not bitter.
...

I recommend not driving yourself crazy trying to do it from the phone. We're moving along at a good clip for a PbP, and just because it is sometimes faster than 1/day doesn't mean you should feel too pressured to keep up that kind of pace when it isn't practical.
Don't worry Lucretia, I'm sure as soon as you make your post, the five of us will all post again within 30 minutes. So you can just start the process all over again.

I know what you mean with the 503 errors. I myself have lost several long posts this way, and it can get really annoying. I've found that copying my posts before submitting them can be very helpful. But anyway, it's no trouble. This way we're just kept in suspense for a while.
