You're a great dm and I am pretty sure that the idea alone for this game is good enough to keep us all interested. If you were forced to only make one post a week I would still want to be part of this game.

For the time being, If we can convert anything we find into liquid resources, I wouldn't mind just a fair share of cash. As a ghost, I have to have things enchanted specially so that I can use them as a ethereal creature. Otherwise I lose the item when I lose the dead body.

THE VINDERSHIMMERSANDERSON HERESY
The central tenet of the Vindershimmersanderson Heresy is that Khorli Vindershimmersanderson lives. The Vindershimmersanderson heretics believe that Khorli watches from the heavens and watches over all those loyal to her. Furthermore, there is a belief that the other six Lords betrayed Khorli, and the heretics ache to repay the Lords for their betrayal. There isn't much other than demagogy that instills the conviction in the Vindershimmersanderson heretics.
EDIT: As for Zububenfluter, I've got a friend who butchers the German language for fun. He started with the original, Die Zauberflöte. Then it was Di Zauberflaute. Then Zuberflaute. Then Zuberfluten. Then Zububerfluten, then zububenfluter. Chain reaction.

I had no idea there'd be support for the Regenerationists. I figured they'd be the pansy heresy no one wanted to support because it's all about healing things. Weird.
EDIT: You may not have noticed, but I intersperse a healthy dose of references and homage. Or at least, I try.
EDIT2: Also, I have planned for your attempts to control all five cardinal heresies, as well as many derivations therein. It has been plotted out, so feel free to go for all five if you so desire. There's no way that will end poorly for you.

That is actually surprising. I took one look at the regenerationists and figured that was the one you wanted us to take the most. It just seems to fit the theme of the campaign and what we know of ourselves.
And honestly, the Eight Lords and Ascension heresies strike me as ones to avoid at all costs. It's a little too 'lord friendly' for our agenda of brutally murdering them.

I was hoping for another confirmation -- I don't want someone to say later "gosh, well I did't choose the Omnicidals, so this is suddenly very lame!" It's a group decision that'll impact the rest of the planned content, so I'm not wanting to rush it. But if y'all're sure -- or if CowMasterTrojan is the only player and thus this is gonna be a solo mission -- then proceed back to the town on the side of the lake. There'll be a present waiting for you.

Decorative plushie, actually. Collectable. It's a side-mission, sort of like the snowglobes in Fallout: New Vegas.
...
The above was a joke but I'm now tempted to find ways to insert plushies into the game.
In one of my games, one of the characters had Craft (Puppets) and Perform (Puppet Show). She had a side quest of having to collect all the magical puppets of Himje'nson, the original Puppeteer of the current era they were living in.
Was an interesting Barbarian, to say the least.

In Mass Effect 2, all my fish kept dying. I kept them in the tank. Does that count as collecting all the 'plushies'?

I'm in.
Because we're PCs.

Agreed. This ought to be amusing.

Ooh yes. A group of probably insane, violent maniacs who are trying to destroy the entire world, and who's leaders are usually killed in religious rituals. Add in the fact that they are the most militant of the Heresies, and would make an excellent fighting force if they were to actually be united? Vardoth is going to have a ball with this one.
If we're ever given the opportunity to take over the Vindershimmersanderson heresy, I call dibbs on leadership for Galizur. All we have to do is find a recently deceased corpse, Galizur jumps in and tells them he brings word from the dead lord, and that they should follow him as he destroys the other lords so she can return to this world. They will eat it up like candy.

Yes, there won't be any random encounters. I was hoping to see if the other two Touched would post, but for the time being they'll be vestigial pieces to the party, unseen and unassailable until their players come back, if ever.
And if they're watching in the wings, then hopefully the above will make them post something here. If not, that's fine. Three works if not five. And I can always pull in the other two who I didn't select.

A note on Vardoth: As smart and schemish as he may be, he also has moments of complete stupidity. This is mainly because of his delusion that he is the center of the universe, and no matter what happens, he will end up on top. In his mind, Smarx is just a means to an end, a pawn of destiny, and therefor not any sort of threat.
Of course, his natural survival instinct normally stops him from acting like this when it would really be a bad idea, and he is able to recognize threats. He's very good at it, in fact. It's just that sometimes his hubris is such that he doesn't even realize there could have been a better course of action to take.
Also, should I drop a PM to the missing players? Maybe they've just gotten bogged down with other things and need a nudge to get back in the game.
Thanks to my schedule and random events in my life, the pace of this game will be between syrup and molasses, as you've observed so far. I would understand entirely if they decided it was too slow to bother with. That said, thank you three for sticking this far -- and if ever you would like to leave, just let me know. Seriously, I won't be angry, it's just nice for book-keeping purposes.
Smarx is a statted character, so if you wanted to attack him you could, and you'd probably win (he's a level below you, and not gestalt). But then he'd rise as a ghost and become incredibly cheerful and unkillable.
I know I'M having fun, so hopefully y'all are too! If not, let me know how I can make it better. Seriously, dialogue. I've tried to stress that from the word go and I'll reiterate it now. I am entirely open to discussion. Will I fold at the first sign of an argument? Of course not, because I want 1) to make proper decisions that have been reasoned out and 2) I want to understand what makes someone want to argue their side. But as a few players can attest, I have made decisions in their favor. It's rare ( ) but it's possible. So yeah, dialogue! Please just let me know!
Expect a post as you approach Hyrogi over the weekend.

can he still rise as a ghost if our necromancer made him a skeleton? I mean, to be fair I don't plan on killing him. He seems just as crazy as the omnicide heresy sounds, so maybe they just won't care.
