Interesting indeed. The implications are quite staggering, in fact.
Actually, the Cro-Magnon were much like modern humans and quite gracile. While, perhaps, prominent supra-orbital ridges were more common, it's unlikely that Jones' appearance would have caused them to ask too many questions.
