About me-College student, D&D is my hobby. As above, I relish versatilty in my characters, emphasizing survivability and preparedness. An ideal party role for me would be as a multiclass healer/expert, and I rarely make a character that is not at least a decently capable combatant. I am a proficient role player, though I tend to select personality types that are either somewhat average or in some way moderate (for example, I rarely play the emo necromancer or the overzealous LS paladin...another reason I prefer the level-headed, confident ranger class.) How often can I post: Typically several times a day, although that falls off sharply during the summer.
Type of Campaign: Character-driven sagas, often with clear goals becoming apparent, hopefully with a hint of challenge, danger, and possibly romance. I generally find that D&D 3.5 can support that, but I'm also quite the fan of 3rd edition White Wolf and the Savage Worlds system. I'm open to other settings if the rules can be procured.
Type of Characters: Generally people with the ability to cope with life outside of combat, with detailed backstories that are more than just a string of tragedies to cause existential angst. The works of David Eddings are a role model to me; all fantasy heroes should still strive to remain human.
Sample Character Sheets: I have a few, but I don't repeat characters often so I'll leave this space blank, or at the least absent of the material which it was originally intended for. However, if you feel inclined to read A Paladin's Heart or Redemption: Chapter 1, I have a starring role in the former and a guest starring role in the latter.
Old characters: Rarely do I play the truly aged, as they are far more susceptible to infirmities which rarely permit one to adventure effectively.
Information about you: Well, I tend to the loquacious, and often the whimsical. I have an often macabre sense of humor, read comics on the internet, and play D&D. I also read fantasy novels. Somehow, none of these traits particularly distinguish me from anyone else here on these boards, so I leave my ruggedly handsome good looks and mellifluous voice to your imagination.
If you hadn't guessed, I'm primarily interested in roleplaying-heavy campaigns, though I'm not one of those people who want to hang out in bars all day and derail the plot. Those are called Writers, and they have been out of vogue since Ernest Hemingway killed himself. Info about You: Let's see, I first started playing D&D about 2 years ago, picked up the PHB at a whim, had no idea what the game was, just decided to buy it. Turns out, I loved it and it consumed my life. Got a few friends to start playing and POOF had my first campaign going, this is still going on to this day, great game. I own a wide variety of books, as that tends to be what I spend my money on... Although I tend to use only a few of them. My favorite type of character would have to be the Bard variety, followed up by the Wizard or Cleric.

Info about you: I am the all-around everybody, the chameleon player. Capable of taking a hardened warrior or a soft-hearted sorceress into the same battle as completely different entities. I like loose stories, rather than the stricter campaign, and find things like NWN or most other CRPGs far too restricting. If that doesn't tell you anything, then you can ask for more.

Info about you: Hey there, ^_^ I'm Sornas. 18 years old, male, and a freshman in college. I used to do board RP a lot (Non stat based), but have fallen out of practice in recent years. Like I said above, I should be able to post fairly often, but I am a bit of a flake, and prone to large, sudden loads of work due to school, hence a slightly extended answer.
I'm very much a "good-guy" player, with my favorite alignment being neutral good, and I try my best, for the most part, to help the game run smoothly (Bite the DM's hook, so to say). I know some people don't think that is good roleplaying, but I think it is just good playing in general. (I.E. Helping to save the town despite how my TN character dislikes the populace, or getting permission from the DM to allow my Paladin to recieve a vision telling him it's ok to travel with the evil PC, as long as he attempts to reform her.)

PbP History
I've played and taken part of several campaigns here on the forums. Several have been devoured by the forum limits while others are listed below. I'd have to say my favorite campaigns were the Mekton adventures I ran once in the spring. Had a great group of players and I hope to be able to start another in the near future.

Info about you: I tend to make characters that are for lack of a better word "special" by almost all accounts. For example, I am currently playing around with a halfwit orc character that is about 10 ft tall and 800 lbs or so, pure muscle and no brains, thats accompanied with a three foot tall "cat-monkey-person" fire mage that has an extreme fear of fire. Obviously, I like the roleplay heavy things, but a heavy bit of mob smashing does a body good.
