Wielders of the Axe of Prissan Starting with the most recent
Big Ears - Male Goblin Paladin. One of the protagonists of the story and current wielder of the axe. Saral Caine* - Evil Male Half Stone Giant/Half Human. Ally of Dellyn Goblinslayer and minor antagonist in the Brassmoon arc. Dri Featherknife - Female Human Rogue/Paladin. She was killed by Goblinslayer and Saral Caine after uncovering their plot to frame the sherrif of Brassmoon for murder. Flejj Hillmover - Male Dwarf. He fought Kore twice and survived. His family was not so lucky. He shaved his beard in shame.
----
Felsibeth "Soot" Blackbringer - Young Female Human Paladin. Youngest to ever wield the axe. Kelstride Blackbringer - Male Human Paladin. Soot's Father. Former chimney sweep. Killed by a Kobold stampede. Drose - Genderless Golem Paladin. Drose passed the Axe to Kelstride Blackbringer to prevent the demon imprisoned within from taking control of his body. Eled of the East - "Fat, over confident" Paladin. Was given the axe by Myorg. Mryorg* - Evil Male Ogre. Beat (but did not kill) Vilias Red in combat and took the Axe from her. Used it to cause great suffering before eventually giving it to Elad purely to make the demon contained within suffer after coming so close to freedom. Vilias Red* - Female Human Rogue. Was friends with Tivoth Fastfoot and took the axe after Tivoth died in battle with the intention of giving it to another Paladin. Tivoth Fastfoot - Male Paladin. Encountered Vilias Red looting a corpse and assumed she had murdered the man. Once he realized she was innocent, the two became friends and traveled together.
----
Kevitch Gritland* - Evil Male... formerly... Human maybe... Fighter/Wizard. Horribly mutated by an evil swamp. Killed Eldrock Cloudcry and claimed the axe as his own. Eldrock Cloudcry - Known in name only.
-----
Cal - Male Gnome Paladin. Egotistic gambler. Had a powerful, icy magic effect. Jelbin Crae - Male Human Paladin. Gave Cal the Axe willingly. Nothing else is known.
I'm having a bit of trouble parsing out that threat.
Does he mean "There will be lots more pain and death today"?

Darn! I thought I was fast enough. Well, the original's back.
Looking closely, I can see some very slight differences in this art style compared to Thunt's usual art. Thinner lines, mostly.
Let's now enjoy the grace period of the next few weeks before Thunt goes mad and returns to his overly obsessive ways.

You have insulted our thread! For that, you shall die!
I'm really getting sick of these goblins. Call me crazy, but this is the reason why adventurers hunt 'monsters'.

Well, goblins are " Usually Neutral Evil." I'd assume that this is the case even in Thunt's setting. We just happened to get the perspective of a non-evil warcamp from the start, and even they were advised by an evil cleric.
You know, I wasn't that much of a fan of the orc at first. He seemed like an unnecessary replacement Big Guy for K'seliss, who was awesome as only the one evil teammate can be. That last panel has changed my mind. Nice Intimidate check.
K'seliss always struck me as more Chaotic Neutral than really evil.
Anyway, this is definitely the same "player" that did K'seliss. The mannerisms are different because the character is different, but the same big badass bruiser and the same penchant for the killer one liner are there. It's just a politer version of the exact same thing really.
I honestly didn't read a threath into the statement myself. Seemed more a way to convey that the Viper Crazy Violence is pretty unneccessary and stupid.
I wonder why are the Viper be aggressive (or the team is too dumb to get the orange goblin first)?
P.S- Is Goblin in Dark Fantasy Category. Either that or we saw too many evil (Or racist since the universe could allow lawful good to become mass murderers towards monsters) humans).

Because they're powerful enough to be aggressive, basically.
They're mean because they CAN be mean. It's the nature of any tribe to be that way to its neighbors once it has the strength, unless it has some moral reason not to.
It's not even a "good v evil" thing. Azure City was supposed to be good, and they mostly were, but they still did it to the goblins. It's just about power, and how you decide how to use it. It doesn't take much either.
I honestly didn't read a threath into the statement myself. Seemed more a way to convey that the Viper Crazy Violence is pretty unneccessary and stupid.
It is not that the statement in itself was a threat. It was everything else leading up to it that makes it threatening. Also the simple fact the Orc's sharp pointy and intact Teeth show all the time that makes him a bit more threatening. Coupled with his unworried attitude towards having a half dozen archers aiming at him then he says the line followed by a quick statement followed by specifically repeating the line. I am fairly certain it was meant as a threat.
I would have way use that line as a battle cry. I foresee him dying in the rain though.

If he had left it at the first, "it sure is sunny today" I would agree, but with his explanation about how there is always more pain and death than there is sunshine, repeating the statement about how sunny it is, especially with that look, is pretty clearly stating, "I am going to kill me a shed load of short little white goblins if you are stupid enough to give that order."

I think it was both. "Violence is stupid, just let me leave. But if you do give that order, most of you are going to die."

If there's always more pain and death than sunshine, and if there's a great deal of sunshine, then it stands to reason that there's also going to be a great deal of pain and death.

K'seliss reminded me of Firefly's Jayne.
Still, it was an interesting look at an alternate psychology.
The whole semi transparent meat thing makes the orcs expressions hard to read.

Aren't one-liners supposed to be, well, one line?

What makes his expressions hard to read is mostly that his jaw never moves. Apparently, he has mastered the art of speaking only through lips movement. Try to speak while clenching your teeth and tell me if you can wax for as long as Biscuit here.
