The misstep isn't costing Biscuit more than a foot, K'seliss bit it from the more-or-less full body contact that last attack required from him. It's not going to spread, and i doubt he's going to leave it lying around like that.
The real question is who will it land on after he bats it off the cliff edge ?
We do need to remember that thunt didn't know Biscuit was going to be that popular, he mentioned this on twitter I think, and he may well have planned his death out ahead of time and can't find a way to re-write it that achieves what is needed.
the Fort Save DC isn't actually that high. That bit about failing 3 saves makes me seriously wonder if it's from "Coming into contact" three different times.
Note that there's actually two distinct phases, the one where you gel a little and get sores, then the one where that limb turns to blue goo.
I think contact forces you to the "gelly-like, sore-covered limb" stage without a save, and failing the save causes it to turn to blue goo and results in imb loss, where otherwise you're probably OK with a Remove Disease or Restoration.
Still sucks, but the only alternative is that nobody's rolled above a 10 against Mr. Fingers.
It's a FORT save! Against a Lizardman and an Orc!
Fort is their GOOD save! Even if they only have a small bonus to it, out of the 4 times (So far) that Mr. Fingers has touched one of them, you'd think they'd roll high enough to beat the DC.
Seconded. Come on. Battle-hardened veteran, slave of demons for hundreds of years, in the SAME DUNGEON as Mr. Fingers... and he steps on it? Not. Buying. It.
He would no more have stepped on that finger than he would have a single caltrop. You pay attention where you are moving to, and avoid lethal obstacles. This is... beyond a newbish mistake.
Thunt also released the stats on Mr. Fingers. The Fort save DC is pathetically low. The only reason K'less ended up going goo was because he was having to make Fort saves every round due to [/i]ingesting[/i] it. Law of statistics states that, given enough rolls, three natural ones in a row will eventually come up.
I always thought of it as technically feminine, and thought of it as 'The Witch'.
I agree that it as, well, as lame as Biscuit will be if he survives this.

Perhaps I just have a bad memory, but I don't actually recall Grem doing that.
He didn't whine, he just pined. "It's obvious that you're attracted to her", Duv said, but he didn't say anything. He gets bashful around her, but no whining.

I thought it looked like an old woman when it first showed up, and have always found the name "Mr." Fingers confusing. (Which is weird because I default to calling everything male if it has no gender characteristics.) I always just call it "The Finger-Thing".
Anyway, I doubt that anyone will ever make their save against the effect, because there would be little narrative point to a contact occurring if it were not to be certain doom. Though I do agree that it's pretty silly for Biscuit to have stepped on it (it's not completely absurd, a raging warrior isn't always going to watch every step, but it does rather conflict with his high Wisdom), and I second the idea that Biscuit should just cut off the leg before the effect spreads (and then be careful where he hops).
Even biscuit couldnt make that DC 400 or whatever fort save.

The comic. Does not. Follow. The game mechanics. The game mechanics. Followed. The Comic.
And the stat post was adjusted to make things fair, in the Goblinverse it's 100% touch and loose a limb, there are no fort saves or whatever factored into it, if you touch the thing, you WILL be effected because that is how it works!
And you know just because he's begun loosing a leg doesn't mean he's lost the fight, i can easily see him adapting to hopping around on one leg or crawling after Grem, Hell he's told us spesificly that he does not have a sense of loss, if his leg is gone, so what!? he can still fight! So he keeps fighting! It's not like it can't be replaced by either Klik, The blue orb, or a log.
Why does everyone assume that Biscuit knew Mr Fingers?
Sure they were in the same dungeon, but it didn't seem like the demon that had him bound was letting him out of its sight much.
And maybe, just maybe he's not quite as wise as he likes to believe?
By the rules the bonus to mental stats stops at +3, no matter how old you really get. I know Thunt doesn't always follow the rules, but there it is. And Orcs and Fighters aren't often known for their phenomenal wisdom to start with.
So even a "wise orc" might have less wisdom than your average human.

What makes you think he even noticed what it was? Why would he expect such a thing? He had no reason to suspect this goblin came from the dungeon. Now he knows.

...
I am now picturing Biscuit the Pirate.

...we hammered Thunt when he originally released the statblock for Mr. Fingers because it made negative sense. Is it really fair for us to now insist that the story adhere to the terms of that statblock?

He'd have to change his name to Hardtack.
