They were running from Bad Guy. Bad Guy shot Thunt's winding key off. Thunt's wife shared hers with him. Now they have one for 2 people so they can't live separately.
(unless one of them dies, then it'll be 1 key for one person, but I don't think that is what Thunt wanted to say through this comic)

The only good dachsunds are the ones bigger than cats, the ones that are smaller than cats are just weird in my experience anyway and chihuahuas are, ounce for ounce, the meanest dogs in the world.

I don't have a dog but I would save virtually ANY animal before I would save a stranger - strangers are dangerous! I know a dog that I pull out of a river or something isn't just pretending to drow so it can rob me at gunpoint, while people are very capable of exactly that kind of nonsense. Some bugs are quite interesting, and rats are only gross if they're feral, cage-bred rats are some of the sweetest animals you'll ever meet. Plus you left out gerbils, hamsters, squirrels, rabbits, turtles, geckos, and the entire bird kingdom (okay, not so much vultures), all of which I prefer to dogs (though it varies a bit by breed). Rats pee on everything, its like ant pheromone trails. They follow their path by leaving a trail of urine everywhere. Its not some thick trail, but still, PEE EVERYWHERE! One of my cousins used to have a pet rat and yes it was neat. But now that I know, they will never be allowed near me. As for small breeds of dogs, they get the same tolerance as cats for me. I will pet them if they approach, but dont expect me to adopt one. Except for pomeranians. Those things are just too damn adorable to dislike.

Gee, I always figured that was pretty much all mammals (other than the better-behaved humans). If you pick them up, you will get excreted on, one way or the other.

Aren't pomeranians the ones that look like a ball of fluff, and sound like a squeaky toy? Personally I'm fond of the bigger dogs myself. Huskies, those things are gorgeous.

Well, we could speculate how his son is doing with that 1.4cm kidney stone. Has he been into surgery yet? No word from Thunt yet.
There was no news, but just for the sake of this discussion kidney stone can be removed without a surgery - there is a method, where you break it to pieces with ultrasound. It's not very pleasent, when those pieces (more like sand at this point) come out, but it's still better then cutting into the kidney.
