Nah, I'd be amazed if you got the same thing 3 times in a row, so why try that again next time with the same statistics on the next round?

In the interests of keeping to at least one post per day, I have to say that I am still a bit amazed at how much damage Niko managed to do with his attack. Just one point short of the highest damage he could do without a critical. And if Judit doesn't land his hit, Niko will have done half of the round's damage to the bug (though that does assume that no one qualifies for any bonuses for good attack descriptions).
I'm hoping that a mending spell will work well enough in fixing up Niko's book. He will be hoping so too once the adrenaline wears off and he gets over the shock of his book's current condition. Niko will want the bug tied up and healed so that the book-destroyingmurdering caterpillar will be alive and conscious while Niko dissects it (he does have a chaotic neutral alignment).
Folks, I apologize. We lost power at the house for the last few days, and since I was on vacation I didn't come into the office to post. Now that I'm back, I'm playing catch-up on my work. I'll do my best to get in, but please DM PC me as you like until I can check in, hopefully tomorrow. I'll be fine with whatever happens.

If Niko's moment of nerd rage isn't stopped, there's a chance that the bug may become unsuitable for eating. Especially because Niko's dagger was plunged into a poison gland (although the others may not know that yet). Then again, maybe some of you would rather read about Niko screaming "LET'S SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT WHEN SOMEONE BITES SOMETHING OF YOURS!"

Well, Niko's opinion of rations is much like Dave Lister's opinion of pot noodles in the show Red Dwarf. Niko would be willing to put the bug into his mouth before the rations, but that probably won't happen until he goes a day or two without food.
Chappe just likes cooking and eating new things.
Though if asked he'll just say that it's to preserve what rations they have.
If they don't start saving now every little bit could eventually catch up.
