Unfortunately, I can't get the IC thread up until tomorrow due to real life scheduling, but it'll be up as soon as I can make it. Until then, this is the second year Claremont has gone with an all-powered class. Did you go last year, or are you new? What grade are you in? I'm assuming you're all staying on campus, but do you have any friends or family in the city?
Glad to be here! Here is Galdr and will be speaking in Red. He'd probably be better with something like Slate Grey, but that'd be too boring for these kind of games
This will be Galdr's first year at Claremont, obviously at campus. He has no relatives in Freedom City, though he'd probably know Eldritch well.

Given his backstorry, he's new to the school and even to the city.
Since time pased differently in the circus, he's probaly been considered a missing person for fifty years (I think i'm going to change to thirty, makes more likely he still has some folks alive, wich could make for an interesting reunion if it's ever comes up.). At any rate his family didn't live in freedom city but in a rural aera (I'll let the exact location free, make what you want of it). So no relatives in the city.
By the same logic he doesn't have any mundane friends either, the only people roughly of his age he'd know would be fellow escapee from the circus in the mist. (who may be hanging in the city or not. Up to you.). If you use Wisp as a NPc, then her.
He was found by the superhero who got him out of his hiding spot and dumped him in Claremont, so I guess that may count as an aquaintance/influence of some sort depending on the details of how it went.

Entitlement: Thetis is a princess; just because she doesn't act better than you doesn't mean she isn't better than you and deserves better than you. Shouldn't she already have been asked to join the Next-Gen by now?
Relationship: King and Queen of Atlantis; their enemies are therefore her enemies
Crush (Duncan Summers): She will never admit it, but she has a typical girlish crush on the Claremont Academy founder
Responsibility (Atlantis): As Princess of Atlantis, Thetis represents her people and is expected to appear at certain public events to foster good relations, among other royal obligations
Rivalry (Daisy Gibbons): The most popular girl in school immediately felt threatened when Princess Thetis appeared. Thetis normally wouldn't reciprocate such a rivalry (she is a princess, after all), but she doesn't like how Daisy treats other people
Weakness (Heat/Dryness): Thetis is accustomed to the cool depths of the sea; excessive heat or long periods of time without moisture take a greater toll on Thetis than humans
From Freedom City:
"Thetis is the granddaughter of the original Siren, the 1940s superheroine, member of the Liberty League, and now Queen Mother of Atlantis. Thetis’ father is Theseus, the King of Atlantis, formerly the superhero Sea-King. Both he and her grandmother felt Thetis needed an understanding of the surface world and its people if she was to deal with it as Queen of Atlantis someday. So they made arrangements with Duncan Summers for Thetis to attend the Claremont Academy as a student while also getting some training in the use of her powers. Thetis adopted the codename Nereid, from the mythic spirits of the sea."
Diary of Princess Thetis of Atlantis:
First day of classes of my second year here at Claremont Academy. Exciting!
The custodians installed my new water tank last night. I love it! Sleeping while fully submerged again (instead of in those ridiculous surface-world "beds" with wet fabric laid across me as if I were some fish caught in a net) is simply wonderful. My new tank even has controls to regulate the pressure: I can adjust it so the water is pressing against me as reassuringly as in my chambers back in Atlantis. I wake every morning now refreshed, unlike last year when I only felt alive after a morning swim and having some of that black bubbling sweet drink from the metal cannister.
Papa has sent word that we are to make an appearance at the United Nations for some gala, to foster world unity, next week. I understand why its important for Atlantis, but why do I have to be there? Its such a bore, and I was beginning to get the hang of this Dance Dance Revolution device. Maybe I can ask the disease controlling girl, Christie, to give me a case of coral fever or something as an excuse.
My classes are dull this year, surface topics that I just sit through and count the minutes. I do enjoy biology, though, and Mr. Hawke's ethics class is important, but of course I love the "special" classes the most! I practice my powers with a water wizard, an Inuit boy named Adlartok - his magic is very strong, but I am faster because I do not need to speak long spells or gesture - and a student whose name I can't pronounce. He... she? said that he/she was a vodyanoi... I don't know what that is, but his/her ice and water control is very precise. There is a lot I can learn from the vodyanoi, and Adlartok.
Oh, in homeroom, that girl Daisy was teasing one of the freshman boys, making him fawn over her and do ridiculous things to please her. Ugh! I hate her guts. Daisy and her friends make me sick; when people admire you, you have to be respectful and not play with their feelings as if they were toys. Its clear Daisy doesn't have a drop of royal blood in her, or she would know better.
I ran into Seven before lunch; I asked her about my induction into the Next-Gen. I found her response vague, and she quickly excused herself to get to class. Clearly I need to prove myself to them, and Seven is very cool, but I wish surface dwellers were more direct about things! I'm a big girl, I can take it!
Speaking of lunch, the food has not gotten much better this year. Land animals either are too intense in flavor or else too bland... and how they prepare fish into those horrid sticks, encased in that crumbly, oily brown substance, is absolutely disgusting! I crave sea urchin and oarfish and shark so much! None of the kitchen staff listen to my complaints. Though I admit I do like this thing surface dwellers call "Pocky" ... I should find a way for the royal cooks to prepare some back home in Atlantis.
Its good to be back in Claremont!
Thetis/Nereid is a returning second year student. I don't think she has any relatives in Freedom City (her relatives are the royal family of Atlantis, after all), but she obviously has an ally in the Freedom League's Siren (though according to the Freedom City book, Siren's base of operations is New Orleans, not Freedom City). If Atlantis has an embassy in Freedom City, then Thetis will definitely know the ambassador and his staff.
Also, I think Nereid and Gorgon should be room-mates! I can imagine Gorgon would have difficulty finding one, so Nereid could volunteer!
"Snake-body? Not a problem... many of my friends are mermaids. Snake hair? I used to have pet eels. Lethal gaze? There are hypnotic giant angler fish down in the depths, we Atlanteans were raised to be careful where we look since we were fry. As long as she doesn't snore. So when does she move in? Hopefully she likes Gilmore Girls..."

Well so long as you don't look at Gorgon in the eye, you should be fine. But I think Galdr would want to be roommates with Gorgon too. His fortitude immunity means he won't be bothered by her striking gaze and they share knowledge of the arcane lore.
And besides, who else would want to be roommates with a lich?

Background
Spoiler
Earth 620 – a place that is very different than the world of Freedom City. This, is the world of living marvels. Spider-Man swings throughout New York City, the Avengers proudly defend the world from threats. And a young man known as Con’nor-Vell was born; where he never existed in the Freedomverse.
Eighteen years ago, one of the Galaxy’s greatest heroes, Mar-Vell, in his human guise of Dr. Walter Lawson met a novelist named Genevieve Maxwell. Mar-Vell was smitten with the woman’s beauty and her bright mind. They courted and fell in love. Soon, Lawson revealed his true nature to Genevieve—that he was the Kree superhero Captain Marvel. Being a strong, open-minded woman, she accepted this fact; and learned to live with the strangeness that comes from having an alien for a boyfriend.
Eventually, the two were wed, and they conceived a child. He was born seventeen years ago, a baby boy named Con’nor-Vell, a.k.a. Connor Lawson. The boy was a true human/Kree hybrid. They lived happily, with Mar-Vell rushing off on his adventures frequently. Connor, for his strange genetic makeup, seemed like a relatively normal boy… until he was five years old.
Genevieve was walking home with Connor through Central Park one evening when they were accosted by a mugger. The man, with his gun, frightened young Connor… and before Genevieve knew what had happened, a massive blast of blue energy had disintegrated the mugger and torn a four-hundred feet long; eight feet wide trench into the ground. Genevieve looked at Connor just in time to see the bright blue glow fade from his eyes.
He was checked out by Reed Richards himself. The boy’s abilities were different than Mar-Vell’s. The combination of his Kree genes (already modified by the Supreme Intelligence) as well as an unexpected gift from his human side --- an activated X gene --- had combined to turn the boy into an endless generator of pure cosmic energy. In fact… so strong was that generation that there would be no way the boy could control it. So, using the ingenuity of Richards and Tony Stark, combined with the already-existing technology of Mar-Vell’s Nega-Bands, they constructed a new set. These were designed specifically to help control Connor’s abilities.
And they worked.
He was able to lead a normal-ish life. And his father trained him to use his gifts – the cosmic power, as well as the Cosmic Awareness. The two went on adventures together, with Connor as a young sidekick “Marvel Boy.”
As Connor got older, he was well adjusted and happy. His circle of friends included all manner of strange people, but he liked it.
But the good times never last forever. Mar-Vell died of cancer when Connor was fourteen. He was devastated. He begged his father to let him cure the ailment with his powers, but Mar-Vell insisted that it was his time. It shouldn’t be drug out any longer.
After that, Connor was recruited into the Young Avengers. He made an excellent addition to the team; even branching out to help the adult heroes when it came time for missions in space.
Which leads us to our current predicament. You see, Thanos was one of Mar-Vell’s greatest enemies. When Thanos had first acquired the Cosmic Cube, it has been Mar-Vell to blast the object and defeat the mad titan. Connor, as the new Captain Marvel, was obliged to help the Avengers when Thanos returned. And again, using the Cosmic Awareness to guide his hand, he helped pave the way for the Avengers to defeat the Titan.
But before they could completely stop him, Thanos turned his hateful eye onto the son of his former enemy. “You… The line of Vell will end here, no matter what else happens!” Using all of his might, Thanos punctured a hole in the fabric of the universe and hurled the young Avenger into it, sealing him away.
The Freedomverse – about one month ago: the night sky was still. A couple having a late night picnic saw a shooting star. It came down, flaring up as the fires of the atmosphere burned around it. And then it landed with a loud crash.
Connor, that shooting star, was lying in a crater in New York. He was beaten, broken… unconscious. AEGIS found him soon after, and he was treated. Connor had been knocked into a different reality. None of his friends even existed here. He had no known ways of getting back home. He was lost. What’s more, he had great power – generating energy, creating matter, healing the wounded. He was just the kind of vulnerable soul that Duncan Summers built Claremont for.
So Connor, with nowhere else to go, was transferred to Claremont. The new semester starts soon.

I didn't even think of Galdr because I can't think of a school that would allow co-ed roommates. All sorts of potential for naughty hijinks, real world or super world.
Sorry, no co-ed rooms at Claremont. Dorms are co-ed, though. Everyone has a choice of being in a single or double room (out of character, anyway; in character room assignments are based on availability, student's special needs, etc), and if you want a double you can pair up amongst yourselves, or take a ride on the GM roulette with an NPC.
I'll wait on Ripley to hear her opinion first. I'd like for Galdr to share a dorm with Gorgon, but if that doesn't work. I'll hop on the GM roulette wheel.

I think it'd be super convenient if we were all in the same dorm, maybe even on the same floor, though spreading us out might increase plot hook potential. I think I'll actually go Spice of Life and hop on the roulette wheel.
It'd be hilarious if Thetis had to share a room with Daisy Gibbons!
Gorgon will be speaking in Purple. She'll be a new arrival, and since she's 16, probably a sophomore or young junior.
Star, if GB is willing to bend the no co-ed roommate rule, I'd be cool with Gorgon and Galdr rooming together. They might be able to convince the headmaster that there's less chance of hijinks when it's a snake and a skeleton. The same goes for Nereid, if LoP decides not to take a spin on the GM wheel. Otherwise I think she'll take a single room, being rather shy still, and worried about turning people into elaborate statuary.
As for family and friends, her family is currently quite far away, and she has no friends living in FC, so she'll be eager to connect with the other students.

Claremont is a high school, so they disallow mixed-gender rooms no matter how totally plausible a student's complete disinterest in their roommate may sound.
In other new, our IC thread is now open. Share and enjoy.

I'll go with the dm roulete though i do'nt mind being just as randomly paired with cladrr or zenith, or alone.
(from an Ic POV, Herb is loner so dodn't excpet too much interaction at first.)

I just realized I miscalculated my points and I have a pp free. I want to add a Transform power to Nereid's water control array: how many points per rank would a Transform that let Nereid basically transform water into all three of its phases (ice, liquid water, and steam) be?
Edit: When I try to copy the pic of Gorgon, something goes odd and it won't let me download it. Could you re-upload her, or something, Smuch?
That's weird, you're the second person to have something like that but it wok finre for me.
Well rehosting genraly works so, here, reuploaded on tinypic this time:
Does it work now?

Gonna post now, and try to come up with a reason why Thetis has been so quiet, but for now, I guess I'll roll. No way I can beat 21 though, just tie it.
Does Thetis know what they are capable of, from last year? Well, obviously Terry is a speedster. I hate speedsters! They tend to all be hyperactive and annoying, so I'll be happy to punch his lights out!
