Re: [D&D3.5] Adventuring School (4 DMs & 20 players wanted)
You missed me on the table. I am not done but here is what I have so far.
Is there any cost for adding spells to a wizards spell book beyond the cost of materials?

There's the 100 GP per page cost for the spells, and you have to have some way to gain access to the spell itself (be it by purchasing a scroll, or access to another wizard's spellbook (The PHB recommends a fee of 50 GP times the level of the spell for each spell)

I wanted to cheek that the cost for accessing the spell were not reduced as we are at an adventurers school?

Just to make sure: Wu Jen learn spells like a Wizard, correct?
Question: If I add a +2 INT bonus to a Hat of Disguise, how much does it cost?

However, the 100 gp per page can be reduced, either by use of the old version of Amanuensis (makes it free) or a boccob's blessed book (1/8 price, but must buy in units of 12,500 gp (1000 pages)).
Also, the text for Boccob's Blessed book implies that it should be 25 gp/page.

6700 gp
4000 for the +2 Int
2700 for the hat of disguise. (All costs other than the most expensive are increased by 50% when combining magic items like that).

Recomended age is ten 10... Out of curiosity, are we going to have an uber powerful wind mage or something? Perhaps with a vampire master who looks like a ten year old girl in frilly, black nightgowns/dresses?

Doom, I need to know if I can use the wild armor property with the alternate form ability.
edit: about the Tarasque in your sig, Doom and I have even worse ideas. Try a tarasque with spellcasting capabilities, and smart ta boot.
What he said.
I'll summarize for thee:
Takes place in 1945 Earth with Fantasy races.
Adventuring School in England.
Start at Level Ten.
If you are confused, eat a pumpkin.
Doomboy911: I still have the question about the languages; do real-world languages exist? Do they take up space for our Languages Known? Do fantasy languages exist?
Re: [D&D3.5] Adventuring School (4 DMs & 20 players wanted)
Yes you can do that armor trick we have one more bit of room age is no issue as you're adventurers if you want to fight as an old man than adventure that way if you're a little kid who wants to make his name in the world than do that. Pop up all your questions DMs I will inform you all in a bit I need to eat and check on all the other forums.

So, it looks like I'm DMing instead of playing, then. I've sent you a PM with the potential concept for the Teacher, Doomboy.

Real world languages exist you won't run into someone who speaks japanese and dwarven at the same time (can you just imagine it though) so deal with her that way. Consider language that aren't fantasy as just a skill point away from knowing it.

Understood.
Are we considering dialects as different languages or as one single language?
Do we get to choose a real-world language as an automatic, free language?
How much does a plain, unenchanted robe cost; I can't seem to find the cost anywhere...

Well...linguistically speaking, it's many languages lumped into one category by the rest of the world. Unless you're talking about Pinyin, then it's dialectal.

You are correct; however, all those dialects use the same writing system, which is why it is lumped together.
Re: [D&D3.5] Adventuring School (4 DMs & 20 players wanted)
I know Doomboy had previously set a July 4th deadline for sheets...any chance of getting that extended to the end of the week? I still very much want to play as Alistair, but RL craziness combined with today's holiday and last week's submission deadline in the Iron Chef Optimization thread have kept me rather busy. Should be slowing down now, though.

Re: [D&D3.5] Adventuring School (4 DMs & 20 players wanted)
A few questions:
1. Are there multiple planes, and as such, Resurrection spells?
2. Multiple deities, and as such, Clerics? And if not, are there Clerics to God and Satan?
3. Official hombrewed rules for the steampunk-esque vehicles that we'll probably encounter?

No steampunk actually I'm trying to keep my world realistic sort of. There are just monsters in this world. The only airship are zepellins. Yes there are multiple planes Galileo discovered them (because it sound awesome and right) Yeah we've got clerics and the gods.

I'll love to know how Galileo discovered the planes, as well as the nature of the planes themselves.
I fail to see how it sounds "right and awesome," so a bit of detail on the discovery may be helpful.
