[D&D 4E] Adventures in the Nentir Vale (OOC)

I forgot to ask whose going to be the party face? The role doesn't give any real power it's just the person who'll relay party decisions to me IC.

In addition I would like the PC's to use some kind of avatar whether they are OotS or some kind of token to represent your character for battle maps. If you don't have an image that you want to use you can request one in the Arts & Crafts thread. If you don't want to go that route I'll try to think of something.

I've been working to finish up the google spreadsheet that will hold all of the team info. Here's the link. Please bookmark or favorite the page. Also if everyone could subscribe to the IC and OOC threads so you'll always be up to date that would be great.

I will move things along once Selinia gets a post up. Also Selinia I noticed that you only have shurikens and no basic equipment, armor, or a melee weapon. Just wanted to let you know just in case before we get into combat.

Another note could people please post their wish lists and for those that haven't let me know what you've decided regarding an avatar.

Gah, sorry about the item mix-up. They were accounted for in stats, forgot that I hadn't put them in the little equipment box yet. Fixed.

Quite understandable it's been pretty hectic for me as well. You avatar is just fine. When you get a chance could you please review google spreadsheet to ensure I got all of Matilda's information correct.

The spreadsheet looks all good. I'll get a magic item wishlist up in the... near future. I admit, I've always been terrible at magic item selection, but I'm sure I'll dredge some nice stuff out of the books.

I finally got around to posting my outline for the game in the intro post. I also wanted to know how you all felt about me making all initiative rolls so I could get encounters up faster.

Picture: This is the one I used in the character builder. It's not exactly what I had in mind for him, but it'll do.



Initiative: Yeah, you've got my thumbs up to make the roll.

Wishlist: I'll try to get one together sometime tomorrow. I'm assuming you want a list of a handful of items in the level 1-5 range or so.

I think that covers everything.

Spreadsheet: The stats all look good to me. Since you're tracking things like action points and surges, do you also want to track power points for Rolan and Eldon?

Initiative: I think having you do initiative rolls makes sense. That's what I do when I DM in PBP.

Wishlist: I'll get back to you on that soon. Off-hand the top of my list will probably be some sort of magic cloth armor.

Okay I got a chance to at least get a small wishlist together. I'll try to add a little more when I have some time.

(#1) Shimmering Armor: +1 AC, Don't provoke opportunity attacks when making ranged or area attacks
(#2) Orb of Unlucky Exchanges: +1 to attack and damage rolls, +1d6 on crit, Daily (Free): On a hit, remove a status from you or ally and target then gains status
(#3) Cloak of the Walking Wounded: +1 Fort, Reflex, Will, When you use Second Wind you can spend 2 healing surges and regain HP for each

I have power point usage on combat maps but if you want I can add it to the character spreadsheet.

I just asked because if we place our characters as our turn comes around, the first characters are likely to get mobbed by the wolves for lack of targets.

I wouldn't do that! Plus all the ground where the wolves are is difficult terrain.

Matilda will start in N12, I think. I'm inclined to focus on the lone wolf up north right now - I don't fancy taking a dive into a pile of wolves who will all go before our meatshields get into the fray.

Scratch that, dark and light green are both difficult terrain. Misread that. Matti will start in L13 instead. No point in going after a wolf that we can't reach in the turn.

EditEdit: By the way, Hircine, do you prefer us to do our combat rolling IC, or would you rather it happen OOC and keep the IC for the fluff descriptions?

remember that With Ardent Strike your are Divine Sanctioning the target which is not a normal mark.

Divine Sanction
Until the mark ends, the target takes radiant damage equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier the first time each round it makes an attack that doesn’t include you as a target.

--there is no -2 to attack any target but Arthur, just damage done if an attack is declared.
