All right at this point you've gained three success', however before we can move on to the final part of the skill challenge I still need two nature checks.

When is the last time we've heard from Selinia? I know she said she was going to be gone for a few weeks, but I think it's been nearly a month now since she's posted.

I received a message from Selinia on the 3rd that she was back and would post in thread as soon as possible. I'll shoot another PM to see if she will still be returning.

Currently the skill challenge stands at 3 successes/2 failures. Which means each of you will have to pass the DC 10 Athletics to succeed.

Anything better than a 1 and Eldon would have succeeded, so of course I rolled a 1.

Just a heads up, my internet access will be pretty limited starting tomorrow through the weekend as I will be attending GenCon and will be no where near a PC for most to all of that time.

No, but you should take into account that you all just recently were swimming in a cold river and you're all still soaking wet.

I'd love to warm our guys up, but I get the feeling that starting a fire close to hordes of goblins might be a bad idea. Anyone have any ideas?

We've made it to the slums right? So we could just go into on of the houses and wait in there to dry out, or black one of them out and start a fire?

You're near one of the abandoned farmsteads on the outskirts of town. A small fire can be made without attracting the attention of the goblins.

Extremely bad news. Caleb has informed me he will be unable to continue with the game and I haven't heard back from Selinia yet so it looks like I'll have to post a recruitment thread to look for replacements.

Wow. We just aren't having much luck at all. Hopefully a couple new recruits will stabilize the group.

I've posting a recruitment thread and hope to get things going again by next week. I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on who we bring in.

Bummer, yeah we aren't having the greatest luck. So right now we have, a Psion (Controller), an Ardent (Leader), and a Fighter (Defender). Well we'll probably be seeing a lot of Striker class submissions.

Striker submissions wouldn't be a bad thing really. Without one, our battles would probably drag on forever. Even adding two strikers wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Edit: Actually, I had another question. As I was going back to review what we've got in the party right now by looking at current character sheets, I noticed you had posted a sheet for a sorceror as an alternate. Have you contacted him? It seems like if you went to the trouble to name an alternate, he ought to get one of the spots if he's still interested. Then we could pick another from the list above as a second recruit. Or if he's not interested, then just pick two from above. I just know if I'd been named an alternate and an opening came up, I'd want to be contacted.

Here's my thinking if we decide to bring on another.

None of the submissions were really bad, but I also didn't see any that were shouting at me to pick them either. So I guess I'll fall back to party composition to make the call.

Considering our current party make-up, especially with the addition of a drow sorceror, I don't really see us needing another ranged arcanist sort of character which eliminates 3 of the options already in my mind.

Of the other two, I think I have a slight preference for the goliath warden. I can't put my finger on any specific reasons why, so if others want the drow rogue I could easily go with him too.

Okay, I can easily come up with a melee striker if it fits the party better. How about an Avenger?
