I may not be very active tomorrow, may be the whole day outside and the afternoon at university, so I may be answering later or would try to pop in for bits if I can

Purity, I think I'm going to send Tyrol/Lemongrass to dig Obsidian Flare out of stasis. But first, could you PM me what could be fairly expected to be gotten out of an official reply from the historians back in Canterlot?
Might drag Snowflake/Luka/whoever else interested to come along.

We've got two very young ponies dead, and one with their brains all over the engineer. The engineer who feels personally responsible for this whole thing. At this point, I'm starting to get concerned over whether or not Sandy can conceivably recover emotionally from this fight. I know that this is a battle, and bad stuff can easily happen. If you're trying to do something with Daniel regarding his binary "kill/no kill" attitude, I can respect that, and I'll try and work something out with Sandy. But if you're not, could you maybe consider having Daniel not try the second stake if the pegasus buck collapses after Daniel pounces on him? I mean, if he lands anyway, then the second stake isn't needed. Heck, most of the vamponies so far have been incapped by a single stake in them, and Daniel went and pegged him the neck.
Again, not trying to tell you how to play your characters, just getting a mite concerned about Sandy's future, and thinking that the second stake might not have been needed. If you stand by your decision, I'll respect it and try to work something out. Perhaps HalfTangible's therapist will finally have something to do.

The problem there is I don't entirely know what could be expected. I'll just have to wing it a bit and keep it as neutral as possible.
Your message will come eventually, once I've got this little block figured out.

I can executive-veto the second stake, yeah, though I'll note that the neck-strike killing him is very unlikely.
Also, I don't mind your concerns. Sir Killsalot himself is shaken, as well, so I can relate to your dilemma, if not to the same extent.

Yes I do want to
He doesn't know much about Obsidian Flare though

Thanks for reconsidering. And yeah, I didn't mean the neck-strike would kill him, just that it would put him out of the fight while his body goes "Rawr! Wood! Getitoutgetitoutgetitoutgetitout!"

I foresee many months of angst between Sandy and Silverpine over this. Much angst indeed. *nod*
@Purity If you like, we can wing it over PM. It need not be a solo effort.

Yeah...that whole "Silverpine thinks Sandy is HPK-ing it up with Gear" has nothing on this. So many layers of drama and misunderstanding to be had, it should be interesting to play out. I just hope they can get to a somewhat happy ending.
This whole battle ended up having far more long-term consequences than I expected, and we aren't even done with the adventure yet. To be fair, I always knew that Sandy was far too optimistic for this world, and one day something like this would come along. And I think I can work this into the plans I already had for him. Just accelerates a few things.

Let's see where this path leads. Just know that Silverpine's priorities is first and foremost his friends, ideals be damned.

1. Who controls the Captain of the Guard for Bridle Shores?
2. How easy would it be for Starbeam to walk in and get an audience when she arrives?

Creepy, rather disturbing, and makes me think that poor pony should get a restraining order on Lone Star.
So all told, a good job.
Lone Star's effectively banned in four countries for murder, arson and indecent conduct. Not because of the country itself, but because THAT many ponies have filed- nah, that's stupid
LS isn't a terrible guy (usually, anyway) but he's insane enough that he's not going to behave as a pony should at all times. The smell of cooking flesh has absolutely NO reason to smell good to a herbivore. Let alone the flesh of your own species.
