This is what happens when I let my red d20 determine fate. 2-19 was simple failure, 1 was to be a disastrous failure to make it worse, like her thrallness was going to be extra reenforced, 20.....yea...xD...err..I...I have no words anymore.
I may have to report your failure to abide by the DM Guidelines.
Article II, Section 4a-b: "a. Keep track of the dice and test them for cursed behavior regularly.
b. When an important DM roll comes up, always used a cursed die"

Oh, but it is a partially cursed dice, my fellow players in rl will vouch for it.
My red d20 dice were the dice that accidentally created a plague back at level eight that would then return at full force infecting the whole world ten levels later.
News!:
I'll be back tomorrow! I've gotten through my issues...for now at least!
And on the subject of cursed dice...:
I have a pair of small d6s that are green with the numerical values being green. We called them the Hulk Dice.
Basically, this is what happened with them:
My players who used them always got incredibly low rolls, but I always got incredibly high ones. To this day I use them for my card games to determine who goes first, and I have always won the roll to go first when me and my opponent roll them.
No idea why we called them and still call them Hulk Dice though.

Well. Now we know their ship has been blessed by the dice gods.

1. Purity, I think I'm waiting on you to continue the underground scene. Retaliatory nuclear magics ahoy!
2. Benson/Luka/Grif, At this point in time, Starbeam is on teleportory route to Bridle Shores, so if her appearance is acceptable presently, let me know when. If not, you don't have to worry!

Just a heads-up, but I will be heading back to college tomorrow morning. No telling when I'll get my computer and everything hooked up, but I should be back online sometime in the evening.

Mmm, if the giant arrow..bolt thing, I like the idea of it as one big ol' skewer maybe snagging 2-3 enemies. In the future, I'll set up a real proper opportunity for a flashy move like that.
Sorry for slow posting, got university math exams and got to study.
I'll try to post at random bits, just pointing out my posts could get delayed, sorry

^Yeah, that's kinda what I though the field looked like, orders for nonlethal or not.
On a side note with that, I don't have an inherant problem with Daniel going overboard. Just know that, when all is said and done, he'll probably be getting a ton of flak from Sandy. In the, "If the Cap'n would let me I'd reprogram the defense cannons for 'doofus bard' and not lose any sleep" level of flak.

Daniel's mindset right now is 'As of this moment, I could care less if anyone is pissed, as long as we survive'. This is the second time we've faced down with 'civilians' who, oh by the way, are now soulless undead abominations under the control of an insane overlord who would not hesitate to kill us all. Daniel is officially done giving anyone the benefit of the doubt, and is focusing on getting the team out alive. As for the vampires, well, terribly sorry, lads.
Not to mention, he didn't actually prepare for a nonlethal engagement. All of his gear and training is set up for kills, and in the heat of battle, it's damn hard to focus on purpose over instinct.
"If you ever get jumped by a rampaging alligator, you want me to just go ahead and let that eat you, too?" Is essentially what his response would be. Not saying it's logical or right (I know I have problems with it) but this is how the character would react in a given situation, and I'd rather stick with Daniel Jovus than suddenly play a Shaolin Monk.
@Benson: The KO was aimed at FPS.
Aaaand now back to rainbows and sunshine!

No, not really rainbows and sunshine. For one, he was not near FPS to do that move. He would have to dodge a bench and make a move to get over there first, not to mention the vamp is down for the count already.
Are you referring to the one where my response was;
Quote:
It's a good thing that Daniel is A) so nimble and B) found a solid surface to stand in front of earlier. He twists and runs up it to avoid the worst of the rubble, and lands as close to the Downer as possible, rolling for good measure, ready to cut his head off with one swift movement next turn.
or the nowhere-throwing-was-mentioned;
Quote:
he dropped the bench he was holding up that Stone Shifter had been helping with, and dropped it right in front of him and vampony super jumped back over with Stone Shifter at the center of the stone pews.

Okay, that logic makes sense and all. The problem I'm having is that, to use the alligator analogy, why would he go and kill the alligator with three legs gone and his jaw tied shut rather than one of the many other alligators that are actively trying to bite our flanks off? It's less whether or not he's a Shaolin Monk, it's more that there were bigger threats to go after, and his logic (to me) says that he'd go after those bigger threats to ensure that everypony got out alive.
After the fight, I'd totally see him try to kill them off for good if nopony stopped him, but that's only after they've all been incapacitated.
I'm not trying to specifically go after you because you're doing disagreeable things. Far from it, RPs like this thrive on inter-character conflict caused by such actions. It's just that I don't quite see the logic as you stated matching up with his actions.
