Question: How does death work here? Death plays a pivotal role in The Old Kingdom books, (from which I was thinking of taking my next character), and it manifests as a giant 9-tiered river that flows straight in one direction with waterfalls between tiers, and I or another necromancer can walk into it without dying, to seize souls floating down it to use as zombies. Its supposed to be the farther down you go the stronger and less human the spirits get, until you hit the 9th tier, where the Greater Dead hang around, waiting for their chance to move "onward" Would "onward" in this case just be one of the hells/heavens? or would this only affect people from the Old Kingdom books?

Sending people with that Bell of yours would introduce them to the kinds of death that you mentioned, yes.
Death kind of works like, if our players die somehow, they just die. They would go to Hell, Heaven, Limbo, Paradise, etcetera. We might just have to wait and role play it out if it happens. Rest assured that it could be possible that if a player character died their souls would become like Magicite, from Final Fantasy VI, and another player character could use this Faux-Magicite to use them as if they were extra souls. I haven't thought about that much though, in fact I kind of just made it up, but it sounds like it could be a good idea.
What about ghosts?
Harry Potter ghosts are the imprints of souls that have passed on, do they exist, if so what powers do they have?
Also DP ghosts are what happens when one dies (or dies horribly)
If I die, would I become full-ghost? (That is actually an unsolved question in the cartoon that is brought up a coupe times)
If I do, what happens to the other soul's powers? Do they become ghost-approximations?

Ok, I wouldn't be introducing this other character I have, then. He's a really powerful necromancer, but that doesn't work unless you have souls, and powerful ones at that. And we don't have time to kill someone and wait until they hit the 9th gate in order to bring them back as a powerful Dead Hand. I'll think of something. Something white-knighty...

Hmmm I don't know about becoming a full-ghost.
Hm... I don't know. :/
Edit: Looking at Deadpool, mostly to make sure I am well and truely able to fight for days, and partially for the mellee and regenerating abilities. (And nicely, immune to mental manipulation, not just highly resistant to it).
Question though, Deadpool is often seen 'leaning on the fourth wall'. Is this just going to be him being a insane guy with lucky guesses (In which case, I may have him say to a member that they act like this is a game on one of there forums) or something more.
To avoid harming the sanity of the DM I can no longer:
* Cast flesh to stone on a annoying Druid
** Cast Rock to mud on a Druid statue
*** Scoop mud into little ceramic pots
**** Plant tree's in individual ceramic pots
***** Claim that I have helped them become one with nature

Dammit, NM###### (can I just call you "Dragonface"?), you brought up Gilgy and got me all exited! Then you went with Dio, made me giggle for a moment ("ZA WARUDO!!!!"), and made me sad.
That said, by Rei this is tough. A character that I like, feel fairly comfortable RPing, with something to offer that'll help in this crazed arms race....aaaah, I hate doing this.

Will Stanton (The Dark is Rising Sequence) [wisdom; subtlety; magic]
Lirael Clayr (The Old Kingdom trilogy) [anti-necromancy; swordfighting; magic]
Eridan Ampora (Homestuck Act 5 Act 2: Hivebent) [epic magic science]
Kimiko Ross (Dresden Codak) [hyper-robotics; cybernetics] Eleanor Lamb (Bioshock 2) [massive reserves of gene-altering Adam]
Age: 16 years Sex/Gender: Male
Basically, Eleanor brings Adam to the table, gene-altering tonic that will make me faster, tougher, stronger, and give certain pseudo-magic abilities. In a package deal with Eleanor's Little Sister status, I don't go crazy with an addiction for the stuff. I also have a slug sitting in my upper intestines and glowing yellow eyes, but that's besides the point.

Name: Alexander Idrian Username: 3SecondCultist Previous Incarnations:
Spoiler
- Legato Bluesummers (the crazy, nihilistic villain from Trigun anime)
- The Lord Ruler (tyrannical dictator/Anti-villain chessmaster from the Mistborn series)
- Kvothe (the hero of the Kingkiller Chronicles, AKA the Name of the Wind franchise)
- Gabriel Grey/Sylar (superpowered serial killer/heel-face revolving door from Heroes)
- Dante (extremely old and powerful alchemist from the Full Metal Alchemist anime)
Age: 34 Gender: Male
Powers:
Spoiler
- Long range telepathy. This also includes the ability to manipulate the brain at closer range, in order to override both basic bodily functions and short term memory. [Legato]
- Allomancy. The ability to ingest solutions of metal and use them to fuel pseudo-magical abilities such as enhanced combat durability, magnetic propulsion, and emotional manipulation. [Lord Ruler]
- Feruchemy. While an Allomancer burns metal to gain power, a Feruchemist can use these sames metals as holding units, or minds, to store up their own power. Basically, depending on the metal, a Feruchemist can become worse at something in exchange to be equally better in the future. [Lord Ruler]
- Naming. Naming is a discipline where one perceives the True Name (often referred to simply as Name) of a person, place or thing and by perceiving this Name the namer can control it. [Kvothe]
- Intuitive Aptitude. This is the ability to understand the structure and operation of complex systems without special education or training. However, it also compels the holder to understand as much as they can, resulting in a "hunger" which can manifest a need to understand more. This also comes with a long list of other powers that Sylar has acquired.
-Alchemy. This ability uses soul energy from the Prime Material and allows the user to transmute any matter into other matter by breaking it down on a molecular level and rebuilding it. It can also be used to utterly destroy, by leaving out the last step, but has a range of touch. [Dante]
Abilities acquired through Intuitive Aptitude:
Spoiler
- Telekinesis (short range)
- Rapid cell regeneration (basically an instantaneous healing factor, with a built-in vulnerable point. This includes severed limbs.)
- Alchemy (can turn anything he touches into gold)
- Clairsentience (The ability to perceive the history of an object or person by touching it.)
- Sound manipulation
- Electric manipulation
- Lie detection
- Imprinting (mentally marking pages)
- Shape-shifting (humans only)
- Disintegration
- Flight
- Empathy (The ability to feel the emotions, thoughts, hopes, desires, and dreams of others.)
Equipment:
Spoiler
- An allomantic laboratory in Sigil, separate from the main headquarters. The solutions required for Allomancy, especially the alloys like steel or nicrosil, require finesse and experimentation to create. Permanent dwelling included.
- The sword called Caesura, from the Name of the Wind franchise. It is nigh indestructible and remains in perfect condition, but does not confer any other bonuses to the wielder.

Gilgamesh was rather ignored by Armin, so I thought that there might be something wrong there, hence why it was quietly dropped.
There would be some excellent character interaction if Gilgamesh were accepted...
Also, I would prefer not to be referred to as "Dragonface".

mkfuba07: You mentioned Knights of the Round earlier, and teh possibility of them becoming autonomous later on. How exactly would that work?

Emphasis mine. So I was re-reading the thread, and I came across this little tidbit. Now, John Taylor is the son of Lilith in the Nightside books, and she is described as the "first woman" created, or something of that nature. Rather similar to the NGE description. Now, if this is true (and if these two dimensions coexist at all), then Rei (and by extension AkaiNeko) is in fact Taylor's (and by extension my) sister. Thought for food...
Morcleon: I'm pretty sure they aren't really analogous. Symbolism and such aside, NGE's Lilith is....rather different from teh traditional one. And honestly, if Armin rules differently, Rei is no stranger to weird relationships; depending on how you interpret some things, she's teh main character's mother something like 2.5 times over, and his kinda-half sister. And a love interest.
DoctorFaust: Howl's last name is Pendragon, right? What are teh odds that that's legit, and from there, what are teh odds that it matters?
NM######: Darn. I don't feel like memorizing that number right now.

Everyone, from now on, including now, show me links to your proposed Reincarnations or PM me about them. :)
Here's a link to Mal's page. And AkaiNeko, thats not his real name, but it's more dramatic than his real one and it's the one he goes by in the books and movie.

Just in case you didn't know, Knights of the Round is a summon materia in FFVII. I was just saying that at some point, I don't see it as too absurd for the spell to actually summon the 13 knights to do his bidding, alongside the other summons, instead of simply doing their signature single attack against a single person.
