I agree with healing as a 10+Mag. But yes, attacking with a heal staff should be like, Mt of 1 or 2, depending on whether or not it affects Resistance.
Also, if something is in "zombification" status, a heal staff would work as normal, yes?

Why don't you divide staff mt by 1.5/2 (and make RES reduce damage) and use staff acr%? Maybe reduce the scaling of MAG on ACR%, something like:
150 target ACR at 30MAG/30SKL; base 60%
ACR% = 60+2*mag+skl - enemy res*3
Then you divide mt by 1.5 (heal) and 2.0 (mend) and reduced by RES, so your heal staff becomes a 6mt tome and the mend staff becomes a 10mt tome (both of which are less accurate than normal tomes).
Edit: healing stays as normal, this is just for the theoretical weaponization of healing staves
... Keep the regular formula for status (ranged) staves I guess. Not sure exactly what to do with Psychic, but oh well.
Sorry the updating took so long. The Tiled file for Map 2 broke because I had to wipe my hard drive (all the other files are safe, don't worry), and the directory where the tileset is broke. So the map looks a bit different because I had to remake it and stuff.
This is the new map: same spawn rules and stuff.
Also, you can use this as the official "Battle Preparations" screen.
Spoiler
@Staff stuff: Sure, let's go with that. A Physic Staff used to attack will essentially be a Berserk staff that does damage.

After each Map in which you choose to deploy The Toshi Brigade (chosen at start of the map), each member gains five Stat points, assigned and allotted by player consensus. They'll die permanently if they fall (PCs will only die permanently if they Turn into Zombies), but in exchange for not leveling them up, you can add a member to the Brigade, at the current level. You can also Trade Stat points to get them new Tomes- 1 for an E Tome, 5 for an A Tome. I'm not sure how they get them... let's just say they make the tomes from scavenged pieces of paper they find, and imbue them with magic in some ritual or other.
And yes, you can trade with them for Tomes if you want.
Let's buff them up then. It doesn't hurt too bad to lose a map's worth of gold/tomes (earth only OTL) and they give US exp when they kill things, so I instantly like them a lot more than I first did. Besides there're no shops that I can see, so probably not a good idea yet to go full on gold-farming.
Edit: what do you guys think: spd/def/res mix, or more killy?
I'm still unsure as to what those 9-panel brown circle areas are, but I suspect that we'll find out soon enough.
Otherwise... what a huge level for Adel, everything but speed!

In this game, it has been mentioned multiple times that survival is going to be more important than killing things. So I'd say spd/def/res is the way to go.

And you got Skill twice!

Yeah give them Spd, Def, and Res.
@Penguinator. Florence Nightingale effect, I guess
Okay back to the Toshii guys, they get 5 stat points, right?
1(2?)HP/1SPD/1LCK/1DEF/1RES until ~10LCK and then we'll switch over to focusing on DEF/SPD/LCK or DEF/RES and farming gold.
I want to get them a bit of HP right away, since it sees a lot of use due to the buff mechanic in this game (even if it isn't a very strong stat) but I think that we'll be okay once it's in the mid 20s range.

Odd Numbered arrow units have Short Bows, while Evens have Iron.
For the other enemy units, Odd-numbers have the Iron [Weapon], and Even numbers have whatever ranged weapon (Boomerang, Javelin, Hand Axe) is appropriate.

Didn't know the maps were so dark. I'll upload a brighter one tomorrow (well, today, as it's quarter to 5 right now). Wish I could help you identify them, but I'm on a tablet.

We're probably going to cut straight up (through the forest) right away and try to kill the closest group of enemies real fast starting on turn #2 and then just follow the path to the end. There's no way we're going to beat the cavalry to the end (since they have a non-forested path to follow) and wyverns/pegassi ignore terrain penalties anyways.
I expect either a lot of reinforcements in the top-right corner when we reach the upper half of the map, or that it's the site of a 'secret' (meaning that we walk over and assuming that there are some on this map). That's my approach to this map, until something terrible/unexpected happens anyways.
I'm in favor of killing zombies.
I think I'm at a disadvantage against the mages though. I'll have to double check that.
Are we going to deploy the toshi brigade this time around?
