'Hi ho, hi ho, to kill a witch we go!' *whistle tune*

Ralasha has elected to withdraw from the game, effective immediately. Her character will be leaving the group once back at the village, and in the meantime I'll run her in a fairly nondescript manner. Votes on whether I should open recruitment for one more player are now open.
Bonivant: Unless I'm missing something, the range of Premonition is 5 metres.

Charles has now obviously revealed his secret to the party, at least to some degree. Though there probably isn't any sort of glow to the healing spell, the fact that Charles uttered some odd words and made some gestures and suddenly Barclyffe is feeling better is a good sign that something strange is going on. The others are obviously going to be shocked to varying degrees, though I expect you to resolve the issue peacefully in some way. Taking Charles back to stand trial is ok with me, provided Christopher Loh agrees to it. If not, please find some other way to resolve the issue. I obviously want it to be the hook to an adventure, not an excuse to hack away at another player. It will be a challenge for me to work it out, but I think I can put something together.
Meanwhile, there are more pressing issues. For those with a ranged weapon or spell at hand, there is just time to get a shot at one of the fleeing figures, in case that wasn't clear.
Actually, Barclyffe considered that it was a miracle, not a spell, and was the result of God not a person using magick.... at least until something obviously involving sorcery occurs.
Charles uttered a prayer to God to help me, and miraculously God answered.
Nice quiet day for me today, so hopefully Bonivant posts soon so we can move along. As there is not much for him to do except make a shot at one of the ambushers with his bow or just interact, I might just continue if he hasn't posted in a few hours.

Oh, and we are now squish heavy.
Barbarian
Assassin
Mystic
Sorcerer
If another player can be found to play a knight, I'm all for it.
So, considering that you used my dice rolling method for the new guys, but we were stuck with 3d6 all the way (though we could choose where to put them), can we get a reroll? Or a couple points? to balance it out?
All right, only fair, I suppose. You can have 4 points to assign to one stat, but you can't raise a stat above 13. That's enough to give each player a bonus to one stat except Charles, who already has all stats except Looks at 13 or above. Don't forget to recalculate any derived stats.
13 might seem like a low limit, but don't forget that the next step in bonuses begins at 16. So it's really going to affect those with an already good number of above average stats.

I'll be updating my strength from 8 to 12. It won't do a lot (increase my attack by 1), but Im more interested in it increasing my enc capacity back to the normal 10.
Sorry I've had a busy weekend. Having trouble with this server too. Doesn't update for hours and hours, then I get 20 posts at once! Doesn't post my stuff every time either!
1. I thought Ralasha wouldn't last long. All the best to her in her future endeavours.
2. I know a guy, Bulya who wants to play. I'm sure he'll play a knight. Can I refer him Boss?
3. Premonition 5m, noted.
4. Increase REF from 11 to 13 ok? for +1 DEF, +1 EVA.
The older man visibly stiffens, even though his worn metal armor restricts body language like this.
"What is there to say?" he whispered quietly, his back facing his apprentice.
"You...have no control. Your strokes are flawed. Your stance is wrong. When you swing your sword, you look like a fool. This I can accept."
Turning around, the master stares sadly at this apprentice.
"But you...you have killed Marick. I have saved you from incarceration. But I cannot teach you anymore."
"Master....please..."
"LEAVE. Leave now. Before I change my mind. Before I drag you before the executioner myself."
"But master, where do I go? I have nowhere I call home but with you, I -"
"Go to the Maiden's Vale. Start there. Start a new life, new adventures. Find a new master if you must."
"But you are the only master-"
"GODDAMMIT. LEAVE BEFORE I KILL YOU RIGHT NOW."
The apprentice winced, and quickly walked away, stealing glances at the crying old man. But who could blame the swordsmaster? His son has been killed by his apprentice is a friendly bout gone wrong. What else was there to do?
---
It was whispered behind his back that Rayk was born cursed; his mother died upon his birth, and he suffered under his abusive father, until 9 summers later, where his dad died when his house burnt down by accident. His only close relatives were slain by goblins, and it was only the kindness of an old swordsmaster who saved his life by taking him in, and training him along with his son for decade later, when an unfortunate bout ended with the son's death. Angry and upset, the swordsmaster cast him out, with only the words of promise for another life on his lips. With a memories of pain and a heavy heart, he set out to Maiden's Vale, to seek a life he never had.
Appearance
Spoiler
Most of the time, Rayk is suited in plate armor, the dull grey sheen from constant care of the worn thing. His face is obscured by all helmet, with only a slit to see by; that suited him fine, for he did not want others to see his anguish.
The armor itself is relatively plain, and the only his shield bares the symbol of the Weeping Rose, a feature he added himself.
His scabbard is rough and scratched, and the sword within is in slightly better shape. He had not the mood to clean it properly, after all, especially since it was the weapon that was once drenched in the blood of the son.
Beneath the armor, he is a stocky, well-muscled man, with a chiseled face complete with strong blue eyes and blond, tousled hair.
I wouldn't have any objections to Bulya joining, but we now have enough players. Perhaps later if somebody drops out. At least in the cases where we need a Knight or Barbarian, though, I prefer to recruit from here, it brings new players to the game that way.
