Sorry I've had a busy weekend. Having trouble with this server too. Doesn't update for hours and hours, then I get 20 posts at once! Doesn't post my stuff every time either!.
Welcome to GitP O.o, though it is better than what it once was.
I have stopped relying on the subscription emails, and instead check the subscription threads under Quick Links above.
Professional Skills:
Armour Expert (p26)
Ride Warhorse (p26)
Track (p63)
Equipment: Lantern, Flint and Tinder, Backpack.
Spoiler
Background:
Sir Guylan looks every bit the knight-errant; his armour is polished to a high sheen and is formed in the latest Chaubrettan fashion. He composes poetry and sonnets as he eats wild strawberrys and expouses philosophy from beneath a shining mane of auburn locks.
He keeps his beard trimmed short, " as is the latest fashion at he Kings court", and his manners are impeccable....it is entirely a sham.
Sir Guylan is indeed a knight of Chaubrette and his family quite highly placed; he had sailed through life relying on his devastating looks and impressive skill with a blade. And both had served him well....but there are some things that one cannot get away with and impregnating both the bishops mistress and his daughter is one of those things.
If asked Sir Guylan is in Albion " To perform deeds of daring and grace so to be worthy of the hand of his betrothed back home" in truth there is a price on his head in Chaubrette that would tempt the most peaceful soul.
Good work, and welcome aboard, Vesth and DamianMay. You'll be starting with 0 experience, though you can have the 1 point that the others already have. That goes for Rourke's character also.
Would you mind putting your sheet under spoilers, DamianMay? I'd prefer separate sections, one for background and one for stats. Just put the relevant text between [ spoiler ] and [ /spoiler ], removing the spaces as you did for the dice rolls.
If our current players would kindly get a move on, I'll be able to introduce you both very shortly.
By the way, I couldn't help but notice your name in the credits for several Magnum Opus DW books. I don't mind having players a lot more experienced and knowledgeable than me, just so long as it was made clear to you that this is a first-time effort for me.

Yep, figured I should use my real name instead of my usual handle - Bulya.
I'm just thankful for a chance to play, I'm usually stuck GMing. :-)

The one point? We can add one point to our ability score?
Instead of waiting for everyone to post IC before you respond, post when you feel that it is appropriate. Sometimes players don't have a reason to post an update to something and are just happy to mull along with the group until something happens.
This will keep momentum in the game.
It also allows for player 1 to post something, you to reply and player 2 to post in response to your response to player 1. It makes the game a little more dynamic and gives it more of the feel you get with regular PnP gaming.
Of course, it's up to you at the end of the day, and not a criticism, just an observation of PbP games (I'm running 3 over on RPOL atm, well 5 really since one of those games is 3 games in one), and I feel that offers very good results.
With the aid of the rope, anyone can make the climb without falling. As an aside, if you're making a roll against one of your stats, could you please post the value of that stat as well? Much obliged.
Grail: I'm not waiting for everyone to take their turn, I'm waiting for somebody to make a move onwards. There are at least two obvious options. Once the rope was tied, everyone was at the top as far as I was concerned.

In the coming weeks, my posts might dry up a bit. I will possibly be relieving in a higher duty role (massive project) for 5 weeks. During this time, I won't be able to be as free and easy with my time at work.
Rayk Morrow and Sir Guylan of Champois are now present and free to take action, though they might need a minute or two to recover from the shock. And Sir Guylan really needs a trim, that wild beard just doesn't suit him.

If anyone is really eager to bury Boudicca (or not bury her), they'd better continue to make their case. Otherwise we'll move on when I get a chance to write a post later today.
I have a question for you all. I have the published adventure which is supposed to lead on from this one. I also have an adventure idea which is swishing around in my head. It's not finished yet, but I have a good idea of what I want to do with it. The published adventure is obviously a known quantity, but I haven't written an adventure before, so I won't be offended if people want to go with the published adventure rather than what I have in mind.
"I only knew Boudicca for a short while, but I am sure she would be appalled to think she was the reason for any delay or even the failure of our mission!"
Brother Cedric offers his own prayer the warrior befor speaking to Brother Charles in Bacchile.
Spoiler
"If the roles were reversed, I feel she would have no hesitation in leaving any of us in a ditch to rot!"
I am wondering the same thing. Also, I would be fine with either the published adventure (which I have never read) or the one that you're thinking of. Go with whatever you think is best, I suppose.
