Oh, and as for the adventure to run after this one, run whatever you feel comfortable running. I haven't played Dragon Warriors since the paperbacks were new, so it's been a long time. I cannot remember anything about the published adventures, though I'm sure some of our other members know them inside out, but are mature enough to separate player from character knowledge, so it comes down to you.
All right, that seems to be the consensus, so I'll see how prepared I am with the one I'm writing by the time this one finishes. If I don't feel it's polished enough, I'll continue working on it and run the published adventure first.
Edit: Rourke, have you posted your character sheet in this thread? I can't find it, and the table in the OP links to the sheet in the original recruitment thread. If you haven't, please post it in here now and I'll change the link.

I guess I haven't. Here it is then:
I'm thinking my character (let's call him... Ruarc) is a Barbarian (from Thuland, I think) who is absolutely fascinated with magic and the True Faith. Magic was exposed to him through a wandering sorcerer who once preformed at his old lord's hall for room and gold, and a missionary told him of the True Faith, and agreed to take the warrior on a ship with him back to Albion. After wandering about only the coast for a while, he came to find Lord Osbeorn, and remembering the missionary giving mention of him, promptly swore to serve, hoping to gain wondrous insight. In this regard, Osbeorn is, to be frank (pun not intended), rather disappointing, but an oath is an oath, and Osbeorn has been a kind enough ruler, and for that he has Ruarc's respect and loyalty.
I have read nearly everything ever published by Magnus Opus, but that doesn't really matter. The setting and atmosphere of Legend is what is most important to me.
You're referring to the rolls that Bonivant is making? No, they're Mystic specific abilities. At Cedric's rank, he can attempt to sense danger in a short radius (it sometimes works), and attempt to sense whether there are intelligent or animal thoughts around him other than his comrades (it rarely works). He also has a few spells, such as the one he has on permanently at the moment, allowing him to sense permanent (but not temporary) enchantments.
To avoid everyone going to the effort of testing whether they could move, I did post earlier that everyone found they couldn't move when they noticed the first couple of people couldn't.
Does the quickstart have anything on thrown daggers? If not, basically just make an attack roll, showing your attack skill of course, and I'll do the rest.

You take your enemy's Defence from your Attack. Whatever is left is what you need to roll on or under to hit. Ranged attacks are a little different, you instead just need to roll on or under your Attack skill, but then modifiers are added or taken away from your roll depending on things like lighting, speed and size of target, and so forth.
A puppet needs no to-hit roll, unless it's a ranged attack.

A little information that might interest our good men of the cloth:
Charles and Cedric
Spoiler
The official Church stance is that any non-divine supernatural events and beings are related to the Devil and Hell. The pagans disagree on this point, but as devil-worshippers, they probably would claim that for the purpose of misdirection.
Charles
Spoiler
In your unusual studies into the supernatural, you have heard that those who question supernatural beings on their origins find that the Fae and the Hellspawn both usually claim to be from different planes of existence to each other.

Why would you be dead soon?
You worried about some PvP for sticking up for the gobbo? It'd have to be proven beyond a doubt that you're a baddie for me to attack you, and I'd assume it'd be the same for the others.
Saying that, if I do attack you, it'll be whilst your asleep.
Chivalry and honour is for the arrogant and the foolhardy. Barclyffe is far more pragmatic than that.

Well Guylan has certainly got arrogant covered, foolhardy not as much as it might seem. :)
Although I'm fairly sure at some point during the final battle there may be a mysterious burst of Dragonsbreath in Sir Guylans direction. :D
This is not really a PvP game, so unless someone is quitting and they want a dramatic exit, I don't really want PCs killing each other. That said, I think a nice bit of drama would be an actual fight, though not to the death. Some prior thought and discussion would have to go into it, as well as maturity, as we've already seen.

I think we'll need rules on unarmed, non-lethal combat, just to beat sense into each other eventually. Not that I'm saying that we will, just that it seems like a very real possibilty right now.
