Hm, it seems that green has been taken. I suppose Dark Green will be a bit too close to that, so I'll go with Navy instead.
Oh no, you can take green if you like. I believe Keylac was offering to use it if I wanted sienna, but heavens what kind of limp cur would I be to make such a fuss. I mentioned I liked Sienna only to praise his tastefulness. Out of 147 colours ... there be plenty that aren't neon pink and don't jar against the sand in the playground.
I'm back from one job now, still working from home on the other today, but my character sheet's nearly finished. Sorry again about the rolls, I didn't intend to give everyone the impression I was a moron.

I actually already started using Green, so . You can't make me go back to Sienna!
And I didn't think you were an idiot. Mind you, I was confused by what you were doing, but that's not the same thing.
Made Post #3. As usual, please let me know if anything needs be clarified.
Also, Keylac, what they described is essentially correct in how these things work. You describe your thoughts, intentions and actions (the ones you have control over), make all the appropriate rolls, and I describe the results. Be sure to have your rolls linked to or rolled in the IC thread. As for dialogue, say anything you like to whomever you like, but I control all NPC dialogue and actions. Feel free to reiterate anything I described in a previous IC post in one of your IC posts.
And that goes for everyone. Decide what to say before ever rolling Bluff or Diplomacy or Intimidate checks, and depending on how good your dialogue, I may factor in appropriate bonuses (or rarely penalties) in resolving any social situation.
Interaction between PCs is not governed by Diplomacy, Bluff or Intimidation, however, and is completely freeform. Though I appreciate a lack of meta-gaming.
Ahahaha, I'm so far behind. I promise to never again mention colours or anything relating to colours.
Now posting some random details about character for any who care, and will be presently throwing together IC posting.
Gyl the Owl :
Spoiler
Gyl's got an unfortunate quirk in his throat that ends his call in a rasping sputter, making it sound less like 'huuu huuu' and more like 'huugk huugk', which incidentally resembles the sound Rashemi use to hail the barkeep at an inn. This, and his spontaneous lapses of disorientation led him to be called 'gyl'. And anyone who's passed through Rashemen towns can observe feasting Rashemi men slapping this term upon comrades, and roughly translate it to "idiot drunkard". But those fluent and familiar will tell you gyl is used in particular to mean "idiot drunkard who tries all night to woo the barmaid." The insult is a favourite, being a bastardization of 'gul', a word Theyans use to mean "deeply respected friend".
Also, though bound to his Druid and proven helpful, Gyl’s obedience can be spontaneously hindered by any number of distractions. Reasons for this unclear. All known remedies attempted.
Neth's Recent Undertakings & Intentions :
Spoiler
For the past few seasons Neth has made her way as an escort-for-hire with caravans of merchants or travelling families. (Guide-escort. In case you were perhaps thinking of something else.) Providing basic healing and survival support, she remains in one area until she causes some mishap in a situation that called for a rather more agile participant, or until she grows weary of the local soup.
Before leaving, Neth attempted the dreamwalk ritual to begin the dajemma, which is similar to many initiations among barbaric folk. The dreamwalk visions are meant to either reveal one's ultimate purpose, or a guardian spirit who they must frequently consult to reveal what they should do next in life. Neth did not receive said visions. An elder explained:
"Some Rashemi are cursed with the 'tikghakl', an affliction that inhibits the dreamwalk. They will be blind to their path and guide until they meet their 'umathi' which will be a particular stranger they meet somewhere who will eventually do something to unknowingly trigger the latch in the Rashemi's mind to awaken their sleepsight. The stranger and the event are impossible to forsee. Some Rashemi become better warriors afterward, but most merely seek the ability to partake in the dreamwalk so they can discover what life purpose with which they are meant to honour the Three."
Thus, Neth left. While fiercely curious to meet this random 'umathi' somewhere, and hear her supposed ultimate purpose, she is not in any hurry, and is grateful for an excuse to wander aimlessly and try new soups before Mielikki descends upon her with some elaborately orchestrated performance to command the Druid to begin farming chickens.
Goba the Clever and Turrik the Strong (the rabbit & the yak) were grazing together one morning. Goba said, "What has become of the clover blossoms? Three summers now I’ve seen no patch."
"Kyor has collected them all in his den," said Turrik.
"That cannot be," said Goba. "Snow Tigers do not eat clover."
"No," said Turrik. "But Ivlar (the raven) says he has spread them into a fine soft bed."
Goba heard this and grew annoyed. But he was clever, and so he went and covered himself in mud, and told Turrik to do the same. Together they gathered a heap of fire-nettle boughs and piled them on Turrik's back, and their hide was not stung by it because they were covered in mud. Then they went to Kyor and said, "O mighty and fearsome one, you have shamed us. Ivlar told us your bed was of clover, and we denied him saying that you were too wise and great to lay upon such filth as yaks and rabbits chew. For even the gophers of The North Country would scorn to sleep on lowly clover. We come to build you a new bed fit for a king, for yours is a nest of thorns compared to these lovely bluefeather branches we bring."
"Worthy subjects," said Kyor. "You please me well." And with an angry sweep of his paws and tail, Kyor flung the shameful clover out of his lair until the whole pile was scattered down the hill. While Turrik and Goba placed the fire-nettle, Kyor asked, "Why are you both coated with mud?"
"To mask our smell," said Goba. "So your bluefeather bed will not be tainted with the foul stench of your subjects."
Kyor was satisfied, and Goba left with Turrik, collecting the clover as they went down the hill. The next morning the mountains shook with the howling and roaring of one who is covered in fire-nettle, and the children of Goba and Turrik feasted on clover blossoms while they watched the wailing tiger gallop down the hill and launch himself off the cliffs of Mulsanyaar into the lake.
( Nearly every traveller descends from a family that at some point had its own emblem or creature sigil, even if the tradition has faded and the traveller doesn’t know it now. The Rashemi custom has not faded, though they maintain a peculiar habit. If the clan animal is by nature very powerful or superior (ie. a wolf), it is disgraceful to sing or make folklore of its praise. Rashemi win honour in contest and combat, and love to boast of hunt and battle, so it is shameful to imply prestige or dominance is automatically deserved by heritage, trade, tribe or name. The Kyor house happens to be the Snow Tiger, vain lord of the mountainlands. So to ensure all fairness, most clans have some story about how their creature tricked the Snow Tiger into eating posionweed, strolling into a boar trap, closing his eyes and sticking his head into a hollow gourd of bees, etc. Most stories somehow end with the tiger throwing himself from the Mulsanyaar cliff into the lake. The above tale was told by the Kyor themselves, to cheer up a Goba boy who'd nearly died after being accidentally trampled in the market at Immilmar. )

Key: Haha, awesome, I'm glad I you liked it. Good luck with the riding contest.
Everyone: I kind of enjoy making little bits of art & such, and I am capable of much better and more detailed things than that quick scribble sketch on my character page. Scenes, as well as characters are fun for me (like a rogue juggling for street kids who are about to get in trouble). Is there anything you can offer up to be sketched? If so, descriptions of those things would be awesome, even a certain weapon or trinket, place, face, anything you'd like. But I don't know if stuff like this interests you even a little bit at all, and if it doesn't, feel free to ignore this.

. . . in my humble opinion character interaction is the proper heart of the game anyway. And a Rashemi character is actually not particularly common, in my experience, so I'm eager to see how you'll play yours.
Ah! I'm very glad to hear this -- thank you! I guess I liked the story of Rashemen so much that I assumed it would be a very popular place to pick. I'm thoroughly enjoying all the IC posts so far. I love the awesome detailed behaviour and thoughts and everything. :) This is going to be great.

That is really, really neat. If you're up to task, I'd really like to see how you envision the performance that Perelia just put on with the Glitterdust and Light. I'm not sure if it's manageable (it's certainly beyond my own (very) modest artistic ability), but it sure looks awesome in my head.

Also, Doroga, good idea. We shall do both matches simultaneously. Initiative please! I shall make another post later tonight or late tomorrow which will include the beginning of the dirty melee.
Ryn, I hope you don't mind rolling for two combats at once? I'll keep the Dirty Melee posts seperate from any others, so that they're easy to track even with the other stuff going on. There's be 4 contestants in total, including Ryn and Doroga.
Nope, don't mind at all. For reference, here's the initiative I rolled for the Melee, back a bit.

Hey folks! Glad the campaign is spawning more creativity and collaboration.
Also, new post! This one's a laugh-riot!!!
TSM.
I'm loving where Perelia's bit is going, not the least because she's rather wanting for scrolls and new spells. She doesn't really need new spells for power/versatility/etc; it's more the fact that she wants to accumulate as many arcane spells as possible, since she's one of the few Wizards that refuses to give up any of the schools. It may mean that she can never be a Incantatrix or a Circle Magic user, but it's worth it to her if it means that she can claim to have learned every spell in the world.

That's a sound goal.

"So," she said with a genuinely warm smile to Shleb. "I suppose the others get to try their hand at matching me now, before the winner can be decided. Where should I stand in the interim?"
I love the quiet arrogance of that. Perfectly fitting for a Halruuan elf mage, especially after that performance (which was damned clever, btw).

Oh yes, I'm glad you spotted it. Perelia's not at all a bad person, but after a lifetime of wizardry she's developed quite the subtle scorn for members of shorter-lived races that practice magic. She's been doing magic for a hundred years, which is longer than most humans live. Plus, there's the fact that she's on the bottom of the magical totem pole when she's with her nominal peers; of course she's going to take the chance to strut when she can.
Loving the posts so far, guys. I just wish my rolls were as loveable.
In order to mitigate an awful Gather Information roll, Roen is willing to grease a few palms. Heck, he'll spend everything he got in the purse, if it looks like that will help; it's not like it's his anyway, and he'd be giving it back to the town, in a sense.
Wanted to tell you guys to expect another post later today, though it may not be a long one. Pretty tired from work. BUT I have a whopping 3 days off after today, so expect me to pick up the slack. I imagine in those three days we'll be able to get a ton of stuff done!
Also, I love the idea of the spell-collecting wizard as well. Very neat. Always wanted to play that myself, actually.
No worries, TSM! My work is pretty exhausting too (and low paying, but I'll take what I can get for a summer job). Congrats on the time off, though! What's the occasion?
Ola, mi amigos. Sorry about the delay on posting. As you can see it's 5:30AM! Also, I've just discovered Baldur's Gate II. When I got home from work, I had resolved to finish the post promised from earlier, but was instead compelled to complete the first dungeon in BG.
I regret this decision, and hope that one day, somehow, you can all forgive me in your own way...
Until that day, I shall post a short one now, and a longer one later tomor... today.
TSM (hangs head in shame and backs away)
EDIT: Posted. And it's slightly longer than I thought it would be. More later today, including meaningful dialogue and a double dose of violence!!!
Okay, let's see if I can actually hit him this time, eh? two more simple cuts, the first using Power Attack 4, the next not using Power Attack at all (watch, that one will crit and the first one will miss).

Apparently, I can tell the future. Though I note I rolled minimum damage on both hits this time.
I can hardly blame you, TSM; you picked up an excellent game. They just don't write RPG plots like they used to, especially now that Bioware has been eaten by EA, and in my book that's a lot more important than fancy graphics. Oh well. Enjoy, we know you won't forget us.
Keylac, if you're in any business other than the weather report or professional gambling, your prodigious talents are wasted. That made me laugh pretty hard.

Indeed they do not write plots like they used to. It's actually staggering the amount of talent games like BG and BGII had behind them, especially compared to certain more recent games that just make me want to cry myself to sleep (the console installments of the BG series, for example. Truly sad stuff).
But anyhow! Thank you for your gracious understanding of the pace TheDivineWind. Things shall pick up for you with the post that's coming in the next hour or so.
Will update when posted.
TSM
(Also, I'm not sure if Neth has mentioned this, but she's working on some pretty epic campaign art. I am very excite!)

Get to show what I can do! Well, as a lightly armored melee fighter. He'll get more impressive in 4 levels or so, and progressively more from each level onward. Otherwise he is a capable fighter with a few tricks up his sleeves!
The rules are fairly simple: No offensive or healing spells, no attacking someone when they're down, no outside help.
So, what constitutes outside help? Cause I had the great thought the other day: get on the opposite side of one of them from my horse, then call him to run the poor sod over...
Then again, I'm probably taking the "dirty" part too far, eh?
