background given in recruitment thread:
Dragons are myth and legend. Occasionally, someone will find an artifact they claim is a dragon bone, or tooth, or the scales of a dragon, but most believe these to be fabrications. Dragons are at best, an old story, and at worst, the demons from the pits of hell. Society has grown from the dark days when legend says dragons ruled entire nations, and destroyed all that stood in their way. Now an era of peace and prosperity has arisen, with the last war a distant memory, and starvation and poverty being eradicated across the continent.
However, something is brewing in the darkness. Events are lining up that are too strange to be random. First, and important ambassador is killed that was the key to changing the lasting, but brittle cease fire between Alina and Lothmas into a true treaty of peace. The dowry of precious stones and artwork sent to secure the marriage of the high houses of Thodrain and Mannathan, and with it the sovereignty of the King of Ma'dranan, is waylaid, the artwork burned and the gems stolen. Finally, a bandit force has been seen in the forests of Kilmarr, a forest claimed to be protected by the Druids of the Green Moss, of whom nobody has heard of in weeks. These events together threaten to break the continental peace.
Surreal - check out my combat tracker (in my signature, under map)
I _really_ like what you've done with the integrated map component, though I personally much prefer google drawings for combat maps (mainly because I have the inclination to use Maptools). Maps integrated into the tracker is best for Tiger if he doesn't want to use MT.
Also it's too bright! My poor retinas! Seriously though, black background + grey text is sex; my predilection due to all the desk/computer work I do.
@ Waffle: Yeah, Mythweavers is down; annoying as I had stuff to do with my FTDM game.
More than a little ironic given that I'd moved it there precisely to avoid this sort of thing.
I had planned on having him show up at the end of an anger fueled binge. With his Con score, it's quite a feat. I hadn't planned for him to be drunk that often, but that can change. This isn't going to be a normal Druid, more of an inversion of the cliches. His Wis score is because he's a wise-ass.
My sincerest apologies for the delay in posting. The luxury cabin we rented in the mountains NW of Denver were promised to have "spacious living space", "luxurious amenities", and "full internet connectivity." Instead we got "spacious living space", "luxurious amenities", and "NO internet connectivity." I am currently in a McDonald's 15 miles away. I will try to post again on Sunday and will be home late Wednesday.
Thank you for your patience.
If fighting breaks out, please feels free to take over my character as necessary.
