Spoiler Alert! I'm listing out everyone status right now, mostly for my amusemet.
Spoiler
Amy: Embraced. Surrounded by mirrors looking at her bugly new face with her sire being less than helpful.
Claire: Embraced. Just drained her first victim and is naked in the middle of an open field. How like a Gangrel she is already.
Danielle: Being assaulted by a creepy boy with a chloroform rag who used to go to her high school.
Erika: Watching soft porn on a TV and being questioned on whether she believes in monsters, and if she'll play along to a strange psychological exercise by a man who seems otherwise well in control.
Faruq: In an office with one really sexy, crazy lady. Missing a little blood already. About to do something stupid brilliant.
Rick: Battered, dying of internal injuries due to whatever-the-hell monster Harry is. Discussing his morales with a man he's never met, deciding if he's willing to live alongside monsters or die now.
Oh, and Dark Seeker, you really should have named your character something that start with a "B". Just saying...
Amy really wouldn't disdain a hug right now...or at the very least, her sire raising his eyes to look at her. Way to give her body image issues, Mike.
Also, daelrog, for our little list, we have
-the smell of paint
-full lenght mirrors
-Madonna's "justify my love" (I checked, it was a top radio hit in 1991), or Madonna's songs in general.
-lime curtains, or the colour lime in general
Not bad, for a couple posts'work

@Worlok: Faruq has about five seconds before thigns really turn ugly. He has the letter opener stuck on the wall, the door, the floor to drop to and beg for mercy, of whatever Mr. Clever can up with.
@Strawberries: Good thing that none of those will pop ever ever.
He didn't flinch when she touched him, but he didn't return the gesture. In truth it was his own shame keeping him from doing so, but his weakness was no comfort to Amy. So much for mr Perfect.
Men. All the same, can't cope with their own messes.
And Amy is a bit lost and afraid at the moment ( I figure everyone would be) but she'll revert to a deadpan snarker in no time. She needs just a little time to adjust.

There were three main things that dictated one's embrace.
-Clan
-Mentor background
-Generation
So Erica of the six probably has the most going for her. High generation, high mentor, being of Ventrue. Leads to a right formal embrace (though that depends much about her reaction).
Danielle on the other hand... let's just say things are about to get a lot more interesting for her.

Man. Had I known about that five-seconds-frame when I started typing (Almost four fricking hours ago. Curse distractions! ), I would have tried to make it shorter. Anyhow, Faruq didn't so much come up with something as grow even more desperate and go full insane. Let's see what will happen next.

Don't worry. I'll be flexible with things. Now let me check out your prelude thread to see what I have to work with...
Nope, I think we're good. 3.5 are done, 2.5 to go! Faruq just needs to feed and have a phone conversation, and Danielle needs to get a little explanation of how the way things are.
Pft.
Mentor, Hmph. Generation, heh. Clan, ha ... a vampire needs not these things.
... hopefully.
True when done properly.
I once was in a fairly high power game where high gen was expected so the ST gave normal gen extra points and built a blood mage with Principal Focus of Vitae Infusion who went around with some 30 blood points on his person at all times. Course this was a LARP where we had so much freedom to use and abuse rituals between games it wasn't even funny.
Still would not be an unreasonable starting position if the ST allows more then the baseline rituals in the game (because just one is sillllllllly) and you buy points in Herd.
All right, as we near the end of the preludes (I'm hoping to have the last two wrapped up in a day or two), we'll move onto the main thread. We'll meet each other, the Prince, and some of the other NPCs. After that, I'm going to open up the world a lot more to all of you. Some of you, given your Clans, will be expected to do tasks for your superiors, while others are pretty much told to follow the laws and have at it. Each of those with tasks will have freedom to how they go about it. Technically they can snub their elders, but... that will probably cause more problems than it's worth, probably.
As for the PCs interacting with each other, that's up to you guys. Know, that once the preludes are over, my posting rate's going to not be as much as it's been (I've had a lot of free time recently, and I know how important it is to get the start moving quickly), so interacting with each other will also help with letting you be as active as you want.
The overarching theme and goal for once you see the Prince and leave is to establish yourself in the city, and to become accepted by the other kindred. Gain wealth, do favors, eliminate an a common enemy, show a particular niche, earn respect, win against the odds. The manner and way which you do so is entirely up to you.
Oh, and to keep your humanity while you're doing it.
I must admit, the character that entertained me the most was Worlok's, for sheer craziness value. Worlok, I'm sad that you didn't decide to play a Malkavian: you would have pulled it off beautifully.

To respond to your PM Strawberries, and to address everyone, it's perfectly fine and normal if you want to switch your nature or demeanor during the story as you find out more about your character. You often find out things aobut them you didn't know, and it chances how you see them. Not only this, but it is more than acceptable for characters to change over the course of the game.
So Strawberries, that's no problem at all if that's what you feel.
@daelrog:
Speaking of Nature and Demeanor it occurred to me I never asked how flexible you are on using Nature to reclaim Willpower?
Does it have to be a "big" event for the character or if our characters have some free time can we go off and regain a point with some low level Nature affirming activity done for a few hours?
