We have a bit of a pause right now as we wait for Worlok. I'm going to go on a short vacation for 2-3 days. If I don't see a response by then, I'll move ahead. I think I only need one more post for Faruq anyways. Byron will answer all (or most) his questions, Flockton will rush Faruq in, telling him to save it for the next night, then we're done.
For the rest of you, nine experience points. Don't need to PM me. If you can make a quick note somewhere on your sheet what you did, it'll all be good.
Check this post for updates, I'll edit it in as I review every character. Note that you cannot combine freebies and experience points. Like experience, you can save freebies. They will be less commong than experience, but they will pop up from time to time.
So... Can someone refresh my memory on what was out in popular culture in America in 1992 (in terms of vampire lore, of course)? A lot of Draculas were out, and of course Nosferatu was, as well (but I don't know how well-known it could be). It's a bit too soon for Buffy, isn't it? And what about other films or books that a girl who is not too refined and who has never been too interested in the subject may know?

Vampires have been part of popular culture for hundreds of years. Lost boys and Fright Night came out in the mid-late 80's. Bram Stoker's Dracula came out in 1992. There's a decent list of vampire movies here: http://www.imdb.com/list/F1w6m2-kN9k/

Amy won't know most of them, though... I can't see her being exactly interested in the genre (till yesterday ), and I already established that she's never heard of "Nosferatu" by having her mispronounce the name of the clan. So...uhm...let's go with the basics. She's seen some old version of Dracula and she's read Salem's Lot.

Its 1991 remember so don't reference something that isn't out yet. It gets kinda bizzare how much stuff I know is only just coming out. Expect Claire to mention how she wishes they would just release the SNES already. (August 23 1991)
Oh also finally spent my XP and updated the sheet.
We're right smack in the middle of Operation Desert Storm, so that'll be all over the news.
Popular TV shows include The Cosby Show, The Simpsons, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Beverly Hills 90210, Cheers, Twin Peaks, Rosanne, Law & Order, Saturday Night Live, Seinfeld, Baywatch, America's Funniest Home Videos, In Living Color, and Married with Children. Oh, and MTV.
Popular Music includes MC Hammer, New Kids on the Block, Madonna, and since we're in Oregon, the grunge movement would be kicking into high gear with Nirvana and Pearl Jam getting big on the west coast in 1991. Top billboard for 1990 is here: http://www.bobborst.com/popculture/t...ear/?year=1990

I feel sooo old now...
I was seven in 1991. I distinctly remember the TV shows in Italy being interrupted for a special edition of the news for Operation Desert Storm (I remember asking my mum if Iraq was very near to Italy and if we should be worried too. Mum had a field day explaining wars and politics to me ).
Then again, one of the first memories that I can put a date to is seeing the Berlin Wall fall down on TV, when I was five (and wondering why people were celebrating over a wall falling down... another field day for my mum. ). It seems my brain at the time was wired to remember big historical events.
EDIT: Also, since I've always meant to ask and always forgot: in VtM what happens, usually, to ghouls bonded to Nosferatu? Do they show physical changes? I don't think it's mentioned anywhere in the core book.

Found it as a rule on page 32 of Fatal Addiction. To summarize a ghoul has 5 or more points from a vamp of certain clans they must make a stamina roll (difficulty 5) or acquire a defect base on the clan. Last until their blood pool drops below 5 from said clan. So depending on what you want your ghoul to do its easy enough to avoid.
Nos ghouls suffer a -1 to Appearance under this system. (Incidentally Ventrue ghouls suffer an apparently redundant craving for Ventrue blood in particular. Tremere, Gangrel, and Caitiff are unlisted so that covers everyone. Unless we make something up...)
I should note that I've never seen this rule being used and being from a supplemental book it should be considered loosely optional. Still could be an interesting option.

All right I'm back. Still might take me one more day to update things. Need to wrap up the night and get everyone started again, and some of it I still need to plan.

Update! I'll have something up for everyone in the next twelve hours. First I need to get my place cleaned up, and pack for a trip. I'll be at a conference all next week, I'll have internet access, but as I'm one of the people actually training at the conference, it'll take time and energy out of me. After that things should get back to normal.

Also... I'm going to post IC too, and assume Amy and Danielle aren't in the same room anymore. I think otherwise you would have mentioned Flat Face and the body to me.
I still want to know who of us has been moved, though .

I have a link to everyone's sheet on a separate word document, so all good there. Finished giving our merits/flaws/etc, on the post a bit above. I was helping run a conference and suffice to say it was busier than i thought. Should be able to post at least once a day for awhile now.
