At last a critical, and it confirmed. Also one that didn't confirm, but oh well. Hopefully the 65 damage this turn should be able to finish it off.

@TraceHyde:
Have you considered Style Feats? I think a provision of "Mistbreakers count as Monks for the purpose of Feats" would be quite appropriate anyway, so you may want to take a look at them.
Boar Style works of Intimidate and gives free Intimidate-attempts as well as Bleed-damage.
Crane Style allows you to better fight defensively and make parries and ripostes while unarmed.
Mantis Style enhances Stunning Fist (which actually works in Pathfinder).
Snapping Turtle increases defense and grants retaliatory grapples.
A small (one level) dip into Monk allows you to combine two Styles, and two levels in Monk give you two Bonus Feats without meeting prerequisites.
Just and idea, since you're an unarmed combatant. Once we go Gestalt i'll take a dip into monk as well, but mostly for the boni to combat maneuvers.
So what's left after those two attacks? And if there's anything left standing, are they within the range of a charge on my part?
yeah, I think the class could do with a bit of clarification on a couple of points, but I think it works quite well on the 'giving melee nice things' front. That project is a bit outdated and I'd happily scrub it up personally. Sera, could I convince you to add a clause to that one feat to allow my Shrug It Off trade-off as an alternate prerequisite? The whole archetype is very clearly melee oriented, it would be weird for it to not have access to clearly melee-oriented feats that non-members of the same class do.

Oh, I know all about Style feats. Thing is, I can't really take them until I gestalt because they're a bit feat heavy. I do REALLY like them for making the Monk one of teh cooler classes in Pathfinder though. My Wisdom isn't that hot though, and I can't easily get Stunning Fist for a while, so I'll make do until I can take a few levels in a class like Fighter that gives me some combat feats.

Hmm... do you think I could use Magical Girl homebrew to render Marisa Kirisame of Touhou fame or do you think I would be better served making a class unique to Touhou characters and their bullet-hell ways

She's a main playable character in the game in the above linked video.
There's also hundreds of fully-animated and original fan productions, game mods, entire GAMES, songs, manga and apple-carving stop motion videos for that series, a lot of which centre on her, ranging from comedic to action packed to sometimes a little moving. For instance... (she's the blonde one in the cool hat by the way)
She dresses like a stereotypical witch, lives in a world with magical lesbians with reality shattering powers*. She rides a broomstick, dodges clouds of high speed, all encompassing energy blasts, is a known thief, a lover of pre-battle banter and taunts, is pretty good with magic, and carries some sort of super-powered fire-based octagon-shaped artefact that she uses as a focus for her energy to occassionally shoot a huge kamehameha-type beam attack that can destroy mountains or knock a health bar off teh standard, balls-hard level boss.
*I say lesbains because everytime someone sits down to make some sort of love in that universe they run into the snag that there's only one 1 male character that I don't even think is canonical compared to the possibly hundreds of female residents, so they make do extrapolating out a few lines shared between two characters in one day and interpret it to a deeper relationship. Though in fairness, they'd have to do the same for male on female lovin' seeing as these games aren't exactly story heavy
She's also not technically the main character since Reimu was the protagonist of teh first few games and so gets prime placement on any given game's cover, but most people prefer their mischievous witch to the kind of dull shrine maiden when they think of the game's hero. So if Reimu Hakurei was Superman, Marisa would be Batman - not as iconic of her genre, but better liked due to being awesomer. Though their abilities are pretty similar, so that's where teh similie breaks down somewaht - Batman can't fly so fast that he travels back in time, after all
Energy beams? Check (Illuminations)
Dodging energy beams? Check (Evasion via Kofu Shojo or Multiclassing)
Flying? Check (Costume or Magic Item)
Thief? Check (Costume for stealth, maybe a bit of Rogue-multiclassing)
Don't see any reason why you couldn't play her. Just make a Magical Girl that focuses on Blast Illuminations, then give her a costume with Discreet and Weightless. Throw in a bit of Rogue- or Ninja-multiclassing for some thief-abilities, and there you go.
Cool. I'll go render her then. Sel, you may just have yourself a sample NPC. Or possily an archetype. She doesn't use any sort of device unless you count her broom, but I've seen her smack people with that in more comedic moments. She does have that one artefact that I think works like a staff and shoots that giant energy beam, so maybe that counts, though it couldn't be used as a weapon. And while she can fly, to my knowledge she can't do so under her own power, instead relying on her broom. I could always use a simple Broom of Flying, or I could make some ACF to make the Broom a focus for Weightless instead. I'll mull it over.

You know, I never finished sorting out my equipment list. Would anyone object to me adding Monk Robes to my costume? I felt my punching capacity going up while in costume seemed appropriate enough. I don't think the +1 to AC will stack with my armour, but +5 to monk level for unarmed strikes should bring my base damage up to... 3d8. So +1d8, not that big a deal when you think about it, but it's the principle of the thing.

I certainly don't object to it.
You don't get any AC-increase, because you are wearing armor.
You DO get a damage increase, but it's not a straight +1D8. Instead, your monk unarmed damage goes up by 5 levels - from 7 to 12. That increase your damage from 1D8 to 2D6 (so from average 4.5 to average 7). +2.5 damage is a very fair return for 13000 gold.
Just got back from work. Writing end-of-combat post.
All Neverwere are down.

Yeah, I know that. I calculated though and it's +1d8 in total. See, I have an effective monk level equal to my MG level as my basis. But I have Superior Unarmed Strike for a +4 to that effective level and Improved Natural Attack to treat my size as one larger for my unarmed attacks, making my base damage go from 1d8, for a level 7 medium character, to 2d8 for a level 11 large character. And then beyond that, if I add the robes it brings me up to a level 16 character for 3d8, 1d8 higher than my normal 2d8, so totalling for +1d8 damage

Oh, okay. May need to amend my post a little

End-of-combat post is up. Would it be possible for me to ask you to copy your post, delete it where it is and then post it again so that it's after my latest one Trace?
Otherwise narrative cohesion sort of cracks.
Also, nice heal check!

Do you mind if i put up a post straight away? Or should i wait until Tracehydes post is moved?
Mostly want to ask the Magical Girl i saved from the charging Neverwere what the hell is going on and offer her some healing if necessary.

Sure. The latter may be more important however. Mainly due to the fact that she's unconscious....

I presume that i can wake her up by throwing a few Cure Light Wounds at her (you decide how many)?
I'll base my post around that, heal her first and then start asking the questions.
Well, I can't quite remember the rules for stabilizing people, but it's a natural 20 so it's kind of allowed to defy the normal boundaries, right? As in, I'm hoping I made her well enough to speak at least.
Moved post as requested. I wouldn't worry about the order so much - it's not like anyone besides the players are reading, and players generally have a good sense of what's up. I would have moved it anyway I think, but it's not that big a deal if the order's a bit off - it's expected when you get games of rapid posting rate.

I am actually showing our game to several of my friends, who have so far enjoyed it, since everyone is doing a good job fleshing out the posts.
Couple of UMD-rolls (though really i only fail on a 1 or 2) (1d20+17)[28] (1d20+17)[35] (1d20+17)[21] (1d20+17)[33] (1d20+17)[24]
That should be enough to make the fallen magical girl concsious-
Darn, forgot to roll for the healing (not that it matters much). Keep in mind that i only use enough to wake her up, because right now i don't care that much about her health, givne that i am quite angry with her. (1D6+1)[7] (1D6+1)[4] (1D6+1)[3] (1D6+1)[7] (1D6+1)[7]
Trace, the 20 will wake her up. A nat 20 on a skill roll isn't quite as reality-defying, but it will suffice.
And now the fun really starts

I'm trying to play Umiko as a warrior poet, I'm not sure if it's coming across or not. Kind of like how Luffy is goofy most of teh time and can casually kick ass without getting serious, but with a slight shift in his shading will offer some surprisingly worthwhile words or get obviously serious.

Ok, can everyone stop for a moment so I can catch up please? Almost finished on initial response post. Let me post that before any more posts go up, ok?
