The food is served reasonably quickly, and it turns out that, as Khair may have been aware, from some of the stuff that she managed to make edible enough to choke down when they were still penniless, Maeve is quite a good cook; assuming she likes the sort of things that were made, the food should be delicious.

Khair eats in bliss, convinced she's the luckiest person alive to have what she has.

Maeve happily eats as well, quite possibly idly scratching Khair's ears throughout the meal.

She deadtimes happily, purring!

Maeve will probably be snuggled against her girlfriend's side, waiting for her to come out of it, when she awakens.

Clarissa could totally seal the portal within a second, stranding Jane at the DFI. While that might not be so bad, she's not a cruel mother and she isn't in a torporific mood where she'd want Jane out of her hair anyway!

"C'mon, Dave! What are we waiting for?"

Clarissa attempts to pull Dave through the portal! To the DFI!

Maeve smiles happily, nuzzling Khair's cheek, and scratching her ears.

She sighs in bliss and relaxes into Maeve's arms.

Maeve continues for quite a while, then, though eventually, she does pause.

"We should probably get back upstairs... One of your shows is going to be coming on in a few minutes."

She nods and will head upstairs!

Maeve probably ends up snuggled against her again while they listen, likely with a couple of blankets over them and a tamed fire burning cheerily nearby, as it's starting to get cold in Inside again.

Khair settles against Maeve, purring quietly.

[Maeve's]

Maeve kisses the back of Khair's neck, then settles down to listen to the radio with her girlfriend; overall, she'll probably be generally snuggly on a low level throughout, but not really do anything that would distract her, and otherwise simply lay there with Khair and enjoy the show they're listening to.

After it's over, Khair smiles.
Mmm.
What now?

Maeve shrugs, smiling back.
"Up to you, dear. Maybe go get rid of all the dust and such from walking to the doctor's and back, then see how you're feeling?"

[Maeve's]
She nods, getting out of bed and stretching a bit.

[Maeve's]

Maeve stretches as well, then goes to get towels and such, since presumably that requires more moving around than getting the water going, and set to a temperature that, while still cold, is at least tolerable, thus making the latter a better choice for Khair.

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
She gets the water going and is ready to get in as soon as the other is; the two-person oh-gods-that's-cold speed shower is their special technique.

[Maeve's]

That sounds like a very strange Olympic competition...

In any case, Maeve is quickly ready to hop in with her, and does her best to make things as fast as possible, while carefully avoiding getting wandery, as Khair said she's not interested in a physical relationship, if I remember that conversation correctly.

[Beans]

More implied than said explicitly, but yeah.
Anyway, they'll finish quickly enough; Khair hurriedly gets the drying underway.

[Maeve's]

In any case, it was probably clear enough for Maeve to tell, given how well they know each other.

The human sets to work on drying as well, also going quite fast, and then goes to carry her girlfriend back over to the bed, to (presumably) burrow into the blankets by the fire and warm up for a bit.

She nestles close, enjoying the warmth and shivering slightly.

Maeve is shivering as well, and nestles against her too, rubbing her back.

She sighs happily and deadtimes.

Maeve will probably still be snuggled tightly against her when she returns, though she'll likely have stopped shivering by then.

She wakes with a little yawn, smiling.

Maeve smiles back, and kisses her forehead.

"Morning, dear... You sleep well?"

She nods, purring. Her ears twitch quietly.

Maeve smiles, scratching her ears.

"Something up?"
