The Guilds Row incident was sheer coincidence. I'm not even sure if I want to keep hunting them. I've got the Guilds Row, it doesn't seem to be much point in continuing.
Well, started with...2. Still have..2. So, guess so.
Well you have three now. Some guy who was writing a song about the Lack's Own thing finally finished it, and now people are remembering your valiant efforts.
Normally I wouldn't give out stats after the fact and would somehow justify the results from the EoT, but I feel that's a pretty big one.
Can I arrange a PM with a PC, who will be attending Council meeting, and request that PC to reveal the details about it/bring up certain points during it?
And if Vasari attends it, will it mean he's spent for the turn?

I learned two things about Montgomery that day... ...The first was that his men would follow him off a cliff. The second was that he would lead them there.

Interesting message. It's an addiction. Is there a limit to this terror?
Edit: Hmm... was that defiance, if a weak one?

I was going to respond with something wry and sinister, but then I noticed what you did there and forgot what I was going to say because I was laughing.
Incidentally, it's really irritating me that GiantITP doesn't have the quote and spoiler backgrounds as text color choices.
I have considered sacrificing Vasari as one of my winning strategies. This is how far you've pushed my buttons. I must examine the message again.
Edit: Didn't think white text would remain hidden for long. I'll actually put some effort into hiding my messages next time.

I find the current situation especially interesting, considering Vasari's background. If you take ''PS'' and compare to ''SM'' it suddenly gives his life a new perspective. That's really not what he expected, when he moved to Sav Altulas.

I once hid clues in my signatures during a particularly strange mystery game I was involved in. It involved dark magic and fourth-wall breaking, so it was appropriate.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse,” I said, sounding calm, probably inaudible in the midst of the screaming. “Inevitable. Wasn’t that how she put it? I told them. Warned them.”

I can see the similarities, now that you mention it, but at least the latter is a lot more cheerful than the former.
Also, I would just like to point out that I haven't been actively trying to terrorize you. But you keep inadvertently stumbling into things that have been going on in the background (twice in one turn! Same situation!) that keep ending up with you dug in deeper than before. It's like...some simile that would be perfect if only I could think of it. I know there's one out there. Just pretend I came up with something.
Being cheerful makes him even more off-putting. Vasari has adopted that shtick for himself, when he came to Sav Altulas. So when other, people are cheerful to him, that makes it much more worse.
Yes. But the second time is far more dangerous. First was by accident. Second by design. Since Vasari is addicted to mortal peril. Ha. Old drug isn’t doing it no more, time for stronger stuff. Redeye fizzled out fast. Next please. Wait, what is that voice in my head? What is it telling me. Oh gods. Why won’t it leave me alone? Please stop. Stop. I don’t want it anymore. I don’t want. Please, just stop him. Please, it won’t stop. I’ll make them change the duck sauce. And less pepper, Just leave me alone!
Well, that was a rather unfortunate misstep, I wasn’t as circumspect as I ought to have been. In retrospect I should have seen it coming.
Edit: I admit could be over-dramatic here.

My computer has stopped turning on (I'm on my roommates now). Until it's fixed, my posting is gonna be slowed down. I should manage to keep up 1/day however.

That's pretty much what I expected ESBA would think.

Meh. We'll be fine. Another turn of fighting, and the MU will just be an espionage threat. They've got a lot of espionage, but there's more than enough in the city to deal with them. We just need to get organized.
That's pretty much what I expected ESBA would think.
Its both fun and frustrating playing as the 'only sane men' in the city.

I cleared out a political prison and freed prisoners who were forced to kill each other for entertainment. The only thing making me a bad guy is my own bad PR.

And I'm loving it
I should probably note here that a lot of those prisoners (most of them, in fact) weren't really political prisoners, and the majority of those who told you they were were probably lying so you would let them stay in the city. Under the sorceress' reign, the real political prisoners vanished into the Heartspears' special dungeons and were never heard from again. Gatehouse Prison was, in truth, a prison for criminals. A lot of them were in there for pretty bad crimes, with the intent of throwing them to the wolves in the Harrowing Fields (saves money on paying the headsman, brings in some coin from people wanting to see the fights, etc). In theory, the petty criminals wouldn't get thrown into the fields, but the line between petty crook and serial killer got kind of blurred when they were running low on hardcore fighters.
Also, I really cannot stress enough how much everyone except the prisoners liked the blood games. It wasn't the upper classes watching these things--most of the nobility don't want to travel to the edge of Runner's City to see something they view as barbaric. It was the common population that watched the fights, that cheered as men, women and beasts died for their entertainment. It was bread and circuses for the masses, and not a lot of people are happy with the replacement. I mean, people barely get decapitated at all in football.
EDIT: I should probably reclarify this...there were political prisoners in there, they just weren't Desoui's political enemies (because they were all dead). Used to be, you could pay the Warden to have people stored in the prison, no questions asked, and the more unscrupulous nobles or factions who didn't have their own secret police and private dungeons took advantage of that more often than not.
