Hi there, I'm YASM. The acronym stood for YouAreSuperMario, the name I go by most of the internet. I hardly post away from gaming forums hence the fact that I don't have a ultra cool yet somehow generic nickname.
Anyway I read about 8 pages from OotS and I loved them, I can't believe I've never even heard of Order of the Stick before, this looks like my type of comic. I liked the humor and diverse range of characters the most :)
Anyway I wouldn't normally rush into creating a username for myself on fourms but then I thought I saw Phoe from EqD post in the MLP thread, and thought that this must be a friendly community by hers and the other users posts here (and truth be told, I've been looking for a new community to check out since my local one went stagnant).
Long time lurker, first time poster. I've been playing D&D for 5 years now (mostly 3.5 and Pathfinder) and within the last year have been introduced to a myriad of tabletop games. I've been told that in the world of online RPG communities this is the best!

Welcome to the playground, blinkworks!

Hello, everybody. I'll be quick.
THE END.
Ok, this wasn't funny. I'm Melfist, I'm Italian, I've got a city named after my first name in a state named after my last. I've been playing RPGs as a DM since I was seven, mastering from 3.0 to 3.5 (since I refuse to recognise 4th Edition as anything near Dungeons & Dragons), then I moved to Pathfinder. I do not only play and master D&D-based games, but also Warhammer 40.000-based ones like Dark Heresy, Deathwatch and Rogue Trader.
I'm an illustrator, but most of the drawings I make are about stories and novel that I've written (or that I'm going to write). However none of these have ever been published.
I'm currently creating a fan-made Pathfinder campaign setting in the Magic: The Gathering setting of Ravnica, based on the novels and the card set but completely compatible with Pathfinder rules. I plan to make another one based on Mirrodin, and one on Innistrad, but so far I've created also campaign settings in completely original worlds. As above, however, I've never published any but always used with friends.
For what doesn't concern RPG gaming issues, I'm an avid reader of a lot of comics, both manga and western. Among my favourite ones are Sandman, Battle Angel Alita, Monster, Enki Bilal's works and so on.
I hope I can find fans like me and fellow GMs and players.
And, if you got even to this point of the post, thanks for reading.
Welcome to the Playground Melfist! I must compliment you on your perfect english. If you feel like it there's a forum for sharing your art and illustrations with the rest of the playground.

Hello, I am a shrubbery, nothing to see here, move along...but leave the Vodka.
Hey even Sessile oxygen-stealing life forms need a good plastering now and again...and I'm told I'm funnier when I'm toasty...or is it just me Thinking that?
I may never know...
So anyway, I've been a OOTS fan for a number of years now and only just today learned there were forums here...*hangs head in shame*
It was in fact mentioned local fellow RPG'ers that there may be those here interested in pen and paper RPG's...8)
Where might I go to post a "Looking for Gamers" request for a non D&D based game? In my initial perusal I saw several RPG sections dedicated to Pathfinder and other D&D type games, but no LFG topic.
I look forward to many happy returns...and now back to my latest distraction; Shining Force! All hail to Sega for release old Genesis games in a cheap and easily playable format for the PC!

And for a brief shining moment, all was well, for all was new, for I had descended, and the world bathed in my glory. People first accepted me, and then worshiped me, and then fought over me. The world was brought to the brink time and again, but did not go over, for I did not decree it, and their love for me was greater than their hate for themselves. But this world is old, and crumbling. Soon all will be good again, for as well I am the instrument of Armageddon, too am I the catalyst of Rebirth.

Hello, everyone.
I've been reading OOTS for several years now, and have been lurking on this forum for a couple of them. I actually made this account a year ago, but only ever posted one comment, so I'm not technically a NEW new member (hope that's okay ).
On a related topic, this is only my second forum post on any forum, ever.

All I heard was "Get pasta." Nice to meet you nonetheless!

I've been reading OotS since mid-2006. I'd like to think it was what implanted the need to step into new worlds. What really got me into it, that's another story. Suffice to say, I've never looked back. Video games are just a place holder 'til the glorious weekends come.
I read a lot of comics (Atomic Robo, the 2011 Rocketeer Adventures, various Dark Horse, Marvel and DC works). Also a lot of fantasy and science fiction (Robert E. Howard and David Eddings for the former, Black Library and various writers for the latter) and webcomics. I prefer to watch Firefly, anything from the DC and Marvel Animated Universes, some anime, a movie every now and again, whatever hits the spot. I play a lot of board games (Fantasy Flight Games are a favorite) and maintain armies for Mage Knight, Warhammer 40000, Warmachine, Dust: Tactics and Monsterpocalypse, though only the first and last are painted properly, to my annoyance.
And of course, I roleplay. With dice or freeform and whenever I can. It's why I came here in the first place. The internet says great things but sometimes the internet underestimates. Whatever comes my way here, I figure I won't regret it.
I look forward to it. All of it.

Hello (again) everyone, I have once again returned from my voyages throughout the web. It's dead boring out there people, I really wouldn't bother...

This is the thief who likes to hoard,
That loves the bard with the puppet Lord
That admires the fighter with the green-hilted sword,
That employs the Wizard, whose bird is ignored,
That has the gender unexplored
That intrigues the Halfling, usually bored,
That slew a mountain of the goblin horde,
That follows the cleric,
That serves the lich,
That seeks the gate,
That guards the snarl,
That lives in the prison the gods built.
Thanks for the re - welcome Savannah and Bard - time to get cracking on some posting I think... ;)

Hello there denizens of this here playground, I am new here...
...Is what I would say if this wasn't my first time here. I used to parade around these forums under the handle of "Weebl"; but try as I might to use the account I last logged into 4 years ago, I can't remember the password and nor is the email it was linked to still active. So today I must join you on my new (and improved) username and I must say it feels good to be back. Not much has changed from the looks of things, but the surface can't tell all the stories I missed.
Side note: One thing I have learned from reading through my old posts is that 14 year old me sucked at spelling.
Hi everyone/everypony/and everyone else. I'm Piper, or Penelope, or Penny, and occasionally a Nella. I did an archive binge of OotS last month to help myself back into 3.5e. I'm a fan of games in general, because they're fun. ^.^
Anyways, I'm sixteen, like rolling dice, and wish I had some limeade right now. Also, if possible, could someone tell me more about the LGBTitP signature image?
Whaddup. I will admit, I've only tried tabletop RPG-ing like 3 or 4 times, and only the even numbered DnD editions. I have no group that I can get to stick to the game, so I mostly just read the books like a weirdo. I've read the comic for about a year, and lurked on the forum for a bit.
We have a play-by-post section, if you want to try roleplaying online: check the "Finding players: recruitment" subforum and the guide to play by posts linked in my sig!
EDIT: also, Zinc and PlusSixPelican, sorry for having missed you and a double welcome! I didn't see your posts...
PlusSixPelican, we have a LGBTitp thread here, if you are interested.
